Hibbo supposed to be having a run out for the under 21's tomorrow (hope they don't ask to see his birth certificate)
Martinez must be planning to unleash him in the Derby.

Tbf I'd rather have holgate at full back.hibbert has been a great and loyal servant,but to move on I'd put a next generation player in Coleman's place.now I'm in no way slagging hibbert off in any way,shape or form,and I'd love for him to be a coach at Everton,so our young players learn first and foremost, the way to defend. Hibbert has for his career,gone about his buisness the right way,done his job,gone home to family and started were he left off the next day.never got the recognition he really deserved,I.e. England caps,but still was a cracking defender.had players like ronaldo in his back pocket,and not many players can say they have done that regularly. But to finish my post, I'd love to see hibbert play and put the Liverpool winger in his pocket,but realistically, holgate needs his chance to progress and hibbert hasn't even played u21 matches,so will not be as ready and fit as holgate.anyway I'm going for a Everton win on Wednesday. If anyone thinks different, keep it to yourselves, I'm in a positive mood for the Derby.COYB JFT96.

Well in dentie, love the appreciation of Hibbert. I'd throw him in anyway though for his last derby. Chances are slim we'll get a result anyway so let's give him his last big game and watch him snap Coutinho and Sturridge. Besides, we need someone in the team who knows what a derby is all about.

So we could have Howard, Hibbert, Osman, Koné, playing, , all past it now, think I will go away for the week.

I would rather a younger players get game time but I don't think anyone could deny hobbies one last big game in the blue shirt, he embodies everything it means to be a loyal blue, he is a hero of mine and an inspiration to younger players.

For the Semi, with Jags injured RM at least cannot go to his favoured Stones at RB, it would be disastrous (as we have seen before) . I do not know about Hibbo's fitness but imo he should play at RB, his marauding down the right is not the best but we know he will stick at defence like a dog with a bone. COYB

Ed what do u think about bringing jonjoe Kenny back from his loan stint at Oxford and have him replace the injured Coleman in team at least he has had some first team experience ok not premier league level but what other option do we have but he is a talented lad and he would play in his natural position.

. reports coming out from Spain that Pelligrini has now been sounded out about the Everton managers job and what it would take to tempt him. this for me would be an excellent app. If true!

{Ed025's Note - that would also be for me soli, genuine guy and a very good man manager who deserved better from city imo mate..

17 Apr 2016 22:03:04
Have said before how impressive it is that the guy is out of a job and yet the team are still giving him 100%. Quality manager, who could potentially be losing his job whilst handing over a champions league title. Unbelievable.

18 Apr 2016 01:26:21
For me Pellegrini would be a great appointment, great guy, genuine, honest with no bullshit in his interviews, well respected. The way he's dealt with City appointing Pep while he's still in charge is pure class. We could do a lot worse.

Everton fan thinks man with title winning experience is not good enough? I'm an Everton fan I think to disregard pllegrini as not good enough is deluded. Sorry but we have some idiots supporting us. I bet you Probably would go for Eddie Howe ahead of him no experience doesn't no what it's like to win.

According to one lad on Twitter, he sat with Bill K and Moshiri on the train back to London yesterday and they told him Martinez's job is safe and he will be given substantial funds in the summer and given one more season to turn things round. BK feels RM has been unlucky. Don't know how true this is?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - the daily sport once ran a story about adolf hitler riding shergar on the moon pedro...i suspect that may have come from twitter as well mate.. :)

17 Apr 2016 14:35:52
Ha ha that was true though wasn't it!? We will only know what will happen when it happens I suppose. Got to trust in the owners.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we have to hope that common sense prevails pedro, and that his tenure is brought to an end this summer mate..

17 Apr 2016 15:02:28
i can tell you how true it is Pedro

utter garbage, as if Bill and Mr Moshiri are firstly going by train, loads of Billionaires go on trains ha ha, secondly why would they discuss business with some numpty off Twitter.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think your far wrong there degs..

There are pictures on the lads twitter site of both kenright and Mr moshiri on the train.

