Does anybody know who the so called 8 top English clubs are that are being investigated for using EBTs to pay their players and are Everton one of them

Believable6 Unbelievable1

We might be, but you have to remember premier league clubs get allot more money off sky and various other sponsors; even if we are one we should be fine, especially if there is investors too

Agree0 Disagree0

The Premier League released a statement stating that all Premiership clubs have paid there taxes in full, all clubs are required to submit there tax returns to the Premiership on a Quarterly basis, I'm surprised you believe anything the Sun prints. {Ed025's Note - i dont know why anybody would buy that rag...especially anyone associated with merseyside!..

Agree1 Disagree0

At the risk of being shoot down. There is a takeover deal in place, the one condition, is that it would not be ratified until we had secured our prem status, something , which , a few weeks ago seemed far from certain. Once it is mathmatically certain, it will be announced, price is agreed. p.s. the group consider that goodison can, with the help of the local authority, and the willingness of the church on goodison road to relocate, be modernised into a 55,000 seat ground

Believable20 Unbelievable12

Please be TRUE,Guernsey Blue

Agree1 Disagree0

Sounds about right to me, on the judgement that moyes was allowed to spend a decent amount of money in jan, and he said the other day that he would not leave everton because he wouldnt be able to bare watching someone else spending money that he never got to when a new investor does come in after all these years. although how do you know all this, whats the source?

Agree0 Disagree0

I will celebrate when hes standing at goodison with a scarf {Ed025's Note - and his cheque has cleared..

Agree1 Disagree1

Love to believe you mate. But sounds like a pub rumour where someone has put 2 and 2 together and realised it could just be 4 !

Agree1 Disagree1

"The willingness of the church to relocate"? why would a church move to allow a capitalist company/individual to make money on sacred ground? Anyway, I like the church being there, it is one of the things that makes Goodison unique. If this rumour is true, (and I wont hold my breath), investors would be better off purchasing the houses and school on Bullens road, and icorporating them into a new super-stand

Agree1 Disagree0

Bill gates is building us a new stadium on the international space station, kermit the frog is gonna be our new manager and we signing the grim reaper as striker to put the fear of death in our opponents

Agree1 Disagree1

Its only donations from the Church that is keeping us going !. But a takeover IS inevitable in 2012 so we will ok {Ed025's Note - i agree..

Agree1 Disagree0

The Church isn't always sentimental about sacred ground, I've seen churches turned into houses, leisure centres and warehouses. If they got an alernative site and modern building I'm sure they would cooperate.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's the stuff every Real Blue dreams of...i.e. loads of money...sparkling new Goodison with 50 thousand plus capacity...
However no link to a source :( ...so fantasy still reigns supreme.

but hey just between us ...fingers crossed :)

Agree1 Disagree1

If that was true i would jump up and down showing my arse at goodison. but its just a dream us getting anyone but saying that the bu should put there cash were the gobs are and buy finch farm

Agree1 Disagree1

I think this is a very interesting post and by far the most curious comments that have been written so far ..it does smell a bit like a club or council insider .please tell us ed is this a new poster or somebody whos been on here before.. {Ed025's Note - its hard to tell mate..as he did not leave an IP but i would not get your hopes up too soon....lets wait and see..

ed have i missed somthing or have we come into cash, living down south i miss out on the tittle tattle but the plus side i bump into the odd journo i was on the underground taking the train into the smoke when i reconised a bald headed figure and said to him i dont me to be rude but iknow your face but cant put a name to it he then introduces himself as paddy barkly a top sports writer and we had a 20 mins conversation when i told him i follow everton he broke into a big beaming smile and then went on to tell me hes been having trouble with liverpool fans on twitter to witch i wont go into.but back to everton he reckons investment will arive before the summer and moyse will be in holland on thursday to watch christien erickson and a defender whose name ive forgotten i think he said he plays for belgum, paddy went on to tell me hes good freinds with moyse and hes very exited about wats on the horizon and hes window shopping in harrods in anticipation of a large summer budget, paddy reckon the kid erickson is a top talent who could go on to be one of the best players in the world and the fee could be as much as 25 million euros he then tells me he still has a intrest in joa mouthinou and steffen defour and will keep a eye on rossi at villareal and see if he comes back from injury and is back to his best, paddy tells me is buzzing about the young talent at the club and apart from barkly he thinks bidwell will go on to bacome a top class player..........yours tristen goldberg the third {Ed025's Note - the players you mention tristen, are beyond our wildest dreams, it would be great mate, but i will believe it when or if it happens

Believable1 Unbelievable12

What a complete load of rubbish, why and how would a sports writer now are stuff. dont suppose he told you who was the investment because he has told you everything else even future players ha ha ha..i personally think your a sad little kopite who is bored at home..Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree1

I will believe it when it happens although I do see something on the horizon in terms of investment and a bright future for us since the man city game and few days leading upto it there seems to be a lot of smiles on moyes face and kenwright not looking into it to much but things are looking good and I know the secret

Agree1 Disagree0

Tristen is the new gandolph ! I wish this was true. {Ed025's Note - i suspect that you may be right..

Agree0 Disagree0

All very interesting but for one Villareal rate Rossi at £25 million. So don't know where we are getting the money from.

Agree1 Disagree1

Well said terry blue. why would we believe you know all this stuff when you cant even spell? I smell a rat!

Agree0 Disagree1

Maybe Tristan is gandolph {Ed025's Note - i banned gandolph...lets hope its not him..

Agree0 Disagree0

If Paddy Barclay knew all this why would it not be an exclusive for paper and not told to some poor red s***e???
George

Agree1 Disagree0

Wouldnt pay any attention to this guy reading his posts recently and was getting a bit suspicious that gandelph was back myself or some horrible red like him but dont you worry our day will come c.o.y.b stokesylaaa.... {Ed025's Note - and sooner than you think stokesy..

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed what do you mean sooner than you think do you no something you could share with us mate {Ed025's Note - no mate...just that we are on the up, and have a good chance of having a successful season..

Agree1 Disagree1

Seeing as Paddy had a knee replacement just the other week I can't see him traveling on the tube just yet.

Agree1 Disagree1

Why oh why write an essay of complete and utter baloney?! If it happens I'll eat my hat. But this is not for me.

Neil.

Agree1 Disagree1

" Ah, hello. I'm Paddy Barclay, a top sportswriter..." Really?

Agree0 Disagree0

HEADLINE...The Times sack Paddy Barclay for handing out scoops on the District Line...

our sources said '' Paddy is a victim of ...(ahem cough splutter)... several slips of the tongue ''

Former Bantam named in England squad
Posted on: Wed 25 Jan 2012

Former City Centre of Excellence member George Green has been called up to the England Under 16's squad for their forthcoming friendly in Spain.

Green, who joined Premiership giants Everton for an undisclosed fee towards the end of last year, has been named in an 18-man squad for the Three Lions international match at Las Rozas in Madrid next month.

The three day trip on Spanish soil for the group of young footballers will form part of the Under 16's preparations ahead of the Montaigu Tournament in France this April.

In a further link to the Bantams, England's current Under 16's Assistant Coach is former City defender Noel Blake.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's just scored the winner for England's under 16's against Spain

Watch him on you tube

Everton have signed Francisco Santos Da Silva Junior on a free transfer.

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Yes I know for sure Da Silva as been taken on for free. He portugese under 21. midfielder looks good. Lets hope Distan signs. Been told by someone at club they are only offering him a one year deal. There is talk of Arsenal being interested and who can blame them. If he does go lets hope we get some cash for him. I rate him along side Tony Adams and Martin Keyone (ex Blue).
