Apparently were linked to Andre Guardado! 27 year old winger, don't know much about him.
What do you think Edd?

The express linking us to Mochengladbach's Granit Xhaka, alongside Inter Milan. Central midfielder, said to be rated even higher than Bayern's Xherdan Shaqiri in Switzerland. It seems the papers and general 'ITKs' seem to think we'll be in for another CM, with Fernando still be continuously linked

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I would love this to happen as he is brilliant

Rich84

Agree0 Disagree0

All I can say is, that on Football Manager, he is totes amaze balls.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not brilliant. He was very good for his age at Basel, but has been considered a huge flop at Monchengladbach. If we were to get him cheap, we could help develop him into the player he has potential to be and so it'd be a good deal, but he is a long, long way from that player now. Don't all be demanding we throw money at him and we'll get champions league. He is not an improvement and he is not the kind of personality you want in your team.

About the red bull takeover it's true they are after a premiership club and bill is very keen on it

Believable14 Unbelievable9

Apparently I heard the same red bull wants to takeover Everton

Agree2 Disagree1

Bill kenwright will not deal with redbull Everton fc will exist no more if they get there hands on it everything we love about our club will be gone and they don't care there is a good read on this on St domingo's fc anybody that wants this takeover read this first then decide if you want it to happen.

Agree0 Disagree1

We'd love the funds such a takeover should give us, but we'd be selling the club's heart and soul. How could we have the word "red" associated with our club? The only thing that has ever been "red" about Everton is its debts - and repaying them this way is beyond the pale IMHO :-(
BaronHardup

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you for real we are ****in skint and you don't like the word red?

The saying be careful what you wish for comes to mind with this latest takeover rumour it is a takeover we must avoid at all cost's firstly they wipe the clubs history and put it down as a newly formed club then they change everything from colours to the name and the crest.I know were in much need of investment but this is not the kind we need blues i'm an Evertonian that is very proud of the clubs history and I will tell you this if this comes true and they buy us I for 1 will not support this newly manufactured club they will destroy one of the biggest clubs in England and our great history will go up in smoke sure didn't a russian clubs supporters stop them buying there club a couple of years back when they tried to buy them.I know in my heart Bill will never let this happen i'm just worried now as it is popping up a lot I hope this rumour is false but I really think they are interested in a premier league club but not ours I hope.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Come on Stef, relax a little. How many takeover rumours have we supposedly had, in the last few years, that were all but signed and sealed? Compare that number to the amount that actually happened: 0.

Bill knows what he's doing. Just relax. It's a weekend with no football, enjoy it before we're all back stressing and shouting next week.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ye I know Keith but knowing our luck them ****er's will put up the money that the club is looking for and Bill could be forced to sell I know i'm jumping the gun but believe me they are not the type of owner's we need mate.

Agree0 Disagree1

Bill is never good at selling look all the times his messed up for us. If we was sold to red bull we must keep our name and our colours we play in

Agree0 Disagree2

I fully agree Stef, but let's be serious, Bill wants £150m (I think) so they'd be paying a bomb compared to what they'd have to pay for other clubs,

It won't happen, I'm quite sure on that.

People accuse Bill of wanting too much for the club, but it doesn't always work against us, for example (in my opinion) now as I'd be surprised if they pay the £150m knowing full well if they go ahead with big changes they face some of the biggest backlashes football will have ever seen.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think this is the kind of investment were looking for .redbull is a respected organisation, who have been successful with its other teams .its just the red in its name that's the problem, there is no way bill kenwright or the supporters would accept any kind of red incorporated in everton .so I wouldn't worry about red bull, but as an organisation it's the kind that would suit everton .

Agree3 Disagree0

If it bring us big investment why not. A club our size should be winning things if red bull was to takeover Everton first thing I like them to do is buy lukaku offer Barkley a new deal to say at the club .then buy fernando jorginho. Another good striker and a centre ack {Ed025's Note - a new stadium would be my wish above all..

Agree2 Disagree1

To the post above who thinks it is a good investment ask Redbull Zalsberg fans or why don't you just look into it it's on other sites aswell they rip your club apart and start fresh oh and then they tell you it is a new club haha ye right they can keep there billion's cause our history does not have a price tag.

Agree0 Disagree1

What Keith said, ain't going to happen. Bill will not sell at this time with the new tv deal showering all clubs with big bucks. An investment would be very nice, of course, a new stadium, a few players but sadly it won't happen.
One more thing, what's this fixation with Jorginho? I'd bet most haven't seen anything of him aside from one or two YouTube videos, it's hardly like they air serie B games very often. Is it the fancy Brazilian name?

Agree1 Disagree0

They could buy us and bring new drink out called blue bull and buy us new stadium called the blue bull arena only way I take it name same the kit same

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed 25 a new stadium is a possibility if they got us but there is nothing to say they won't move it out of the city they did just that when they bought New york's football team it would be like supporting a whole new club they will kill our history. {Ed025's Note - i tend to agree stef..

