Something just doesnt make sense. The Qatari group have approached Blackburn which has been rejected (for some bizarre reason). But why have they approached Blackburn and not Everton? Surely Everton are more attractive than Blackburn? Stadium is an issue, but our stadium is larger than Ewood Park. It just doesnt make sense, I mean even though we are s**te right now, we are still better than Blackburn (who look set for relegation).

It just doesnt make sense, maybe the Qatari's dont want to buy Everton for some strange reason, but I dont see that being the case, it has to be something Kenwright is doing, either the price tag of the club, or any extra things BK wants, something just isnt right. It is frustrating {Ed025's Note - i does seem strange!...why would these people want corned beef...when there is prime steak on the menu?..

How can you say blackburn isnt a better investment than everton? I love Everton and goodison but it is a wreck and there is no choice to stay there or renovate it. Ewood park has options and is a newer stadium with less upkeep costs. Anyone buying Blackburn doesnt have to splash out straight away which is a different matter with us. Other than that the fact we dont own a thing in terms of infrastructure may have an impact also, Our staff and playing team is a completely investment in my opinion but the rest of the club just isnt

All Everton fans seem desperate for some foreign rich owners to "rescue" there club. I would say better the devil you know-art least the personnel you have at the moment genuinly care about what happens to the club. What if the people who buy your club are of the same ilk as the Venkys because that certainly hasn't helped Blackburn. Or the Birmingham owner whos assets are now frozen. City got the fairy tale ending but I'm afraid that is one take over out of lot's that haven't ended so well.

@ The lad who said the things about Ewood Park. Ewood Park generates 6mil in matchday revenue/income, Goodison generates 20mil matchday revenue/income. Ewood Park is 2yrs older than Goodison Park and Goodison Park ahs 10,000 seats in it than Ewood Park. Yes, we need a new stadium, but that isnt really an issue in this situation, the only difference I see is the price tag for the clubs, 125mil for Everton compared to something like 40/50mil for Blackburn, that is the only difference I see.

As for the current situation, for some bizarre reason, the Venky's have rejected the Qatari approach (there has been one, I have a mate who is a Rover fan and generally knows what he is talking about), he is saying that Everton are their 2nd choice, but am cautious, but hopeful, as it did say in one of the articles that I read that is between Rovers and Everton.

If it does happen, I guess it will be Blackburns loss for our gain?

Well ireland have qualified and its now 22.30 and still no signs of everton being taken over i didnt believe this rumour for one second

Qataris back in for EFC but price may be too high , looking at Blackburn as well . {Ed025's Note - if they are, there can surely only be one winner, we are a sleeping giant, who with proper investment, could be a serious challenger to the big 4....by the way..i consider the big 4 to be utd, city, chavski, arsenal

There is no way Bill would price us out of this deal. Yes hes a Business Man and h wants to make a profit who wouldn't. But at the end of the day hes a evertonian and that will see him make this deal happen

Guys, soft arse Bill wants 150 million plus the cost of a new ground, Venkeys will sell Blackburn for less, yes there is only one winner and again because of Mr dips**t and the board it wont be us

I agree this would be a great takeover if BK does not stand in the way of it the club is and for many years now beeen crying out for major investment why should we be in the shadows of other clubs,come on Bill if you are a true blue lower the price and allow the takeover to happen
