Heard we are in for asamoah possibly as a target for the winter. Quality player and could be a good replacement for pienaar but a cb like nastasic should be the priority.

do you honestly believe a centre back like nestatic is good enough to shore up our leeky defense. I think Jags will come good in the 2nd half of the season and will further cement his place along side stones. If we are looking already for his replacement it would need to be a centre back who holds qualities such as hard tackling, good positional sense, pace, power, leadership and also the ability to move the ball out from the defense as stones does. The obvious comparison to this type of player in the prem is currently gary cahill, but past defenders such as desailly is the mould of player we need to be looking for, I certainly do not think nestatic cuts the mustard and is too slow (although his positioning is very good).
