Overall a draw can be considered a good result especially given that Felli should have been sent off. His petulant behaviour should have been costly in this match but it certainly will be over xmas. Ban coming and deserved. Disappointed to see this behaviour from one of our players

Believable25 Unbelievable4

Hopefully he'll get away with it, Suarez did for raking Distins leg. But oh hang on, the FA doesn't have a hard on for us. Oh well. {Ed025's Note - no chance of him getting away with that!...3 game ban for sure..

Agree0 Disagree0

Felli deserves all he gets, could be his last game for us, he is Disgraceful,Guernseyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully a ban, look what happened to big Dunc! Shrawcross will be asked if he wants police involvement.

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll get slammed for head butting and so he should. I don't feel for his reaction but he wanted the referees involvement way before and the ref bottled it. Time and time again shawcross hugged him, before the corner was even taken. madness the ref didn't nip in and sort it in the first place. poor reefing and an even worse reaction from felli.

This could be a 6 game ban so maybe a sale to RM or PSG might not be the worst thing to ever happen now.

Shame I'm even considering it but 6 games without him could destroy us unless ross barkley is ready

Would love to see Vellios given a chance over Xmas Jelavic would benefit from a proper centre forward too.
If he does well keep him in and let Felli sweat in the reserves. Felli was playing for the red card and xmas off. His cult status with blues fans is in tatters.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like Fellaini but we know he's going in the summer so I'm not too bothered about the ban. Identify a replacement and flog him now or then who cares. As for the next three games, its Gibbo who makes us tick and I believe the great Fellaini forward experiment has stifled Jelly and caused us to be tediously predictable. Interesting that when we've won our only two games in about ten it was when Fellaini was moved deeper and we went two up top. I'd like to see Naismith behind Jelly or Velios and I'm sure between Barkley and Hitz in midfield we'll reinvent ourselves and keep the momentum going. 40 mill in the transfer window and that Big Belgian we missed out on, on loan and we'll be fine!

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone think if distan or jagelka throw there arms around antone in the penalty area we wouldnt give a pen away why are other teams getting away with it were not very popular with refs iam sure we,d have more points without this bais tom efc

Agree0 Disagree0

If he did go I'd like to see Mo Diame, Odjidja and one of Dembele/Michu, assuming the latter can prove he can be consistent and maybe a striker depending on the fee. I know it's speculation on my part but it would add depth to a depleted squad.

Sorry but I've lost patience with howard and jelavic. Howard makes too many mistakes and jelavic simply cannot finish anymore, I want a new goalkeeper preferably butland or craig gordon, and a new striker such as gameiro or if its closer to the prem then someone like guidetti on loan from city because jelavic just does not look confident sorry but its too hard to take these missed chances and conceding these poor goals anymore.

Jelavic cant finish? get a grip.who scored a one touch winner against spurs last week? jimmy

Agree0 Disagree0

Last poster...my nan couldve scored that and she cant walk and shes half blind that was all vellios and the ball in from Gibson...Jelavic doesnt look confident atm imo I dont think he's gone bad but a bit of competition wouldnt hurt.

Agree0 Disagree0

To last poster who didnt leave his name, dont mean to be disrespectful but maybe we should sign your nan then.jimmy

Agree0 Disagree0

Confidence? That's temporary, the boy is a finisher and has proved it. He's got like 7 goals this season and is off form! What are you on????

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think howard is a top keeper but jelovic is top class were not giving him a good service getting the ball to him he takes up great positions and gets ignored the spurs game he was standing on is own screaming for the ball and it was getting passed to other players in worse positions tom efc

Agree0 Disagree0

That's why you need TWO recognised strikers on the pitch, kendall alway's had the poser who to leave out between Sharp,Gray & Heath. 4-4-2 any day for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there a reason to why my reply didn't get posted to this Ed? Took me about 5 mins to type it, I'm pretty pee'd off. Did I say something offensive in it? I tried to keep my anger at a minimum anyway, and tried to watch what I said so I didn't offend anyone.

BitterBlue {Ed025's Note - i dont know mate...i must have missed it, some other ed,s have access to these pages, so im thinking that one of them may have deleted it, i cant comment, as i never read it bitter..

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh ok no probs Ed, basically to put it in a nut shell I don't agree with the OP and I think he is completely wrong. It was always going to be hard for any of our players to score against Stoke, never mind Jelavic. He's a top striker and no one should doubt his ability.

To the OP

so, YOU want a striker, and YOU want a new goalie.

great stuff, give davie a ring , tell him how much you got to buy the above and i'm sure he will oblige

To be so alert and alive in the penalty box after 90+ minutes takes some doing. It was a clinical finish and not many strikers would have been so alert at that time. As Mr Owen said at the time you can't coach that. I can't think of many who would have put that away.

You only want a new striker because its been mentioned in the newspapers lately get a grip lad

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you even watch the games?
Just read that Jelevic has only had 5 attempts in the last couple of games - because Felli is pushed up, everything goes through him, Jelevic just isn't getting the service he was when he joined us

Agree0 Disagree0

Howard makes the very odd clanger but saves us with top drawer saves every week, quality competition would do him good though. As for Jelly he's top class, I agree with a couple of posters above, time after time against Spurs he's on the defenders shoulders screaming for the ball and Ozzie et al don't see his movement or choose not to and go square. It must be doing Jelly's head in. The Fellaini move has totally crowded Jelly out and has stifled him. I think the ban has come at a good time to illustrate to Moyes, Fellaini, the premiership and us that there is more to us than Felli.

Agree0 Disagree0

I didnt mean as in jelavic cannot finish i meant as in he lacks confidence and compitition would do him some good and howard is a liability who has cost us too many points this year (stoke, newcastle, fulham, norwich) etc

Phil

Agree0 Disagree0

Phil your full of rubbishe ! Agree howard asnt covered himself in glory this season but to say that of jelavic you need yout head testin ! One of if not the hardest workin player at the club !

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah sorry jelavic could easily be one of the best strikers in the league but for now he is off form.. i think competion might be the best thing for him gibe him a bit of drive! i think mirallas will be a big part of our game and jelavic's when he back he can score goals aswell as create chances and there the type jelavic will put away!.. onto howard completely disagree hes a top class keeper whos proved himself plenty of times however would love to see Jack Butland in our squad!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wonder if jelavic will perform better with fellaini being out.. just a thought... next few games might be interesting {Ed025's Note - felli will be sorely missed as he has been immense this season, but it will prove whether we are a one man team or not!..i dont think we are, but now its time for some of the other guys to stand up and be counted. if ross gets his chance, he must take it with both hands, and prove to us that he is not the next rodwell, and the likes of leon can silence all the doubters by stepping up to the plate and bossing the midfield, our season could depend on the results over the holiday period, so come on blues...make us proud!!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Howards world class ye i was gob smacked from stoke but rubbish happens jellyfish saved us at totttenham ye if we played 4-3-3

To original post....... GET A GRIP! Cant score anymore?.... players go in and out of form FACT, Confidence is a huge factor in that. us as fans are supposed to get bhind them! I live in Cornwall, and travel home and away every week without fail. Its fans just like you that p**s me off! You are supposed to get behind the lads at all times, especially when they need you most, such as abit of bad form. Its also the off the ball stuff, such as making himself space and being in the right place at the right time ( spurs ) Now, lets all get a grip by the short and curlys and get behind our lads. Including Howard who may i add, kept us in the game against stoke last week other than his error. COYB
