Are we ever gunna get taken over .......
Believable6
Unbelievable1
Yes, but it could be a very very long time away.
Agree1
Disagree3
Who gives a s**t, money is not the be all and end all. look at the s**te over the park
Agree1
Disagree1
Till the ink is dry, nothing is 100% certain, im told it's 99%, that, if we preserve our prem status, we will start next season under new ownership (but like everyone eles, seeing is beliving)
Agree1
Disagree4
How can u say perseve are prem ship status we are one of the longest teams in top flight so i doubt we would go down thats just pure buls**t, even with are problems we would never go down {Ed025's Note - we are not one of the longest...we are THE longest...and as far as going down goes, no one is immune, leeds, notts forest, and the 2 manchester clubs will testify to that..
Agree1
Disagree0
It really has to be by the end of next season, if it hasnt, then I dont see it as by then we would be well and truly in the relegation battle for that season.
I hold hope for a takeover, but it has been 4yrs or something since BK has been "seeking" a new owner or investor, when we were in the cup final, europe and finishing 5th we still couldnt find it, what hope does that leave us now?
A takeover would be more about money to me, yes, people would begin to look at who we can buy, but to me, a takeover means we can keep our own players we make, the true scousers like Barkley, Rodwell and Rooney wouldnt have to leave, they can stay at Everton and represent the club they support, that is what would make me happy (also Messi wouldnt be too bad :) )
Agree1
Disagree1
You guy still thinking BK. will sell club.I don't think so.Coz if he wanna do now we became rich team.
Agree1
Disagree1
Note to ed....... we are not the longest! arsenal are. we are the second longest team to stay in top flight football {Ed025's Note - i meant good team ;0)
Agree1
Disagree1
We have the most years in top flight ed....look it up....only spent 4 years out of it....no other team comes close...... {Ed025's Note - i thought i was right...but then again ...i always do..lol

Agree1

Drenthe was a different situation, he was on the outer at Madrid and no chanc eof playing under Mourinho (was left in the reserves in the end).
Whereas Kalou is still a part of Chelseas plan this season.

Thats well in good he playin now for all to see, but who knows the history only the medical team, you wouldnt buy a car just cause you seen it drive down the road you would check history and test it out, actions like this end up costing you more in the end....aj

16 Jan 2012 17:25:30
Apparently S Campbell left finch farm early today due to 2 reasons :
1- Frozen pitch so was unable to do coaching for his coach badge
2- Moyes has offered the massive beast a contract with a variable length of between from now until the end of the season to, from now to the end of next season
To be honest i'd be pleased to see him sign for us as it would give us STRENGTH in depth for centre-backs, and would create the space for Moyes to sell Heitinga. what are your thoughts ed?
Madtoffee97 {Ed025's Note - a bit too old for me mad..

To all those saying they would like Sol Campbell, you obviously know f..k all about football. Sol {TeleTubby} Campbell is near 40 and weigh's about the same. He got f..ked off from Newcastle due ot the stick he was receiving from the fans, then went to Notts County but could fir in the team photo. Get a grip
Agree1

To post above, you know **** all as he went to Notts then back to Arsenal then went to Newcastle.

Agree1

To be honest i wouldnt mind seeing rodwel sold as i think gibson is a better and more experienced player and rodwel is injry prone i'd love to see kalou and jelavic dont know that buddle yerr but if rodwel went for over 20mill i'd be delighted
Agree1
Disagree1
Rodwell bein sold wud b good business for twenty million on the down side wud mean no were close to takeover if ever kenwright needed to make a statement it's now
Agree3

Jelavic a sub standard player in a sub standard league. Kalou not coming, at ACN till Feb and his agent has stated he will move at the end of his contract at end of season.
Agree2

We signed gibson because unlike rodwell he goes forward rather than just side to side, id take 22m all day long! he goes side to side because hes naturally a cb

To moyes to spend maybe ?
Agree1

If you read Elstone's blog he only mentions artery money and how that moysey is only gonna get a small amount of it but beckford, yak and pienaar money 8mil and no mention of it
Agree3
Disagree0
I think all the small fees wouldn't have been kept at all - vaughan, yak and beckford and pienaar money all would've been banked.
Agree2

Apparently Elstone said alot of the money has gone back into wages, facilities and securing contracts for Felli and Barkley...

