Rapidly running out of quality players out there for us to bring in, Adam Traore gone to Villa. It is unbelievable how in just 2 seasons how far moral has sunk and how little regard our Club is held in the football world. RM is not the manager for us and it is really scary the potential decline he is bringing us to.

IMO dunc things have not bin great but I do believe all the negativity is way over the top many on here have called us a selling club which I think now couldn't be further from the truth as someone posted earlier which I agree with is the fact we have kept hold of Coleman stones McCarthy all of which could of gone for huge money so selling club we are not also great business in holding onto garbutt and mirallas when most thought we would lose both top that with the signings of clev deulofeu and now holgate then so far it's bin a really good window plus I'm sure we will bring in the two or three before window shuts it is tough sitting and waiting but with Everton it's always bin that way got a wealth of talented youngsters comin through the ranks at the moment a lot of whom are English which is encouraging I still believe Martinez will turn it around and if not the future still looks very bright for me bit of patience is all that's needed our squad is stronger right than it has bin for a long time win on sat is a must get the confidence going

Bill kenright is the problem. He needs to sell up before its to late. With the likes of palace and stoke seem to have more money than we do it won't be long before we go down.

His position on seeking investment just isn't realistic. With a dilapidated stadium, zero scope for corporate revenue and no concrete plans for redevelopment or a new ground, nobody in their right mind would agree to invest without having control of the Club. If he loves the Club as much as he says he does (which I don't doubt), he should give up on his dream of retaining ownership and sell up. Further upside on him selling is that RM would actually have to deliver performances to keep his job rather than just coming across as a nice guy.

That said, we wouldn't even be much of a proposition to buy outright given the state of the stadium and lack of plans for a new one.

I can't believe the negativity or the stupidity of some of my fellow fans. I think if we had signed Tom, Dick, and Harry and they all looked good on FIFA15 then we would be talking top 4, but as we are being a little more prudent to get the best spend then we demand that Kenwright sells the club. Do fans really believe there are a line of Russian billionaires or Arab sheiks lined up to invest their hard earned petro dollars in our club? We seem intent of rubbishing what we have, which begs the question what sort of fans are we?
I understand frustrations, but the constant bitching and moaning is not only depressing, it's getting boring.

{Ed025's Note - a lot of it is out of concern for the future of this great club fishy, tell me that your happy with the squad we have and the way we are run? its ok having ostrich syndrome mate but as shakespear put it.."something is rotten in the city of denmark"..

I agree Fishyblue! Main priority was to keep what we have. All regulars are tied with long contracts and it makes sense with the budget Everton has to only bring in players that will improve the squad like Clev and Del boy. Moyes very rarely got signing someone wrong. Hopefully Martinez keeps it going. Only way we'll keep improving. Totally agree with Fishyblue about too much giving out. I would love us to sign plenty of decent players but you have to be realistic and try to improve the team within our means. That's the way I see it until there's a bigger pot available.

{Ed025's Note - nothing im afraid GB..sorry..

13 Aug 2015 21:38:51
No chance rm will play with 2 wingers either. He,s to negative. He wil play 2 holding mids and another holding mid on the wing (cleverly) and another cm (barkley) in the no 10 role and wil continue to play the slow boring football he played last season. sooner he goes the better

Agree5 Disagree2

13 Aug 2015 22:10:15
i agree fozz wth is that about, he never plays 2 wingers, rather play someone out of position on the wing, I don't claim to be someone who knows it all regarding tactics but these tactics are mental, my 7 yr old son can even see it. rm is not good enough for us, he can't pick a balanced team, tactics are poor, and we have no fight, at least under moyes we were never out of a game, when we werew up against it we had a fight, rm 1st season was moyes solidarity and never say die attertude with a bit of freedom, now that moyes side has gone, we are a team everyone looks forward to playing. bring back moyes seriously

Agree2 Disagree1

13 Aug 2015 22:31:24
I disagree to an extent toffeeblue, away to Liverpool, Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea we were beaten before the game even started and there was no fight.

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - im with you swan..

13 Aug 2015 22:58:34
Rubbish under Moyes we threw away the chance to win the cup against Chelsea because once we scored it was defend defend defend. When all we had to do was carry on taking it to them. Moyes was scared of top 4/5 teams and convinced everyone that finishing 7th was an achievement. Move on.

Agree5 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - move on indeed mate..

14 Aug 2015 10:54:15
And this bloke will spin and spin that finishing in the top 15 is an achievement. Look at his smug face at the end of last season after we finished 11th. I have seen Managers come and go and believe me this bloke is in the Walker class. We have some good young players at our Club but this bloke and his tactics is destroying their confidence before they have begun.