Agree0 Disagree1

I'm with you Stef, spot on

Rich84

Agree0 Disagree1

What I said 'ain't going to happen'? You then say exactly what I said, but presumably you thought I said something completely different?

I said basically the same as what you said: it won't happen. I said I'd be very surprised if it happens, which for most people wouldn't be mis-interpreted as "Redbull will definitely be taking over of Everton Football Club" (but it obviously has been mis-interpreted by you).

Agree1 Disagree0

Calm down Keith, I said it ain't going to happen, same as what you are saying, no? I haven't misconstrued anything. We're in agreement here, so chill out

Agree0 Disagree1

First things first. Red bull are looking to buy a PL team, Everton FC are one of a number under consideration. Okay fair enough, the majority of posters seem to be worried about a name change and more importantly change of colours Personally I am against both as I would imagine so is BK and the board. But would that be a deal killer?

If you actually look at a can of the stuff it is blue and white with a logo across it, as our colours stand replace Chang with the Red bull logo as sponsor and it would not be far off their actual brand, I could live with the sponsor name as I've lived with all the others over the years. If a new stadium is built and called the Red Bull arena so be it, let's face it there is little or no way to redevelop Goodison and whichever way we acquire a new ground it is going to have a sponsor name why not that?

If a take over is on the cards and yes I know it is a big if, we should not reject it out of hand due to what has happened in other countries. So long as Everton Football club continues to exist as such and we retain our blue and white strip we should at least give it consideration.

Agree2 Disagree0

We need new invstment, but not this one, everton are everton, and not part of some globle franchise.

Agree0 Disagree1

We would be selling our souls to the devil if we dealt with Red Bull. You just have to taste the drink to know they are vile and stink of piss
Cheeks

Agree0 Disagree0

Stef your ranting like this is all happening, talk about jumping the gun, we need long term investment so let's see how it plays out, we have a proud history but that means nothing if we have no future

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm down all lol, a takeover from them will be great, they won't change the name and really remove our history rather have a future than a past mate. Ps red bull taste like piss?, lol it's nice and doesn't taste like it at all mate

Agree0 Disagree0

'Calm down all lol, a takeover from them will be great, they won't change the name and really remove our history rather have a future than a past mate.'
-------------
On what planet, in which language does having our name changed, badge changed, stadium renamed and our history wiped out constitute 'great lol'
Who says they won't change these things, you?
Well, there's a load off my mind. It seems the younger generation are happy to sell our souls to win a piece of silver and be flavour of the month, they don't get the one of the biggest attractions of this club, and what makes it special and different to virtually any other is our values, history, heritage etc.
But so long as a random nobody tells me they won't, go ahead red bull and destroy us!

The redbull rumours are true well at least in the fact that they want a premier league club to buy but are more intrested in the london area. But it does say that us and the darkside could be an option but if you look at it this way do we really want to be called after an energy drink I rather keep Bill if that is the case.

Redbull will not be buying us. Every team they buy, they rename: 'new York redbulls', 'redbull Salzburg' etc. after the recent drama over the badge and the fan backlash over hull simply adding 'tigers' to their name, I can't imagine we'll be Everton Redbulls anytime soon.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Thanks for that. Not as if it wasn't obvious bull.

Agree0 Disagree1

They could rename the stadium

Rumours banging around again on other forums that Red Bull are looking into buying us!
Don't shoot the messanger just picked it up off twitter.
As usual most probably a load of bull!

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I think the media may have pulled this out of their arse from when we were linked with that rangnick fella as our new manager, he's sporting director for two Red Bull Teams in Europe and so he's "recommended us to them"
Wouldn't be a bad thing having them as a main commercial sponsorship with majority ownership as long as they kept the badge and didn't rename the team it would be all well and good, might get a stadium out of it.

Agree2 Disagree0

Why not eh, reputable company known throughout the sporting world with successful F1 teams and throughout the chav world for helping them get pissed on a Saturday night.

Although they're not changing the name! Everton Ed Bull, no thanks!

Agree1 Disagree0

There's almost certainly nothing to this, though sly were reporting, back when we we searching for a new manager, that we were in talks with him regarding the manager's position, something which he subsequently denied.
I don't know which London clubs may be available, probably not the 'big' ones, so a bit of investment for us MAYBE? Would be nice, but highly unlikely.

Agree1 Disagree0

Load of old bull

Everton Redbulls. apparently Redbull has realized spurs can't be bought and is looking at Everton and Liverpool. A plus is that Redbulls can be easily added to the name as they don't have to contend with a name change like they would with hotspurs. I guess liverpool would become the redrubbishe. {Ed025's Note - red..and bull..seem to go together really well. :)
