Few rumours coming out of the club that lukaku has signed! Believe it when I see it! Also besic is close! But he has been close for weeks now!
Let's see what the week brings

I thought he was on holiday. I fear us waiting round too long for him, and we possibly lose other targets. The silence is deafening. AGAIN . But, IMWT

If he had signed it would be announced! Why do people think that the club would keep it a secret for a bit if someone signed. If and when anyone signs it will be plastered all over the OS with " " on it they wouldn't sign a player then keep it a secret for days, what would be the point in them doing that it makes no sense.

We are not getting lukaku I repeat we are not getting lukaku

I think you're right John and I think it's time we moved on and got on with bringing players that are keen to come to us not someones second or 3rd best!

Everton have another pre season game booked for 9th August against newly promoted bundesliga side SC Paderborn, in Germany. It will be the last one before the season starts.

I'm not 100% convinced myself, but what I'm seeing in a few places tonight, is that the staff at the Everton store have been told to get ready for a mass print of 'Lukaku 10' shirts.
Imagine that ay!

Not a chance mate. He's happy.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd be very surprised if the staff at the shop were told anything that could be leaked about transfers.

This and that keeps being said. I'm starting to believe he'll be our player next season at least. Come on Bobby lad.

I know guys, very far fetched, just throwing it out there as I've seen it in more than 1 place this evening.

Agree with you Sid. I know a few people who work in the Everton (and Liverpool) shops, and they're not there because of their outstanding intelligence! They would never trust them with information like that.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lukaku will sign for us as soon as he gets back from his holidays.

Brilliant AB

Well guys, basic retail selling. If you have plenty of stock to get rid of before it becomes redundant, then crank up the hype to sell off that stock asap - simples. :o)

Agree0 Disagree0

Well never say never things do get out, look at utd who are suppose to be good at not letting news out of the club, the papers were saying moyes has been sacked before he knew

I don't know what it is, but I've got this inckling that Kev won't be an Everton player at the end of the window. Obviously I hope i'm wrong, but I think he's going to pull an Arteta and do one. Thoughts people?

{Ed025's Note - i cant see it QB, there has not even been an inkling on any forums mate...but even if he did go, would it be the worst thing ever?..

I expect our players to be tapped up by the clubs - especially when they're away on international duty with other clubs' players - but our club is in the best position it's been in for years to challenge for trophies and Champion League qualification, so what's the attraction at all but the top European clubs?

To be honest, strangely, I felt the same way when watching the World Cup. Whenever he did something good, I was happy for him doing well, and dreading any interest it'd prompt in him and had a horrible feeling he'll leave. He's wasn't outstanding last season, ed, but he's a key player.

Id be sad to see him go, big game player and he's the first fast and tricky winger we've had for years (before mcgeady and doofy loofy), just inconsistent like every winger on the planet, i'd be gutted if he left, although there are many like him and he could easily be replaced i'd prefer him to stay works hard and can always rely on him to produce magical things, something we haven't had for years, let's put it this way, I wouldn't swap him for lallana, so i'd want a lot for him

The best technically gifted player we have by a country mile. Purchased for a steal of a price. Yes Ed it would be bad. Players like Mirallas cost 20 million and expect champions league football. Replacing him would be harder than replacing anyone else except Baines

{Ed025's Note - we all have our favourites svenny, and there is no doubt he can be world class at times, but i expect 100% from everyone who wears the shirt mate, and i dont feel we get that off kev often enough, thats just my personal view though..

Cheers for the comments guys, I can see what you're saying Ed with regards to no rumours about him, but there has been interest in him during previous windows. Personally, he's my favourite player. I wasnt in existences during the club golden years, and much like Swan has said, is that he's a different, more skilful than technical kind of player. IMO I reckon he'd be a big loss AB, because indeed as you say, he was key to our last campaign. I personally reckon it'll come down to wages more than anything Sid. He could side step to Spuds for a higher pay package, and a chance to live in London.

But obviously, here's to just hoping we come out the window strong as possible.

{Ed025's Note - i think thats top of everyone,s wish list QB mate..

He's a propper player, he turned down Arsenal and higher wages for 1st team football. He
moved his family here and has learned the language. He has a click here of Buzz and Oviedo who is his best mate here. Super Kev is a top class professional playing at one of the biggest clubs in the best league in the world. He's going no where.

French press are reporting an interest from Everton in 21 year old Nime striker Anthony Koura.

Believable7 Unbelievable6

I'm sure we scout many players, which I guess qualifies as "interest", but that doesn't mean we're considering taking it any further let alone actually making a bid.

Rumoured that Everton representatives are off tomorrow to Sweden to watch Gambian strike prospect Modou Barrow play. A 21-year-old striker with Ostersunds FK in Sweden. Apparently has an amazing strike record, but mainly in the Swedish second division. Valued at £1.5M. Could be 'gosh'! or could be 'tosh'!

Believable5 Unbelievable12

It's up to McAleny, Long, Hope, etc., to prove they're better than any other forwards we might be looking at elsewhere.
