Just heard the Alan Irvine interview on Radio Merseyside, absolutely fantastic. Not only an insight into Everton football club but a very real insight into football globally. if you can pod cast it i really recommend it.

Well im just about over the semi final defeat ed just thought i would post now instead of straight away as i was angry but with time to reflect (although i thought we were naive 2nd half trying to defend a 1 goal lead in a cup game) we should be proud of our manager and players for the turn around in our season.

November/December time myself and a lot of blue's were really worried for our season, no tempo, poor play and never looking like scoring, but in the last 3 months were a different team.

Bringing in Gibson, Pienaar, Jelavic and of course Donovan for a few weeks completely changed our season and gave the likes of Cahill, Fellaini, Osman, Heitinga, Baines, Distin and others a massive lift and then all of a sudden the players that were already here along with the new signings have put in some fantastic performances and great victorys against Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham, Sunderland and Swansea away in the league and put us into 7th place aswell as getting us too a FA cup Semi-Final putting in a near perfect performance vs Sunderland in the quarter replay.

Who would of thought that at the start of the year in January?? The defeat in the cup will hurt more and there will be anger because it was against our rivals but forget who it was against for a minute we have turned our season around and ended up currently 7th and in a semi final, there is no chance i and many of you would of thought that just 3 months ago, i really feared we would finish around 12-13th this season get dumped out the cup in the 4th round and probably lose player's like Heitinga, Jagielka, Baines and Fellaini at the end of the season, now i think we will see a reaction from the semi and we still might finish 7th, and i think the players mentioned there wont go nowhere now they see the likes of Jelavic looking a real goalscorer, Gibson solid as rock and Pienaar's class and creativity with a couple of additions in the summer we can have a great season next season i really believe that.

Apart from Man United next week, the rest of our games are winnable. So be proud and carry on supporting the blues for the rest of season, we have been class 2nd half of the season, i can think of probably 2 poor performances in the 2nd half of the season whereas the 1st half i can think off probably 12 or more!!
COYB, let's finish the season strong and START next season winning games!!!

PS. Drenthe behavior is unacceptable for a player lucky enough to wear the blue jersey and i hope he never plays for us again. He is going to ruin if he hasn't already a very promising career, the lad has got ability but his application and attitude is a disgrace. Real Madrid manager threw him out the club we give him a second chance and he blows it. Not worth the hassle

You've hit the nail of the head mate :)

Why isn't the Man u game winnable? Wigan beat Arsenal last night cause they attacked. You have the mindset of a lot of us and if we believe we can't win then this is reflected in performances!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with this.

It also shows that maybe Rodwell could be tactically sold when you consider the form we've had without him. He's decent but not essential.

Agree1 Disagree0

Totally agree PaulEFC! well said COYB IMWT

Been a liverpool fan i hope you keep Moyes for another 10 years he has not got the stomach for the big fight. {Ed025's Note - but he did not throw the towel in, when beaten by his noisy neighbours!..which is more than can be said for dogleash!!, who had a hissy fit and resigned in 91...i suggest you concentrate on your own teams failings....which include failure to finance a stadium, the overpayment of average players, poor forays into the transfer market, and failure to make the champions league,,not to mention the racism issues that have blighted the club!..please engage your brain (if you have one) before you put your big gob into gear..

Agree0 Disagree0

It's difficult not to agree with all the points made, our season has turned around compared to where we were 3 months ago but the fact of the matter is we were in a semi final and make no mistake that was a poor Liverpool side, Liverpool know it, kenny knows it, the players know it and although most of them disagree the fans known it that was a huge chance for us to actually win 2 or 3 nil, soon as i saw agger left back and carragher centre back i though if we attack these like we have in previous games we will win comfortably, but Moyes who is known for his cautious approach did indeed approach the 2nd half cautiously, we could of gt a second goal in my opinion, we didn't once put there keeper under big pressure or test there full backs in the 2nd half we gave it away and we have blown a big chance to be remembered in years to come yet another defeat at Wembley in front of the football world against them lot, be hard to forget this {Ed025's Note - good post that mate, and its hard to argue against..

Agree1 Disagree0

Getting slightly bored of the same reds***e comments on here!!

Tree Blue {Ed025's Note - spare a thought for me tree!..you dont get to see half of them mate, i delete them to spare our guys from the crap!!

Agree0 Disagree0

While we are all congratulating Moyse on turning a season round again. Can we stop blowing smoke up his arse for a few minutes and ask why this happens every season? And why we have never beat any of the sky 4 away from Goodison in over 40 attempts? Moyse will keep us in mid table no problem, but don't expect to win anything that is his limit. He always has and always will bottle it when it comes to the big games. The last 2 derbies have been thrown away by him and for me that is unforgivable. {Ed025's Note - i agree with most of that mate..but until we get investment, we are unlikely to challenge the top 4 anyway..

Agree0 Disagree1

Can anyone tell me what this whole Drenthe situation is?

Bobcat {Ed025's Note - the official club line, is that he is the subject of a disciplinary matter bobcat...unofficially, he has been missing training, he is a bit of a loose cannon, who needs to grow up..