17 Apr 2016 16:22:10
must be true then if the Tweeter has pics, that's because everything on Twitter is the truth and nothing but the truth

im sure BK and Mr Moshiri would sot there happily explain the inner workings and future business of the club with some Twit

come on even if the pic was real and not a photoshop why would they tell this guy what was going on, seriously but if you want to gelieve it then that's your right mate.

Kenwright and Moshiri apparently have confirmed to a fan on the train to London that Martinez is going nowhere. What the hell is going to happen now?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - dont believe all you hear BKK, even though it could end up that way mate..

17 Apr 2016 15:57:33
I have heard that Kenright often gets the train so believe that bit. As for saying Martinez is staying, he qould not tell anyway if he was about to sack Martinez, we can only hope and prey he does sack him sooner rather than later.

17 Apr 2016 18:42:37
If kenright and Moshiri are discussing employees futures to fans on trains then we should should be worried about them being absolute jerks. surely waffle.

A request for info off Ed 002.

So it looks like we are to lose the services of.

1, Lukaku Definitely
2, Stones Probably
3, Barkley according to some media

Are there any replacements being looked at and if so who and for whom?

Thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Taking these three players and positions, the situation, as far as I am aware at this time is:

Lukaku

Bayern Munich have watched Everton's Romelu Lukaku on several occasions this season and Real Madrid see him as a possible replacement for Benzema - if they are able to sell him. Manchester United has shown no interest nor declared any interest in Lukaku at this time.If the club are to look to a centre forward at some point he may well be one option the club look to in the future - but for now, nothing. PSG have had scouts watch Lukaku on more than one occasion and with Ibrahimovic leaving and Cavani very probably leaving as well they are working with some "agents" to bring in a couple of very high end players - and Lukaku is now an option for them with the PSG head coach watching him play very recently. There is now a dialog open with Juventus regarding Lukaku and they should be considered the fourth player in this matter. As for Chelsea, there are no loopholes or secret clauses in his contract that Chelsea can use to buy him cheaply nor are there any "buy back" or other clauses that benefit them in any way. There is still support for him from both his orginal player liaison chap who fought hard, albeit unsuccessfully, for months for Chelsea to give him a second chance after the original incident and from an ex-player who Lukaku has spoken to. However, there were two people at the club who were particularly offended and they would both need to agree to sanction a deal before Chelsea would make any offer.

Shani Tarashaj will arrive from Grasshoppers.

AZ's Vincent Janssen has attaracted a great deal of attention with his performances this season with van Gaal having scouts watch him on several occasions and Schalke 04 doing the same. Everton have approached AZ regarding Janssen knowing that they will almost certainly lose Lukaku in the summer. The player knows that if he does move he needs to be playing every week or his potential international career could hit a stumbling block. An offer for the player Everton is looking reasonably likely.

Basel's Breel Embolo remains a target of Arsenal, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Spurs, Inter, Juventus, Red Bull Leipzig and West Ham with Basel aware of interest from all of these clubs in addition to Wolfsburg who have discussed a transfer with the club. Inter will push to agree a summer move as they don't have the money for a January transfer unless they can offload Icardi. Barcelona, Everton, Real Madrid, Southampton, Liverpool and Leicester have also had the player watched.

Arkadiusz Milik only joined Ajax on a permanent basis in April 2015 and already they have rejected offers from both RB Leipzig and Augsburg and have told other interested clubs (Napoli, Everton, Inter Milan, Olympic Marseille, Leicester and Real Sociedad) that he is not for sale.

CSKA Moscow are willing to sell Ahmed Musa but have placed a very high price on the player who is interesting Leicester, Manchester United and Everton. The player wants Arsenal.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich have both been aware of Moussa Dembele since his time at PSG and were both interested in signing him when he opted for Fulham as a 16 year old. Newcastle, Lille, Juventus, Napoli, Everton and Spurs have also been looking at Dembele since the start of the season with recent glances from Manchester City, Liverpool, Wolfsburg, Chelsea, Marseille and Monaco. A move in January was possible but Spurs wanted to loan him back to Fulham and that scuppered the deal. With his contract running out at the end of the season Slavisa Jokanovic would like to have him sign an extension, no doubt advising him that if he moves he could be sat on the bench or playing in the reserves. Wolfsburg are hedging their bets by pushing ahead with an alternate player whilst working to see if a deal can be done for Dembele. Monaco may well already have put an offer directly to the player and will seek a pre-contract agreement. Chelsea will look to take him on and loan him out. The player needs to decide what the best move is for him and take some decent advice.

