Just read that we have "apparently" taken Edson Buddle on trial this week.

Don't know much about him myself, apart from the fact he is 30 and played 317 scored 118.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Heard this one too mate, could be worth a try...

Agree2 Disagree1

Just read that as well, can't believe we are looking at the American market for strikers

Agree1 Disagree2

Cudnt make 2nd tier German league 30years of age sounds promising

Agree1 Disagree1

Listen Im American and have watched him many times fast player who can deft score since he has 100+ career goals

Agree4 Disagree1

We should all know from moyes previous signings like Coleman, Cahill, jags, Arteta, pienaar that we shouldn't judge how good he is before he plays. Just like with Gibson, see how they play first before you all call him s**t. He's only a trial after all, IMWT

Agree1 Disagree1

Agree2 Disagree0

Hoilett to spurs pienaar nt even on bench yesterday domino effect watch done deal

Agree3 Disagree1

Why does everybody seem to want rodwell to go, we need to build our team around him, felli and barkley.

Agree2 Disagree3

Grant Holt is terrible, just a yard dog you think that Strac is bad this guy makes Brett Angel look like Messi

Agree1 Disagree1

Done deal my arse! Why do people think that writing that makes us more likely to bvelieve them! Peanuts not coming,DONE DEAL!!

Lukaku won't be joining everton in this window he has said himself that he is not eligible to move to another club in this window. I think moyes should try his utmost to get Rhodes people say he's not proven in the premier league the way I see it is the lad knows wre the back ov the net is and that's more than can be said about Saha!

Believable11 Unbelievable7

everton linked to playmaker steven defour and kranjcar and a possible loan return for piennar

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Don't think Pienaar will want to return, I recall him saying that he wants to reach his limits, and that he reached his limit with Everton so thats why he felt it was right to him to move, so I think if anything hes looking for a fresh start.

Agree7 Disagree4

Didnt Defour just move to Porto in summer? Where you seen the link?

Agree5 Disagree2

No chance on defour, fergies a fan of his and keeps a eye on his situation, only reason hes not at united now was the injury he had. the krank and the pieman will demand a fee we dont have...byn

Agree1 Disagree3

Love 2 hav steven defour quality player

Agree1 Disagree2

We need to be linked to the money first!

Agree3 Disagree1

If ferguson wanted detour wud have snapped him up .porto only giv 7 million euro

Agree0 Disagree1

Told you fergie looked at him before injury, he was waiting to see how he came back from it, then porto snapped him up, read the posts better, how many mangers send letters saying get over your injury soon to players in another country playing for another team, very old news and was common knowledge at the time....byn

Agree1 Disagree1

Defour only moved to Porto last year. Only played 8 games. He ain't going nowhere

Agree1 Disagree1

I know Defore moved to Porto in the summer, but apparently he is growing frustrated at he is on the bench behind the likes of Moutinho.

I have always liked Defour, think he has been class, I wouldnt be upset if we sold Rodwell, bought this lad for 6-7mil and have an extra 13mil to work with for a striker and creative midfielder, think that would be a brilliant deal for us because we lose no quality between Rodwell and Defour and get an extra 13mil out of it.

Agree1 Disagree0

No difference between defour and rodwell?? defour would tear rodwell apart, i remember when he left lescott eating the dirty he kicked up from his boots as he went past him. i thought we should have got him same time we got felli.....byn

moyes interested in bringing kevin doyle to goodison pk

Believable12 Unbelievable6

Hes always been an admirer of Kevin Doyle, his work-rate is exactly what we need upfront.

Agree8 Disagree3

We need a proven goal scorer. Do not care about work rate. Look at darren bent. Yakubu. Berbatov.

heard this at my local, rumours are that we want to bring in joey barton. we will get him and a couple of million in exchange for cahill. as i say its just pub talk but the guys are very passionate about football and tend to know whats going on.

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Hmmm cant see it as Hughes denied Barton could be going but i believe Moyes should of got him when at Man City, I heard Kenwright stopped the deal though. Would love Joey though

Agree3 Disagree1

Ok they got barton on a free, but i think it would be the other way around, we would have to give them money, and why get barton when we just got gibson, think its expanded the cahill to qpr rumour, and thats all.....byn

Agree2 Disagree1

Barton is not by any stretch of your imagination on the same field as Tim Cahill. Tim is a dedicated blue with a huge heart and unwavering loyalty. I would love it if Moyes could just give him a few weeks off to rest and recouperate. I hope Tim stays until he retires. He's worth his weight in gold! Do people not realise what revenue he generates in Australasia. His shirt sales are astronomic hes the equivalent of David Beckham.
Just rest him Moysie, give him a chance to get over his fatigue illness. He'll soon be coming to a corner flag near you!

Agree3 Disagree1

Bartons an evertonian, can not get any more blue than that, i like him, he would bring steal to the midfield, my only worry would be can he hack being a good boy back in this city?......byn {Ed025's Note - he is a good player.. but a loose cannon, but would i sign him?...yes.

