And I can guarantee you'd be the first person moaning should Moyes come and take our better players.

Id snatch their hand off with that offer, that's just off sales so whatever money ken has put to for a striker and fer
Agree0

You say I'd be annoyed if moyes took our best players but portos whole model is based on selling their players ours isn't (although we do)
Agree0

No because your guessing

Porto sell all their players but won the league

100k 3 players wages joking, try nearer 180k and that would be cheap
Agree0

I think the ops 100k was a bit optimistic more like the 120k going out there's no we'd pay 3 new signings 60k a week

He has just taken the palace job and stated it was a dream come true as his two daughters are handicapped and live in London.
Check your facts before you try and spout utter crap

I know you find this distasteful Degsy and ToffeeMike, I can only report what I was told, via an ex Liverpool payer and current pundit. let's hope Palace get promoted and then it won't happen. Part of me wants this to happen to prove you lot wrong, but in reality I hope it never surfaces again!

Someone derided Malky McKay on this thread earlier, as a Watford fan I can say this guy is the real deal and would be a great appointment. He hasn't had fortunes to spend with Cardiff but was tactically and mentally stronger than the rest if the league by far. Most watford fans weren't happy that he left but truth is he kept our club alive for two seasons with no budget and inside a club slowly imploding at the time.
Good luck with whoever you do get because as a club I think you are the benchmark for sustainability and community contact and the support for the 96 campaign was magnificent - but Malky would be good, trust me

Agree0

I don't understand why Martinez is so well regarded. Ok it's Wigan but 25 wins in four seasons is very poor, hence continual relegation battles. Could do without them again working out all permutations and fixtures for months after Chrimbo. Ok going forward but his defensive record every season is shocking. let's face it Moyes may not have been everyone's favourite but he kept us consistey in top 8, and often higher. Big ask that. 25 wins in 4 seasons? Someone needs to get their facts right, I severely doubt they have averaged 6 league wins over the past 4 seasons, especially since they have 9 wins this season alone. You would imagine they would have just under 40 wins in the last 4 seasons.
This relegation malarky is rubbish as well, yes, it isn't a good thing, but tell me, how many people over the last 4 seasons had Wigan going down each season, I certainly did, because, no disrespect to Wigan, they are a Championship club, they don't have the finances we have (in terms of wages especially), they don't have the pulling power of an Everton, for example, Martinez wanted John Stones, and he was set to go there, but as soon as Everton made their intentions clear, he was off to Everton, very difficult to attract quality players to Wigan, and when they do, they are normally sold.
Relegation isn't the biggest factor to me because it doesn't define the manager, plenty of good managers have been relegated, I take it because Wenger and Jurgen Klopp were relegated, they are garbage as well?

all this spout about martinez being continually in relegation battles is doing my head in, suggesting that he is a poor manager. he is only as good as what he has available. It's like saying if Alex Ferguson came to manage Everton (admitedly it won't happen) but suppose hypothetically it did, would Everton automatically be challenging for the title as ferguson has been involved in many league title challenges, many of which he has won! Evertons squad is better both defensively and attacking than that of Wigan's, so he would inherit that squad to work with. His style of play is much more attacking than moyes and ball retention being a focus, this should help everton progress as we would finish off many of the game which we have drawn this season. Get off his back. If he's picked to be Everton Manager I will fully support him and believe he could go on to win trophies for us.

Ross Barkley being linked with a move to Man Utd. Moyes doesn't even play him at Everton!

If he goes then we know Moyes was keeping him back for Man Utds benefit and not Evertons, that means Moyes was in Man Utds pocket at least a year ago and not just these last few weeks.
Agree0
Disagree0
I wonder why. He has known about the United job all of last season and has kept Ross out of the limelight so his transfer fee will be lower
Agree0

Ross doesn't like Moyes. That is a fact 100%. So don't worry fella's

As if, he didn't know! Nobody knew Ferguson was retiring! Get a grip!
Agree0

Barkley won't be going anyway so forget it moyes
Agree0
Disagree0
PLEASE DON'T LET ROSS GO (Remember what happened to Callum Mcmanaman ) Hope the new manager plays him next season and sticks it to Moyes
Agree0
Disagree0
Nobody remembers what happened to McManaman as when he was here, he wasn't thought to be good enough. Just the way it goes.
Agree0
Disagree0
Mc manaman was let go because of his attitude not because of his ability, ross on the other hand has potential but i'd bet me house moyes ain't interested, rarely brought him on when we were winning and sent him out as much as he could
if your theory was he was hiding then don't sent him down the leagues were he could really stand out

Loic Remy seems to be the main target for us in the transfer window, Negredo and Soldado will chase european football, thing that we can't offer for the upcoming season. I think Hoilet is a good choise too, pushing Mirallas upfront. Cosmin

Remy is not prolific enough for me. Hope it is just paper talk. Anyway without knowing who the next manager is we can't know who our transfer targets are.

Dont think any of the qpr players should enough, I would of said remy but I wouldn't think signing him now would help the club image, hoillets been awful this season aswell