Sporting Lisbon are open to selling Islam Slimani at the right price and the prior interest of West Ham and Crystal Palace has been revived. Previous interest from Fiorentina, Napoli, Fenerbahce, Aston Villa, Norwich and Bordeaux appears to have gone. Leicester, Shalke, Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool, Spurs, Udinese, Everton and Borussia Dortmund have scouted the player recently. If an offer close to the asking price is made it is possible a deal can be done this Summer for the striker. They were asking close to €30M and rejected a €17M offer from an English side out of hand in January. So perhaps €25M would work. Liverpool will likely not pursue their interest.}

Stones

Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea all took a look at Everton's John Stones in the summer of 2014 but none made an offer. Chelsea made an attempt to sign him in the summer of 2015 but then moved on to another target. I very much suspect Manchester United (who showed interest some time back) will look again to Stones. Interest of Barcelona and Chelsea has gone for now as they both look elsewhere. Everton know that Real Madrid have attended a couple of games and are working around a major potential issue that may make them bite. Everton will resist any move, but as ever, paying over the odds could force the matter – as it could force a bid from elsewhere, such as Manchester City - but he is not their preferred choice.

Matty Foulds from Bury will be available.

PSG's Presnel Kimpembe has played well enough in the junior side to get some opportunities for the first team and to attract the interest of Monaco, Everton, Sampdoria and Torino.

N'koulou was looked at by a number of sides including Arsenal, Lyon, Norwich, West Ham and Napoli with a view to a summer 2015 move. Marseille did expect interest from Lyon to lead to an offer but they may well be hedging their bets to pick him up when his contract runs out in the summer of 2016. Four clubs held discussions with Marseille that could have lead to an offer being made in January to take the player. Roma were very keen on adding another centre back in January, Chelsea who had been having on-going discussions over two other matters with MArseille, Spurs who were non-committal and Lazio. Lazio have told Marseille that they are looking for a pre-contract agreement to take the player when he is out of contract in the summer - but Marseille explained he would be available for a small fee in January if they were interested - but they weren't. Leicester, Inter, Schalke, Valencia, Manchester United, Everton, Norwich and Arsenal have watched the player this season and it is not out of the question that one could step in and make an offer - my ex-wife suggests that Leicester are likely to make an offer but is surprised that no one has already sought a pre-contract agreement with him.

Leicester City and Hertha Berlin (who have a sustained interest) have looked at Dragovic recently but an offer from Leicester was rejected in January. There has been previous interest in the two-footed player from Monaco, Manchester United, Roma, Arsenal and Inter, with Arsenal pressing his agent on a number of occasions - but that has seemingly gone. Dinamo Kiev are keen to keep hold of the player but know that it may prove difficult. I understand that Dragovic might just be an option for Everton if Stones leaves but I also expect Leicester to return with another offer for the summer.

Barkley

Everton will not want to sell Ross Barkley just yet but there was firm interest from Manchester City which may well have moved on - the kid needs to think carefully about his future before looking to move just yet.}

Manchester City, Atletico, Spurs and Valencia have all previously declared an interest in Gokhan Tore with Atletico having made two offers to take him as a replacement for Arda Turan in the summer. I would think any Manchester City bid is dependent on David Silva moving on and that has gone for now. Valencia will probably not now follow up on their interest. Spurs interest remains but will likely go nowhere. Besiktas said that they are not looking to sell him over the winter window but were open to further discussions over making an agreement for a summer move to Atletico Madrid - and further discussions are scheduled but I suspect their interest is waning. Besiktas say they have not been approached by West Ham United with any offer to take Tore back to London but are aware of their interest. They have admitted that Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal (again) have watched the player in recent months.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Bernard has been looked at.

Bournemouth has a declared interest in Lewis Cook and had an offer rejected in January. Everton and Stoke have also been watching the player.

