Arsenal back for Jagielka?
I wish they'd either put up (20m) or shut up. I bet Arsenal will 'come back in' with a bid of 12m which it has been reported we've already refused, and we'll end up accepting right before the window closes {Ed025's Note - they have the fabregas money now....that is a big worry

Believable7 Unbelievable8

The fact is that wenger doesnt pay "overprices"....i think now they can offer little bit more, because of that Fab-Tit.but i think they will go after Cahill, good player, and cheaper, £13m and he is off bolton {Ed025's Note - trouble is venger rates jags better than cahill..

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, pj is worth more than the 4rse will offer and cahill is a sound player and much cheaper.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd tell them that for every stupid bid they put in, the price goes up by 4 million {Ed025's Note - if they offer 2 mil...it goes up to 6 mil....bargain lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Jags will stay and be a future everton captain {Ed025's Note - i think so too

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Moyes is going to be blunt and say give us 20-25mil or go buy Gary Cahill, we know they have bundles of cash no from Fabregas and soon to be Nasri so we would want a big price, especially since Jags is very happy at Everton, so Everton hold ALL the cards and leaves if we decide and I dont see Moyes letting Jags go for anything less than 22-25mil and I doubt Wenger will stump up that type of cash

Baxter to Burnley on loan?
According to Fourth Official on Twitter, Burnley are to make a loan move for Jose Baxter. I sense that Moyes is not too keen on Baxter as he's been around a while but never really had much of a chance, but a loan move may do him good.

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Good stuff. Osman came back a lot better, I have a feeling he would too

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I dont rate him, but cant say ive seen a lot to judge.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should be trying to loan out Baxter, Vellios, McAleny and basically anyone who's not going to get a real chance this year. {Ed025's Note - lets hope we loan out yak...vic...yobo..

Agree0 Disagree0

I just can't see the likes of Baxter or McAleny getting a chance. Even with injuries. {Ed025's Note - fair point..

Agree0 Disagree0

Definetly could do him a world of good to go out on loan, hasnt had first team football since his debut really and really needs to find regualr gametime at a Championship level for him to continue to develop and improve

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea baxter is a long way off at the moment, tho velios should stay as he is looking ok especially if beckford goes

Half time tonight 1-0 poor up front. I really cant see what victor offers the side at all. Hibbo has been best player with barkley. Nothing is coming off though.

we have Barkley, can't believe we are already forced to give him a start, got to thank Billy for getting sent off, but he would be back for Blackburn.

This should mean Anichebe on the left and Barkley on the right, which is no different to some of the pre season friendly the matter is who is playing in the middle, it would be three from Fellaini, Osman, Heitinga, Cahill, Rodwell & Arteta if he is ready, not much different at the back, with either Neville or Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin and Baines but the only other problem is who is upfront Beckford or Saha?
We would be very short on the wide area if Anichebe or Barkley gets any injuries

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Should play 4-2-3-1: Howard, Neville, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Rodwell, Fellaini, Arteta, Cahill, Osman, Beckford

Agree0 Disagree0

"Forced to give him a start"

I dont agree, he has showed against Bremen, Villareal, DC United and last nights game that he is ready for the PL, need to reward him for his performances and in my opinion in definetly in our best XI (either says how good he is, or how poor we are)

Injury to Gueye
According to @Fourth_Official he's in plaster and out for 6 weeks.
There's both of our pacy wide players out then. {Ed024's Note - it wouldn't be us if we didn't have early season injury issues

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Another great start to the season on the injury front then, and that's before we have kicked a ball in anger yet

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not like Moyes would have played him anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't matter moyes wouldn't have played him Ossie will be out wide or Bily, its a pity would like to see
Gueye get a run in the side {Ed024's Note - Yes but we winning 1 - 0 Becks scored

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. I think he would have started on the bench. Shame he's injured though. :(

POSSIBLE team to play QPR?
( Arteta fit again, playing tonight )

Howard
Neville Jags Distin Baines
Osman Felli Rodwell Arteta
Saha Beckford

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Isn't Osman injured?

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't Osman injured?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cahill????

Agree0 Disagree0

Osman isn't injured, Cahill doesn't fit in a 442 formation, bring him on as an impact player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats a good side mate, but theres is no way moyes will play 4-4-2 I dont now why he doesn't but he isn't going to start now, no doubt he will play anichebe and 1 up front I could almost guarantee it

Agree0 Disagree0

Weres cahill

Agree0 Disagree0

Too defensive for me would much rather see

Howard
Neville Jags Distan Baines
Gueye Felli Barkley Arteta
Cahill
Beckford

I know Barkley is only young, but QPR dont look good enough and would be a good test for him if only for 60mins

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see him playing two strikers, not the usual moyes style, plus i think he'd only play rodwell if Cahill was playing just in front

EFC having talks with middle east party re take over. Evidently this party has more to spend than Manchester City's benefactor. However, is this what Blue Noses want. I am not sure I do not want to buy success. This should come from a mixture of bought and home grown players {Ed024's Note - Whats your source??

