So were apparently linked now with a loan for Tello, see what I don't get is this Barcalona want 8 mil for him, and we take him on a loan with option to buy and he has a great season, his price tag is going shoot up I just don't see why we don't buy him now we all know he is worth that it's win win and if he can't handle the prem, there will be loads of Spanish teams that would buy him of us so won't lose too much just get the deal done before he ends up with them across the park.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - if we could get that deal stef...i would bite their arm off mate..

Me too ed but there are others intrested them over there and Arsenal are intrested, but according to the Spanish media last week we are front runners because of Roberto and he would welcome a move to Goodison, Greg okeefe also said there is intrest from us but he is not a priority for us that Martinez has other targets first, I would love to see his name on the back of our famous blue jersey but want it permently he is a fine player and still very young. It would be a fantastic signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree stef..i think o,keefe was referring to a striker being the No 1 priority mate..

Surely the fee would be agreed before a 'loan to buy' took place, so if he had a good season we pay the agreed price and if not, we don't buy.

Agree1 Disagree0

Doesn't work that way fish, they put a fair price tag on him and if we decide to go for a loan mate they Barcalona will have every right to slap more on to his price tag they are not stupid mate they know if he sets the premier league a light there will be teams queuing up for his signature football is a buisness these days.

Agree0 Disagree0

He probably was ed, but while the chance is there I say get him and get him now.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im with you mate..

If it is a loan with option to buy then the price to buy is - or should be - stipulated in the contract. then there would be no problem

Agree2 Disagree0

We should go for Divock Origi from Lille he is 19 and he is now playing the world cup it would be a great addition

Agree0 Disagree1

Regardless of how his season goes with us (if he signed) then the option to buy price would already be set between the two clubs.

So its been reported our bid for Cerci was turned down, and now rumours circulating that Torino put a 25 mill price tag on him. Also read that Chelsea have slapped a 32mill price tag on Lukaku, I think I can safely say that's us out of the running for them 2 plenty more fish in the sea.

Just read that EFC and Barcelona are striking up a partnership, which will allow us to take on loan any players in the reserve team or any exciting, up and coming talent . Barcelona are said to be very impressed with not only Martinez and his brand of football, but our club on a whole. If true it could be a very good partnership.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - i suspect we already had one denti if not official, hence the del boy deal, but it could be of great benefit for the future mate..

Yeah, clearly done wonders to Tottenham, with Madrid.

Agree0 Disagree1

Never heard of spuds trying to sign any1 from madrid, loan deal or otherwise AB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly Dentie! They do have an official partnership with Madrid though. I was only messing, anyway, to be honest. I would be very happy if this happened. Don't want us to gain a reputation as just a loan club who rely on others, like Watford, but it'd be brilliant to see all the exciting young players with us!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be delighted with a deal that makes barcelona our feeder club. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

If we truly are "by far the greatest team the world has ever seen" then why are forming a partnership as the junior member, borrowing off our betters Barcelona, let's get our pride back and compete with the biggest in Europe not hang around for their scraps.

Agree0 Disagree1

When we've had the success domestically and internationally that clubs like Barcelona have had; when we have a superb income-generating stadium that can be regularly filled with massive crowds; when we are recognised worldwide and can earn commercial income accordingly; when we can attract - and retain - the top players from around the globe; then we can be the big "I ams" (notwithstanding our history - but that's what is: history not recent trophy wins), but while we're a work-in-progress under RM we are quite right in my opinion to use all legal means - such as loaning talent - to help us move forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i cant see a problem with it sid..

Its said in the first few post about spurs and Madrid.Madrid have had the best out of there relationship by taking Bale

what do Barc want from us.? Barkley

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like the consensus is that it's ok to wait for the scraps off Barcelona, I've publically backed Kenwright, even supported Moyes and wished him all the best when he left, only later to realise that Moyes is a complete and utter snake in the grass, now after all that I hear fellow blues saying it's ok to live off the scraps of our European competitors, let's get real Barcelona are a massive world Football club, they became so by only beating their competitors, wake up my fellow blue noses Barcelona will not do us any favours!

Can't see what all the fuss is all about with Atsu

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Agreed, didn't looked like anything special yesterday

Agree1 Disagree0

Got to agree there like. He gets the ball, shoots, and hits it well over the bar. Wouldn't be too bad if we had rugby posts at Goodison.

Ed is it true that we're close to signing Steven Caulker from Cardiff?

Believable4 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I can't really help here, the only confirmation I have regarding Caulker is that Crystal Palace and Southampton have been showing an interest - presumably as a replacement for Lovren who is interesting others.}