Interest in Anderlecht's Dennis Praet has run hold and cold for a while and the likes of Ajax, Southampton, Newcastle, Hoffenheim and Dynamo Moscow have moved on in the past year. Both Sevilla and Valencia had offers rejected in the summer whilst Aston Villa were also being kept informed by Anderlecht of any approaches for the player, but there is no way the player will want to move there and they won't have that sort of money to spend on one player. Juventus were represented at a couple of games but were, I understand, unconvinced by the player - but I suspect interest will continue knowing that his value might well tumble as his contract is running down. Fiorentina has had several meetings with representatives of the player and Anderlecht - and were seemingly getting to the point where an agreement over a January transfer could be reached but interest in another player has given them an unexpected twist to deal with and they are now out of the picture. Arsenal has again looked at him in recent weeks, once they knew that there could be a January bid from elsewhere, but I am not aware of them taking it any further just yet. I understand that Liverpool are again interested in the Praet, and it is a player Klipperty would like. Praet may well provide more versatility than others as he has the ability to play as a winger as well. Everton (again), Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund have also been showing recent interest.}

Thanks for the info Ed002, can you elaborate on the issue with Stones to make Real Madrid bite.
Thanks in advance.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note -Real Madrid had two issues, one surrounding the ban which is much clearer and the other surrounding what will happen with the manager in the coming weeks. It is very possible that Zidane could be replaced in the summer and they will think about some of the options for players - although they are already moving ahead on other targets.}

Newspaper reporting we've "stepped up our interest" in Mainz keeper, Loris Karius? Any truth in this, Ed? German keeper sounds okay by me haha.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Mainz's Loris Karius is one of the goalkeepers Everton have looked - and Dortmund are looking for a replacement for Weidenfeller who can push Burki and are again looking at Karius.}

17 Apr 2016 13:01:24
Given the chance, i'm sure he'd much rather work with Tuchel at Dortmund. Have you seen him play, Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I try not to watch too much football myself but Karius is one of a number of up and coming goalkeepers across Europe who is well thought of. Everton will look to bring in a well respected goalkeeper in the summer and are certainly hunting around for one at the moment.}

17 Apr 2016 14:54:39
Surprised by that, Ed! Do you only watch the team you support?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not at all Hugo. I am not a great watcher of the game at all. I don't have the time to watch whole games too often and rarely go to matches. Many of the other Eds seem keen on watching.}

17 Apr 2016 16:19:04
Surprised by that, but not in a bad way, mind. Assumed with all your behind-the-scenes knowledge that you lived and breathed football!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No Hugo, you can be involved without being obsessed. After many, many years you don't need to be going to games. It is time consuming if nothing else.}

17 Apr 2016 18:30:05
Totally understand! Didn't mean to prod, Ed, apologies.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Nothing to apologise for Hugo.}

17 Apr 2016 20:13:41
Loris Karius is a top goalie, as are all the goalies in the top six German sides, any one of whom would suit us and would be an improvement on what we've got. What must be taken into consideration though, is that we would need two goalkeepers because I doubt Robles would stay to play second fiddle again.
Just to throw a name into the hat Bernd Leno would be my choice, he's young, quick, and makes good decisions, and could give us long service.

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Apr 2016 23:22:37
Very much doubt, that our new owner is a stupid man, so anyone got any idea, why he has not overuled Bill, and showed the clueless one the door? All I can come up with, is that he has a gentelmans agreement with Kenwright to allow Martinez till the end of the season to see if he can turn it around. Even if we win the cup, I still want him gone.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

{Ed033's Note - Maybe he has a gentleman's agreement with Kenwright to allow Martinez till the end of RM's contract.

17 Apr 2016 13:29:03
Ed33 don't think their would be anything gentlemanly about allowing him to see out his contract mate.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - Personally, i think that if Kenwright is still thinking RM should continue as manager then i would want Kenwright out of any Everton decision making forever, tout de suite.

Remember it was only a few weeks ago when Lukaku scored 2 goals (1 was a super goal) and instead of complementing Lukaku, Kenwright said, "What a [great] manager" about RM.

It was probably kenwright that wanted RM in the first place and as far as i'm concerned also thought the majority of the fans wanted RM as well.

It appears that all RM can do as a Football manager is possibly improve a teams' passing ability and that is it. That's not good enough if you're a team with ambitions/investment as Everton are now.