Believable10 Unbelievable35

His source will be his dream he had last night {Ed024's Note - let's give him a chance to speak!! My info is that Kenwright is not talking to anyone other than fan groups!!!, I would like him to sell the club so hope his dream comes true

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say (Fantasy) is the source.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think all the takeover rumours are from the same rednose person who has nothing more constructive to do with his time.

*Jog on, Jog on, with hope in your heart ..... cos you'll never win the league* {Ed024's Note - catchy tune, but surely a 1-1 draw with Sunderland is evidence of title winning pedigree!!!lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love the club to be sold and hope there is some truth in it, i have just give up with the lack of imformation coming from kenwright over the lack of action at the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if this was true (which it won't be) 'a benefactor' won't really be any good after 31 Aug 2011 as you have to generate transfer funds out of 'footballing income' and not from hand outs from some rich geezer {Ed024's Note - correct to a point, you have to show it is footballing income-i.e Man Shitty and the £400m stadium sponsorship so a wealthy dude with no brains and a clever group of accountants and lawyers would help!! but in a fair and equitable world you are correct!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Ed. Good point. Liverpool spend more on players than the GDP of most third world countries and yet they normally only manage to finish 1 or 2 places above us in the league. The rednoses are pound for pound, possibly the worst team in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh... why not, just for once let it be us spunking oil barrons gazzillions on players... I bet we STILL find something to moan about though {Ed025's Note - have you seen the price of petrol?....bloody oil barons..

Agree0 Disagree0

Afew months ago didnt DM,IMWT,say that he was happy with the current owners,we just needed some investment. If it s good enough for DM ,its good enough for me,cos he will know the truth? about us..he doesn t ,have to listen to his milkman ,aunty or some bloke in a pub who knows some one who walked past Finch Farm last week.

Agree0 Disagree0

The original post ties in with something I heard from a Norwich City player last week who is a family freind. I am sure that Mr Kenwright is in negociations with a Chinese group who wish to buy a Premier League club

Agree0 Disagree0

It wont happen and if it did moyes would only buy what we need, TOP CLASS FORWARD, maybe someone like Adebayor, would be someone i would like too see, he would also probably get cover at left back, and a new keeper to compete with Howard.

This is the team I'm expecting MOYES to play this weekend, however I DON'T agree with what it MIGHT be.

Howard
Neville Jags Distin Baines
Anichebe Felli Osman Magaye?
Cahill
Beckford {Ed025's Note - victor playing??...hmmmm

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Magaye's foot is in a cast- ruled out for 6 weeks

Agree0 Disagree0

Magaye is injured apparently (foots in plaster)

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't want Vic to be playing obviously, but we know what Moyes is like, he'll play him. Hope that's not true about Magaye:/

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it will be more like this:

Howard
Neville Jags Distin Baines
Osman Rodwell Felli Arteta
Cahill
Saha

15 Aug 2011 17:15:01
No deals to be done, moyes would need to sell jags (or rodwell but three haven't been offers for him) and he is refusing to be a selling club, he wants a top 6 finish and a cup {Ed025's Note - dont we all

Believable2 Unbelievable4

15 Aug 2011 15:33:39
looks like donovan is coming back whether its on loan or a permanent i dont know, but he will surely give us some pace which we lack. KENWRIGHT out we are standing still while smaller clubs are strengthening and spending millions he needs to go asap

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Kenwright has always done his best for the blues, remember agent johnson? we defo dont want that to happen again do we. he is the first to admit we need a new buyer, but i for one dont want him to sell to any old nobhead, its got to be someone with the clubs best interest at heart not a chicken burger man like blackburn {Ed025's Note - my opinion..for what its worth..is that he wants to sell the club, but carry on as chairman!, this is not a scenario that would appeal to prospective buyers..

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with kenwright but lets not get someone in for the sake of it look what happend across the park {Ed025's Note - whats that they say?....its better to have tried, and failed, than never.....

Agree0 Disagree0

What's your source for Donovan?

Agree0 Disagree0

MLS rules are that any club can only have a limited number of "high wage earners" - with LA Galaxy signing Keane this will put them over the quota and they will be looking to off load Beckham or Donovan.....

Moyes is looking to bring in Maynard when the yobo deal is eventually done. A cut price 1.5 -2 million deal with add on's as he only has one year left on his current contract.

Believable7 Unbelievable8

15 Aug 2011 10:36:21

Believable8 Unbelievable12
