I think he would be a fantastic signing Tbone. He's a lot better than what we already have.

I think he has probably become a bit complacent in the past few seasons with no challenge at club or international level. But ignoring all the TV adverts and the media stories he is a top quality goalkeeper.

He makes mistakes like all goalkeepers, his mistakes are a lot more high profile. but would be a great signing and potential number 1 for the next 8 years.

We've become used to mediocrosy in the gk department ever since nigel martin.
Not saying howard was rubbish for us, i'm sure he won us the odd game here n there but that's what he got payed for he certainly cost us points every season he played.
Wat i'm saying is, is that hart would be easily be our best gk since big nige.
Not that i think he'll sign (haha) just think he's quality and wanted to say.

I agree he would be an upgrade on our current keepers and also would class as homegrown English or whatever criteria they go by! However it would need to be the right price!

I would have him and maybe in several years when the Arabs have gone home and City have returned to their rightful place in the Championship he can "tap up" Stones to return to Everton.

No not all eds. offer a different option to barry. Silva is known for his passing skills and he offer a goal threat going forward.

Browner - why have you taken offence at Eds comment? Completely fair question to ask.

They finished 2nd in the league and quaified for Champions League. He also now has a Euro 2016 medal. He was one of the key performers for a high performing side last season and that means he attracts attention from top clubs.

And why would you pick Everton? With our rose tined glasses on of course we see loads of reasons. But all the reasons you listed also apply to Spurs. Plus they have champions league, plus they have actually proven that they're going somewhere with last seasons title challenge. Plus they're in London which is a far more attractive city for most foreign players to live in than Liverpool.

Yes I think there are a number of reasons to join Everton, but I think we need to be realistic about our targets this season as the bigger names will need a fantastic sell to convince them to come. Once we get going and start walking the walk and not just talking the talk then we can start to aim higher.

And now I've said all that watch Silva, Carvalho, Chicarito and Draxler join us in the next week haha.

You never know Ed002, he might be thinking that Everton are on the verge of achieving greatness on an epic scale over the course of the next 4-5 years, also he might feel titillated at the prospect of living in the north west of England , with its fantastic cuisine and cultural highlights, or maybe he wants champions league football. oh yes we don't have that at Everton at the moment do we? but we do have aspirations and ambitions, "why would AS want to leave sporting for a club like Everton" the real question is why wouldn't he? good talk Ed I'll see ya out there . :)

Yesterday our new signing Gueye made more tackles than the whole of Spur's midfield made during the match.

That is one heck of a stat.

It looks like Bolasie is coming, and Koeman has said he wants another CB. We are in for Ghezzal and I hope we get him as he's quick and skilful and Mata is a possibility too.