Agree1 Disagree2

14 Aug 2015 16:45:39
I can't understand the extent of the negativity towards RM. Yes, last season was disappointing, and some of the blame should be placed on the manager, however the amount of goals that we conceded due to lapses in concentration was ridiculous and our star players simply didn't perform at the levels of the previous season.
Some fans seem to have forgotten the quality of football that was played by Everton during the 13/14 season, which was brought to us by Martinez. I've never known a more satisfying season to be an Evertonian (I'm too young to remember the 80's), and I believe RM should be given every chance to get the team playing those levels of football again.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2015 18:49:49
that season scooby, was not rm, it was mostly moyes squad his work ethic, fight and his teams beleif, rm brought a bit of freedom as a result a great season, now though ethic togetherness and beleif have gone, resulting in last season, and I might point out to swan under moyes we mainly challanged for europe, in my eyes that's better than challanging for 10th and I am not saying moyes is the answer but right now I would have him over rm anyday. I don't rate rm in anyway at all, we look like wigan and tbh play worse than they did wqhen they were in prem.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Aug 2015 19:39:01
I agree with most of what you say toffeeblue. You don't believe Moyes is the answer? Well he most certainly was when he first came to Everton! Imo too many people give out about Moyes. Same people must have very short memories. David Moyes was at Everton for a long period and steadily brought the club from relegation dog fights every year to competing for Europe every year. When he took over Eveton were in dire straits. Bottom of the league and looking very poor roughly half way through the league if I'm not mistaken. As far as I remember the first thing he done was make Big Dunc captain. Since then up until he left he was very shrewd in the transfer market. As I said took Everton from relegation contenders to European contenders on a budget that almost no order managers could manage on. Even Alex Ferguson said that. Bill Kenwright got it spot on with Moyes and between them they took Everton to as high up the league as they could. What do people expect Everton to compete with the money the rest are spending with the budget they have? The only Everton could of possibly got better than how Moyes done is if a big multi billionaire came in like Man City. Jury still out for Martinez in my opinion. Defence is a concern. Ok, rant over. Remember where we came from!

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2015 20:18:03
i agree completly nbtb, I did not say I don't believe moyes is the answer I said am not saying he is, personally, I liked the guy and was pissed off when he left, and I would have him back. if am honest I wish he never left.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Aug 2015 20:47:53
Thank god there's some Evertonians who remember what David Moyes done for the club. God knows where we'd be now if he had not taken over all them years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2015 17:20:23
I am also in support of what was achieved during the Kenwright and Moyes period.
I know some Man U fans who recognised Moyes as being a good manager and believe the reason it didn't work out at Utd was not Moyes fault. You can give the manager all the funds he asks for to buy players but at the same time you have to know that manager is a good one in ALL aspects of the job. At the moment that is not convincing enough to have more funds irrespective whether the money is there or not.
It was Moyes who brought the likes of Coleman and Stones etc to the club, I wait to see if the present one can achieve the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2015 19:12:55
Positive news on the injury front (excluding Baines of course) my team for Saturday would be
Howard
Coleman stones jags Oviedo
McCarthy
Mirallas Barkley del boy
Kone lukaku

No chance RM would play 2 strikers from the off though, shame would love to see that team, but if he insists on playing the normal formation I would like to see besic start instead of Barry and the 3 behind lukaku should be Mirallas Barkley and del!
Hey ed any more news on the signing that was meant to be done this week? Or was it the Barnsley lad?
Thank you

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i have tried to contact him but without success smeg, to be fair to him he never named who it would be..but i was expecting bigger mate..

13 Aug 2015 19:51:24
By look at if it was young lad

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2015 19:53:15
I think Barkley needs to be deeper, I really see his future in cm he needs to be running from deep far to often he has his back to goal when receiving the ball in position he played most of the time he is not a David silva type player Barkley is of the same mould as Steven gerrard but has better feet but he's powerful, lots of energy there is only one difference Gerrard imposed himself more and I think Barkley is quite shy lad and needs to take the game on his shoulders and impose him self more, he has it in his locker if played and guided in the right way this kid can be world class if you look at players like Gerard Toure Vierra Keane they have been some of the best cm in the prem and they all had one thing in common they could go out and boss a game, they had a presence on the field, Barkley has all this in him, I just hope he goes into become the player I think he can, hopefully with us but if he moves on later English football need a player of his ability

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Aug 2015 20:55:13
I think we all was expecting someone bigger than a player for the u21's, not knocking the lad sounds like he is definatley a good one for the future but doesn't help us now!
I do have a feeling that we will get 3 more and at least 1 of them will excite us!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i hope your right smeg..

13 Aug 2015 23:00:00
Sorry but it will be Clevs for Kone.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2015 23:40:01
agree trueblue think we will see a lot more of barkley in that position this season think that maybe our biggest problem at the moment is playing mccarthy, barry together tbh I think we might have the same problem with besic mccarthy when playing lesser teams there should be no need for two defensive mids

Hmmm - a rumour on Twitter. Social media tends to be even less reliable than the press. But this is a rumour site, so no harm in repeating it - I can only wish that for once just one of these rumoured incoming transfers of a decent player does actually come to fruition :-) On the "fruit" theme, I also hope tha we keep blowing raspberries at those rent-a-quote meddlers trying to sell our players AND that we successfully bring in a few choice plums!

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2015 20:02:05
Let's be fair our we really that much of a joke that other fans could go to that much hassle just to wind us up, I hope Martinez saw it and gives us a gem of a signing or was the players Barry was on about exciting us fans the young kid from Barnsley, no disrespect to this young lad I hope he developed well but I'm not expecting to see him for 12 months min, stones was playing for Barnsley but it's taking him 2 years for us to see him as a regular now, these are not signings that will excite us, I am all for looking at the future of the club but this is a deal that could of been done within last 2 months not when there is 19 days to go and we are in badly need of signings,

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2015 12:39:27
Just read that the power 8 company we signed a partnership with is apparently a fraud and that it is run from an office in Spain it's been investigated for selling shares in parts of the world but no one is contactable from the gaming company it also says Everton have since deleted it from the official site while investigation goes on. If this is proven true then someone at Everton has to be held accountable the article is on newsnow.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - just what we need stef..more bad news..

13 Aug 2015 14:08:58
I was just reading about this and it actually sounds pretty bad. Team was endorsing it and we accepted dirty sponsorship money which was scammed from investors. This definitely warrants a public explanation from the board.