Agree1 Disagree1

15 Jan 2012 15:00:25
Slightly improved performance yesterday. Donovan i thought was the best player on the pitch. First start from Duffy, i thought he did extremely well and is one for the future! Big Vic very composed finish. My only gripes are Neville, Cahill and Saha. Neville is actually worse than Hibbert and Saha and Cahill are the worst strike force in the league. Its time to give Vic a run of games. Onohua at City should be our next signing. Should be able to get him cheap and can play two positions.

And please stop with the Defoe rumours! Not a chance would we get him.

Alastair

Believable8 Unbelievable2

I think Onuoha is a good bet, to me wold be much like the Gibson signing, a very shrewd signing, would be available for 2.5mil to 3mil for a young lad who can play both CB and fullback would be an excellent addition.

If we signed Onuoha for around 2.5mil, Perbet for 1mil and add that to Gibson, I actually think those 3 would be very good additions for about 4mil.

Obviously we would like big money signings, but given our circumstances, those 3 are cheap, relatively young and can contirbute straight away.

Agree12 Disagree1

I agree with all of this

Agree6 Disagree2

And 3 new face's would freshen up the team, hopefully rejuvinate them and give them a kick, good shout mate....byn

Agree1 Disagree1

Oh....and sounds more realistic than some shouts, but not sure if perbert is on moyes radar? anything in his link, or just you would like, i know hes ment to have asked about onuoha a few times....byn

Agree1 Disagree1

Moyes stubborness in selecting Saha will be his own undoing. Can have nobody to blame but himself for that.

Agree1 Disagree1

Just because Saha looks promising on the training field doesnt mean he can deliver in a match, which is exactly what is happening, and yet he persists to select him. I really would like to know what Moyes thinks when he selects him, there must be an ounce of rational reasoning behind his selection.

Agree1 Disagree1

I asked Ed about Perbet (it is on the Banter Page) and Perbet is one that Everton are looking at, in fact, he said they have watched him a few times already. So fingers crossed!!

Agree1 Disagree1

Well in that case, iv seen perbets record and 101 goals in 216 starts sounds good for me,16 in 15 games this season, 21 in 21 last season, seen his goals on the tube, he looks good, i would like moyes to give him a go.....byn {Ed025's Note - sounds good to me byn..

Agree1 Disagree1

Yep ed025, if were talking about 1 mil for him, that people have mentioned, and we might be able to strech to, dont thing his wages would be high, which would help the deal, what iv seen he would be well worth a go....byn {Ed025's Note - you should be our head scout byn...

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed025... cheers mate but dont think my fans intrest and small googling names would qualify me haha, but hey anyone wants to recomend me to and if everton wanna give me a wage im open to negotiations....byn {Ed025's Note - you deserve it byn...

everton are chasing nicky maynard

Believable13 Unbelievable13

We can chase him all we want..we aint gonna catch him..

Agree1 Disagree4

I think we could get him for around 4 or 5 million he would help us get into europe

Agree1 Disagree3

Watched him in the championship would not
make a good prem striker champioship
about his level

Agree3 Disagree1

Theres quite a few players we could get for 4-5 million.....shame we dont have that sort of money

man utd are going to come in with a big bid for jack rodwell and tim cahill might be sold to qpr between 5 and 10 million

Believable7 Unbelievable15

Said this last night about Rodwell to Man Utd, £22 million. As for Cahill he is not bringing anything to the team these days. Great in the past though, but time catches up

Agree6 Disagree4

Love tommy and will go down as a legend. But maybe its time to cash in and move on? {Ed025's Note - tommy???

Agree5 Disagree3

Ed, its obviously a typo - you are usually the first to dismiss moans about spelling {Ed025's Note - your right...my bad..

Agree1 Disagree2

Getting 22 mil for rodders is a good price but who says moyes will get the 22 mil to invest in more players think he needs to give the youngster a run the likes of vic, duffy, vellios and royston. See if the lads can kick start something but would still try off load billy and maybe tim for right price.

Agree1 Disagree1

Do people not think if Rodders was off to MU then something would have been done involving a swap deal with Gibson? Wouldve saved a fortune in taxes which would obviously suit us. Just cant see Rodwell going to United at present

Confirmed on TV in Portugal, Everton in for André Carrillo (striker) of Sporting. Fee in the region of 4 million Euros.

In the Know!

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Not doubting you, but just seen his wikipedia, not a great goals to game record.

Agree1 Disagree4

Think we need someone better than this guy not really scored many goals

Agree0 Disagree1

He is a midfielder not a striker {Ed025's Note - he is a second striker.. plays in the hole..

Agree1 Disagree1

Described as the new Nani, so I see him as more of an attacking midfielder than a number 10.

