Atsu pros
Really really fast on Fifa
Left footed
Cheaper
Cons
ACON (not really a con so is Moses)
No prem experience
Less versatile can only play wings whereas Moses can play any attacking position

James McCarthy more like Oscar. Apparently going in with a £13.5mill bid tomorrow.

According to newsnow website bk has blocked Manchester United from approaching baines but states after missing out on fabregas and strootman moyes is going for fellaini. i'm more bothered about baines staying as I think we would get diame to replace felli if he goes.
Believable6
Unbelievable16
We could get someone a lot better than Diame for the money we get for Fellaini if he goes!
Agree1
Disagree0
Felliani is in a different league to Diame, surely they would be looking to buy a world class replacement rather than a decent Premier League player?
Agree3
Disagree0
Defour would be a good start maybe?
Agree0
Disagree1
Ok Felli can blow hot and cold with his performance but on his day he is unplayable! Remember against the Mancs last season! I think RM will get more out of him than DM ever did. I for one want him to stay! (and Baines but that goes without saying!)

Agree2

Depends on which Fellaini. the holding opposition disrupting player then yes a good replacement.
Fellaini the second striker then no.
but I would still would buy Diame anyway
Agree0

Unlike Diane, Defour looked a genuine world class talent a few years back, but then suddenly fell off the radar. Does anybody know if his current form for Porto has been up to his old standard or does it appear that he's already had his best days?

This is on the tv gossip column today
Everton have reached an agreement with Granada's Guilherme Siqueira, 27, to replace full back Leighton Baines, 28, who is rumoured to be on his way to Old Trafford.

Re hashed garbage, because Manchester United CEO is coming back people jump the gun assume Baines and Felliani gone. if they were about to go to mancs wouldn't have played last night. utd made a Baines bid to see if they could flush him into a making a transfer request, hence get him for smaller fee. felliani might end up going, but expect Baines to agree 5 year deal to stay

Defour

I'd love Defour. But knowing Kenwright it'll be. Ross Barkley!
Agree1
Disagree0
Both Defour and McCarthy are too small, we have a small squad (despite what other teams have commented!) and one of the criteria Felli was bought for was height. I imagine if he goes Diame or Nzonzi are more likely from the UK, although I think we're more likely to look abroad

Dembele would be appealing

I know what your saying about being too small I don't buy that any longer the reason felleni is good is that he is massive but he knows how to use his body strength brilliantly but small players have this too Roy keane was not tall but like a rock same as shearer great body strength and Macarthy has it as well reminds me of keane a bit

Some rumours gathering pace this morning about Baines on the way out. I hope not - if we take the money (and I know every player has a price and we'd have to move on like we always do) then IMHO that marks us as a no-ambition, selling (feeder) club that has no intention of doing anything other than just ticking over and surviving as an also ran. It'd be such a let down after the positive start to RM's management. Someone well informed please tell me it ain't so :- (

Lets wait and see and if he goes then he goes, there's nothing we can do about it, life goes on

It's got to be a Rooney issue or fabregas surely why he has returned home! He's not going to shoot back to sort out a baines transfer when it could of been done before they went or when they get back! Can't see it myself.
Agree0

This is a good post and is something that concerns me too, selling Baines and or Felli is a step in the wrong direction, especially if we sell to a club in the top 4 of our own league as surely we should be looking at closing the gap by making strong signings and not widening the gap by selling our best players to clubs we hope to compete with. As we know getting a load of money is not going to be great when we have to try and replace them as they are established epl players! Blue Ben

If a player is approached or a bid comes in for a player and it is a good bid, then the player is sure to hear about it these days. (via agents). At this point, a new club also means a significant pay rise. The said player may be under contract and the club has every right to suggest to the player that he "see's out" his contract. Sometimes that might happen and the player usually gets a new contract with a pay rise. Sometimes the player gets pi**ed off and withdraws his effort or commitment to the club. At this point it may be worth the club selling the player. as happened when Rooney left us. Of course if the player hands in a transfer request, that usually signals that he wants to leave and the club usually accept. The player then loses his 10% sell on fee, which is why players now often do not hand in requests but hint that they are not happy. Thus forcing the situation and still getting the 10%. This is Rooney and Suarez all over.
In Baines' case, he is acting totally professionally by being quiet and if he decides he wants to go, I am sure we will all hear about it.

Sad as it will be if Fellaini and to a greater extent Bainesy leave us, there is really nothing we can do. If the players want to go to a bigger club there is no point in keeping them. Unhappy players don't make good players. If they are to go the sooner the better. I trust RM to find us quality replacements and as mad as it may sound we may actually end up a better squad for it.

Chief exec flew back because as some have said, they are seriously interested in a pretty big signing, would be impressive and would give Moyes some breathing space with their fans. Good news is that it isn't an Everton player.
Don't think Fellaini or Baines will go to United this summer. Would be brilliant if we kept both, and added a deep lying midfielder to cover Gibson and Fellaini, and could do with another attacking/creative player.
Sign those two, and I think our squad is looking really good.