Believable11
Unbelievable1
Imagine paying £35m when they could have had the Yak for £1m!
Dog Leash is gonna be fired soon. You can't blow the amount he has on average players and keep your job.
RS fans should be happy, too, it means they can start another one of their campaigns on RAWK, and write another 500 'open letters'! LOL!
Agree1
Disagree1
Well said ed i like that. How can any liverpool fan laugh at any valuation of any player in the world ha ha ha 35 million plus his wages so he as cost them over 40 million and hes crap ha ha ha.Mike ashley probally would of took 15 million for him so the jokes on all you liverpool fans . Terry laughing blue {Ed025's Note - you said it tel..
Agree1
Disagree1
To poster above,
Over 5 years, the big lump would cost something like £35m (fee), £18m (wages at £70k a week), £2m (approx agent's fee), which equals about £55m!
Absolutely priceless! Haha!
Agree1
Disagree0
I heard Aldridge on citytalk the other day saying that "Carroll was basically a free transfer - cos of the money we got for Torres" - err no John, no matter how you try to conceal it - you got got 50million - (fair enough Chelski overpaid on that but he could be a very player still) - and you blew 35m of it on donkey Carroll - haha - if you hadn't done that just think who you could have bought for 35 million!!
You did spend 35million on Any Carroll no matter how much you don't want to think about it.
And can anyone understand a word that Dagleesh says? If I listen really hard with the mumble interpreter on - I can just about make out him saying "what ya askin me that for?" in every interview - and that's about it - the rest is just mumble nonsense - we need subtitles on when he's talking!
Even one of those small deaf sgnallers at the side of the screen would be more intelligible that muppet dagleash {Ed025's Note - they could have got kun aguero for the same price...good work kenny..
Agree1
Disagree1
I just find it hilarious that the season before Liverpool bought Carroll for 35mil, the gaffer for Stoke Tony Pulis was going to put in a 1mil bid for Carroll LOL
I think it has to go down as one of (if not) the worse transfer EVER, the guy is a donkey.
Although does fit in nicely with your culture at the club, I mean Gerrard, Suarez, Bellamy and now just recently Stewart Downing can offer him a helping hand if he is ever in trouble again.
Agree1
Disagree1
And rodwell, how can you laugh about his valuation of 22m when you paid near 20m for henderson, get a grip
Agree1
Disagree0
Here's a thought, you could have got David Villa for 30 million, Villa or thingy, forgot his name already, thats it Carroll ha ha ha, 35 million, money too burn as usual, cant wait until King Kenny does a runner or gets sacked
D
Agree1
Disagree0
Becareful not to under estimate the reds. If Carroll is 35 times better than Yak watch out:
Yak scored 12 league goals if he dosen't score any more (and we all know he slows down after an initial burst on the scene) and Carroll has scored 2. This means if the pony tailed lug ends up with thirty five times as many as the Nigerian beast then over the last 17 games (excluding extra time) he will score 418 more or once every 3 min 40 sec.
Who will be laughing then!
Agree1
Disagree1
I thought this forum was for Everton, think the ed's real allegiance is clear from this board tonight {Ed025's Note - this is an everton forum!!...but unfortunately we are constantly invaded, by the once big club from across the park, who,s fickle supporters, come on here to read real supporters views!, as they are bored with their own forum, which is merely a history page of ancient glories..

I would rather get cash for him, but at least with a swap deal we are guaranteed a replacement, but honestly not the biggest fan of McGeady.

The RS are in for Defoe £10m. So no chance of us getting him even if we could raid the piggy banks of all of goodison !
Believable9
Unbelievable1
Funny how as soon as where linked with someone, Dogleash comes in and says he is interested, just like Rafa the Rat. RS need to get a f..king life.
Agree2
Disagree0
No way will Harry sell Defoe to Liverpool as it would give the RS the fire power to challenge Harry for a Champions League spot. So if Harry has any sense he wont sell to them, its a no brainer. {Ed025's Note - liverpool are not a threat to spurs....or anyone else in the top 4..

Always the same cant the reds**te scout there own players instead of waiting to see who we r linked with {Ed025's Note - them, and spurs always seem to go for our targets..
Agree1
Disagree1
Theres no chance of him coming to us anyway, 10m for an ageing striker, no way jose. also do you think harry wud let him go to the reds, me thinks not
Agree1
Disagree1
It's just a rumour as far as I know. Also, Defoe wants guaranteed first team football. He might not get that at the RS. They have a lot more competition for places. He may as well stay at Spurs, at least he might see some CL action there.
Everton would be a nice fit for him.
Shame we don't have a spare £10m knocking around! {Ed025's Note - the gulf between the have,s and have not,s is growing wider, and we are definately in the last catagory...there are only 6 teams who can win the league, for the forseeable future, and the same 6 are the only ones who can challenge for champions league places..
Agree7
Disagree0
16 Jan 2012 00:44:03
We need to hold onto our cash until the summer. We don't want to buy for buying sake. Rhodes could fail miserably in the Premier League and leave us knackered.
Loan players are the answer in January. Look what the S***e bought in January for £35m
Believable3
Unbelievable7
No proof that he wouldn't make it. Colman came from a worst league and has done amazing oh and so has Donovan
Agree9

Coleman's hopeless {Ed025's Note - young and naive at times..yes...but not hopeless.
Agree3
Disagree1
No i agree, Coleman is a headless chicken, not a midfielder or a defender
Agree1
Disagree8
For f sake, what do you want for 60k! He has played some key roles picking up points for us since he turned up, turning entire games around from 2 down (60K wouldn't have bribed a ref to get us back into the games). He's still learning to play midfield as well as making a massive step up in Leagues. While he aint the greatest quit moaning, just because he ain't Messi!
Agree1
Disagree1
Yep - I agree it aint his fault - he's trying - but he's been found out and he's not good enough at this level - meanwhile whilst we're waiting for him to do something we've got no threat going down the right hand side when he's playing - so no wonder we look crap and we're not winning anything
combine him with slow fellaini and sideways safe rodwell and struggling cahill and you can see what we've nothing in midfield
at least Gibson will know how to play the game - good signing I think that one
Agree3
Disagree2
You lot want to listen to yourselves. This player not good that one to slow another one greedy.Heres an idea why not get behind the team and stop slagging our players off or better still F..K off over the other side of the park and watch kopite s**te {Ed025's Note - take a chill pill mate..that is just their opinion, football is all about opinions..just because someone,s is different to yours..does not make them wrong!..