Agree2 Disagree1

Ahhh my bad, if hes like the new Nani then lets hope so

Agree1 Disagree1

Not bad young and cheap actually let's hope he brings some more creativity back to our squad looks like he makes a lot of play from what I've seem from his stats on transfermarkt.co.uk could be worth the risk could be another very underrated player who proves to be the real deal let's hope so anyway

This is not a rumour but an observation. Do you think that Moyes will sell our best players to Man U, because he has a handshake agreement with them, once the Big Red Nose retires. So he will have our best there. Just a far fetched thought.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

No because Moyes wont be the next United manager....as a friend of mine said (season tix holder at OT)...Moyes is ok , but the fans will want a manager who has won something, it will be Jose M.

Agree8 Disagree1

Agreed, surely United will be after Mourinho, Mourinho definitely has his eyes on the United job, and I reckon Fergie will step down soon and Mourinho has a history of winning of things and I think would be the next logical choice after Fergie.

For Moyes, I think he has his eyes on the Spurs job, if 'Arry leaves for England (or jail) think moyes will be gunning for the job, the way he spoke about Spurs prior to the game against Spurs, it was like he was getting excited over spurs

Agree4 Disagree2

Mourinho will go to Anfield.
Dalglish is just about hanging on to the job.

Footage around Goodison Park is of S Round at Cobham talking with S Kalou...is a move on the cards?

Madtoffee97

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Kalou is at the african nations Soft Lad

Agree7 Disagree2

Kaloou is at the African Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast mate, bad luck, try again.

Agree5 Disagree2

Hey Madtoffee is S Kalou not at the African cup of nations ? Would be great if true he is a good player with pace. I would perfer him to Defoe his is younger and we would get more milage out of him.Plus he would have a point to prove to Chelsea . Hey ED any news on the young Dutch lad Luc from inter Milan ??
Toffee Tino {Ed001's Note - the only thing I have heard on Castaignos (sp?) are a couple of loan enquiries from Prem clubs, no idea who though.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Kalou has been given permission to stay in England until Tuesday...

How do you know hes been giving permission to stay until Tuesday?

moyes knows his budget and is the market for a few new faces. he is intrested in rhodes but is away that there will shortly be a bidding war which we cant compete in. He has no however turned his attention and willing to gamble on Vardy at fleetwood town. has been to watch him personally and has been impressed with what he has seen.Kevin Doyle has also been considered as he has always been a fan and believes that his work rate is just what is needed up front.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Perbet! Perbert! Perbet! For 1mil, to get the top scorer in the Belgian league, is a steal. 1mil for a lad who has scored something like 16 goals in 15 games and for a struggling team nevertheless is even more impressive

Agree6 Disagree2

I could score in the Belgian league. Youy have to be careful with foreign imports as you don't want to be stuck with a player that does not cut the mustard, as well as the fact that we have very little money to spend and none to waste. Still it will be fantastic if Defoe signed. Before you say it, i know wishful thinking. COYB

The Defoe situation hinges on the sale of Bilyaletdinov.

We made contact with Spurs about Defoe, and were quoted £10m. Defoe is happy moving north, but demanding £50k a week.

We do still have a budget of £4m cash (after Gibson fee of £1m). If we can pull in at least £5m for Bily, we're in a position to purchase Defoe outright.

But I would think even if we got less for Bily, we will still go in for Defoe, and just stagger the payments. The important thing from the club's perspective is to get Bily off the payroll. He is earning circa £40k a week, which the club would rather pay to a striker.

Fingers crossed. I would say there is an excellent chance of this happening. {Ed025's Note - i would like to think so mate....but it still seems a bit far fetched to me..

Believable4 Unbelievable4

This information seems to be purely deduction or even a wish list and not even a rumour.

Agree1 Disagree2

Hawwy says defoe not for sale also redsh**e monitoring situation and defoe has same agent as henderson and downing so even if he was for sale unlikely to come to us this is on ssn online........grbefc

Agree1 Disagree1

Who in their right mind would pay £5M for Bily?

Agree4 Disagree1

Defoe would be a very good signing, but in the formation we play under Moyes would he thrive? We need a target man, in the Jelly man style, someone who can stand a chance against our inevitable hoof ball at times.

Although I certainly wouldnt complain if we got Defoe.

Agree2 Disagree1

This Defoe rumour is b****cks and it was created on this site DEFOE IS STAYING AT SPURS

Agree3 Disagree1

Personally wouldnt pay £10m for Defoe in my opinion at his age

Agree3 Disagree2

kalou is a everton target and joey barton is linked to everton as mark hughes is selling him

Believable10 Unbelievable6

We have no cash.

Agree1 Disagree4

Dont want or need barton, oh and kalou is gonna run down his contract and leave for free in the summer

Agree4 Disagree5

Hughes has come out and said he supports Barton and will keep him on as captain.

As for Kalou, with other clubs chasing him, he will probably go to the highest bidder, which wouldnt be us.
