Have it on very good authority that Sol Cambell is at Finch Farm tomorrow for a trial/practice match
Believable4
Unbelievable14
Can understand the post to a certain agree with this current spate of old boys coming back for the short term and given our current problems, however Campbell coming to Everton wtf!! He has no connect with the club, we have no money to pay what he thinks he should have and now he would not keep up with the pace!
Now we have signed Gibson (who I never rated but never saw enough of to rate) so stick rodders in as cover when fit or keep Duffy in there and give him a chance!
To all you fellow everton supporters, I live the south, never seen them play but have been a strong fan since the mid eighties!
Keep the faith, moyes and the boys have under performed but I feel it's time for the usual second half of the season push.
As much as we complain we respond well to adversity and revel in the redshirt misery! (how much for mr Carroll!).
Personally I hope Gibson turns out to be a bargain buy.
Let's turn frustration into positivity, support the boys, they will come through!!

Im out of shape with my lungs and legs packing in.....However im still better than Sol Campbell! Please do not sign this dross Moyes and give Duffy, Barkley, Vellios and Victor a chance and lets get behind the boys and start dishing out some hidings. Was it just me or did Gibsons performance give us some hope for the future?

Could Cahill be going ? Reason i put this is a Journalist asked Moyes a question and Moyes replied with the answer " Your too young to ask me ". The question was about Cahill.

Just a question, why does Morrison want to leave utd and what could we offer him moneywise that they cant?

Can you send me a link then mate, ive seen all the ones on the everton website and i cant find anything there!
Agree1
Disagree0
Morrison is making unreasonable demands over a new contract, he wants way too much money and more playing time than he realistically expect. At Everton he will be guaranteed first team football and a decent salary. The issue for me is, if he shines he will leave us without a seconds though. Man Utd would also be likely to factor in a buy back option if they sell prior to his contact running out. Morrison is also being linked with other big clubs however there is no point in him leaving Man Utd's reserves to go and play for Barcelona's reserves, therfore we are in poll position.
The Shadow
Agree0

Well if we have 4mil to work with, would love to see us going after Jeremy Perbet from Mons, top goalscorer in the league, and has a buyout clause of 1mil, would be ideal for our formation.
And then we have 3mil to sort out the centre back issue (loan maybe) and a mdifielder target (a CREATIVE one)
Agree0

Right-o, im still looking for the link you said that Moyes said after the game he was trying to get 3-4 players in this window ? So help me out, dont want to call you an out and out liar do I ?

Just seen on caughtoffside that Man Utd are going to put a £22 million bid in for Rodwell. This may explain the Gibson deal and the rumours about a £10 million bid for Defoe. Hope this is not true on both counts.
Believable3
Unbelievable9
I'd be ok with that
Agree12
Disagree2
For 22mil, yes please, the lad is struggling with injuries, and we have Fellaini for the exact same position. Yes, it will be sad to see him leave but for 22mil, it can sort out A LOT of our problems in the attacking third.
Of course, sell him with the guarantee of the money. But 10mil for Defoe and 12mil for a creative midfielder, and all of a sudden think our team looks a lot better.
I mean Defoe + Holtby + probably 1 or 2 more for Rodwell, I would take that with open hands.

He has been getting played on the wing for Villa and has still managed to bang in 5 goals (with an additional 5 assists) in 20 games this season. Saha, on the other hand, has played 17 games, with 1 goal and no assists. Get your facts right before you start posting utter nonsense.

Agree7

If it is true how are we going to afford to pay 10 million last time I checked we were skint and find it hard to squeeze 2 million from our investors besides all the debt to the bank the purchase of defoe wouldn't be prudent unless jack rodwell was to be on his way out for a large sum of mobey I don't see much truth in this and I also don't believe jack rodwell is on his way out he's still got a lot of improving to do and needs to have found his strong features in the midfield what kind of a player is he? He's a good player but I can't see him on his way out this transfer window

Unless your cousin Is Defoe or a redknapp then I doubt this Is true

If we had 10mil to spunk, would rather see a younger player from Europe, 10mil for a 29yr old is not wise on Evertons part. Would like to see us go after a young gun from Europe, maybe somone who fits our formation (target man) thinking Vossen or de Jong
Agree0
Disagree1
Vossen lacks pace and he's not that big or strong so if Moyes plays the usual Cahill and striker (Vossen) then he'd be a flop over.

Rhodes is a top quality player, and we got Jermaine Beckford from League 1 with 25 league goals in 38 games, he turned out better than most strikers we have now. Rhodes has already played 21 this season and has got 25 goals, really think he can be a success.

I'm related to people that have STRONG connections at Spurs. The story regarding Defoe is that we went in with a £10m offer which was accepted. The only problem is that Defoe is not happy with the wage we offered and is holding out for the same money he is on at Spurs (£50k).

Everton now hope to take advantage of the situation to land Kalou in a bargain deal, reports the Times.

Guys iv heard a rumour (not from usual people who am 100% about so not saying this is gospel) but iv heard Moyes has had a couple of conversations with David Weir about a short term playing contract to help us out for rest of season with our injuries, leading into coaching position next season. Am not saying this is 100% but it wouldnt surprise me. Hes still in training Everton so he is in playing condition, he would be on a free as Rangers want to save as much money as possible. It was a shock when first heard it but the more I think about it, it makes sense. Not ideal but. If that left more money for a striker, plus Jags back in 6 weeks, who knows. Dont shoot messenger, just letting the Blues know what iv been told. D

Heard from an admin friend of mine that moyes trying his best to stay with us until fergie retires but is growing frustrated with the team underperforming and fans blaming him for poor selections when he knows he's got nothing to choose from. Gibson move was just to prove to the mancs that he can mould young talent in to half a decent performer.
