lookman and DCL have a lovely understanding i think, lookman has 2 assists this season now both for lewin, they play together for england and do well together for them also, think lookman needs a run of games on the right bernard on left richarlison just behind lewin. let siggy compete with gomes and gana for the 2 cm spots
that front 4 would be lethal i think.

Agree Johny mate on Lookman not sure though on DCL, i reckon Tosun and Niasse will go this window, and think Marco will get another striker in.

I like DCL but as we all saw in the Spurs thrashing there is a massive gulf between what we had up top and what Spurs had. If we want to bridge the gap we need better than DCL, whilst not giving up on him. He is the future but not the here and now that will make us as competitive as the top six. Lookman on the other hand is class. Every non EFC fan that I know says the same.

not saying he's gun a be anywhere near kane but lewin is on more goals this season already than kane had at 21 mate oh how we would love him to turn out like harry haha.

before i get inundated with how wrong i am i think i misjudged that he is on more now than kane when kane was 20 not 21, 21 was kanes break through season.

That would be great Johny although I’d be happy with a modest 15-20 goals a season return in years to come. Although your original point about the connection between DCL and Lookman is a good one. I would like to see more of that now that Silva looks happy to use the two players more.

looked into it a bit Ace and kane by the end of the season when he was 21 had 52 goals in 142 games, that's including his loans to lower league teams. DCL has 29 in 120 not a bad return when u consider how often lewin has played out on the wing.
Again am not saying he's gunna be Kane am just saying in my opinion he's gunna be a top top player who deserves time in the team and people off his back as players like kane had 1 season of premier league football to his name by lewins age the kids been doing a job for us for 3 years now, if lewin had gone on loan to lower league teams the last 2 seasons his and kanes goal return would be a lot closer. The boy has every attribute we want in a striker he's fast good finish and good in the air. if we sell him we will regret it by the time he's 25.

Lookman MoM for me against Bournemouth. A little disconcerting though that he played best on the LW when he went over there and once the striker situation is sorted out we will then have 3 very good LW's and one neutered RW.

Agree totally with your original Post Johnny.

Calvert-Lewin is young, as is lookman. They’ll both do well given time.

I look at DCL and think back to Greame Sharp, he was a right donkey at first but in the end he was a good all round centre forward and lead the line to a couple of league titles I am undecided about DCL and at times think he will never make it but I thought the same about Sharpe and he has pace, works hard and never complains when not in the side. I like his attitude and effort so maybe if we get better he will do, but need to play in the middle I think.

Really don't care how we got them, we just needed those three points. on a side note Seamus looks so out of sorts his confidence has completely gone COYB.

The lad is Everton through and through but there comes a time in every career that someone better comes along. In Colemans case Kenny is younger and legs are stronger but we do need another RB. Mr Silva is human and no different to every other Manager, they may deny it but they have their favourites and sometimes this blinds them to seeing loss of form. We continue to play Gomes at the moment when he clearly needs a rest.

i thought coleman had a better game yesterday, weather it was knowing the manager will play kenny like he did in previous game or weather it was lookman doing more defensively in one game than walcotts done all season.

Ed, do you think Chelsea would do business on a permanent Zouma deal, or are they just loaning him until the time is right to use him?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - At the moment it is a straight loan and given they are in the process of making changes at CB by next season he would likely end up as cover. If he were to ask to leave and decide on Everton as his next destination, then Everton need to make a proposal to Chelsea about buying him at the end of his loan in the summer. If the player wants to leave and the proposed deal satisfies all parties, then it may be an option - but there is some interest from elsewhere.}

Great info. Thanks Ed002.

Pity about interest from elsewhere but I have to say not surprising. I knew the lad was a good player having watched him and then for us. I particularly like his runs out of defence. Seems to me our loans (apart from Digne) are were our best business.

Hi Ed we interested in Tanguy Ndombele from PSG do you know with Gueye going the other way, they want £75 million for him, seems pie in the sky to me mate cheers.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Ndombele does not play for PSG - he plans for Lyon and is seen by MC as the new Yaya Toure. I would not hold your breath.}

Didn't lyon reject 45 mill for him from city.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They are looking for a lot of money - €80M is the asking price.}

13 Jan 2019 18:19:09
Thought he played for Lyon or I might be thinking of another midfielder.

{Ed002's Note - My error.}

13 Jan 2019 19:29:38
He doesn’t play for Nice either; he plays for Lyon. But the rest is right. Effortlessly brilliant and will be a brilliant premier league midfielder. Man City need to replace Fernandinho eventually.
