Even if he has said that, why does it make it 'same old everton'? If he wants to go, there isn't much we can do about it other than get as much as we possibly can. I don't know whether you expected us to be fighting bayern/ barce/ madrid and so on by now, but that's just sheer negativity for the sake of being negative.

Guess this will define just what direction the club is moving in. If they truly believe that Rom is going to look for a move in the summer, then why would they agree to a release clause. Better to leave things as they are and get as much cash for him as possible.
On a positive note, good win again by U23s last night coming from behind to win 3-2. Still top of the league and looking good. Pennington will be in first team squad next season, cracking defender.
