Any updates on the potential transfer of Van Dijk form Southampton rumours seem to be gathering pace an sky bet have brought us in from 22/ 1 to 4/ 1. Cheers Ed

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - they dont want to sell tony and have turned down £60m from chelsea so forget it mate..

12 Jan 2017 22:16:16
We have money tonyandoefc but Moshri is a business man, he doesn't get where he is by being stupid with his money. As has been said they turned down 60 mill already. Besides which the bloke isn't worth half of what we got for Stones.

Agree1 Disagree4

13 Jan 2017 01:17:22
He's a lot better than stones

12 Jan 2017 22:42:08
. and he wouldn't get a work permit anyway as he's not played enough games for Algeria.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is not how it works now Brian.}

13 Jan 2017 00:03:39
Hi Ed. My understanding is that depending on the rank of the country he represents he has to have played a certain precentage of games over the last two years. He needs 75% and has 68%. Unless I've got it all wrong?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No Brian, it no longer works like that. The player needs a minimum of four points and summary goes something like this:
- The value of the transfer fee (alone) that is to be paid is between the top 75% and 100% of all transfers to Premier League clubs in the previous 2 windows - 3 points
- The value of the transfer fee being paid for the player is between 50% and 75% of all transfers to Premier League clubs in the previous 2 windows - 2 points
- The basic wage (excluding bonuses) being paid to the player by the new club is in the top 25% of the top 30 earners at the club - 3 points
- The basic wage (excluding bonuses) being paid to the player by the new club is between 50% and 75% of all the top 30 earners at the club - 2 points
- Subjectively, the player’s current club is in a recognised "top" league and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes - 1 point
- The player’s existing club has played in the group stages or onwards of the Champions League, Europa League or the Copa Libertadores within the last 12 months and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes - 1 point
}

13 Jan 2017 09:30:43
Thanks ed but jeez that's the government's long winded way of saying if ya pay a fortune for him and huge wages, he's getting a work permit.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes, pretty much.}

13 Jan 2017 13:51:19
The Algerian lad seems to have jewel citizenship. Spent a lot of time as a youth playing for France. Its pretty common I'm told. But I had no idea of the changes to work permit.

Rumors of interest in Ludogorets winger cafe. Also say Leicester and west ham interested. Any idea ed?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. Ludogorets had previously said that Leicester and Aston Vill had enquired after Jonathan Cafu but Leicester have held initial talks now and have made an enquiry about whether he would likely be eligible for a work permit.}

12 Jan 2017 11:29:25
Monaco striker Valere Germain heavy linked to join Everton

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Should read Southampton and not Everton.}

12 Jan 2017 22:43:41
Very good player. Would fit a two up front attack really well.

If you want some free money, get on betvictor. Jose fonte to sign for us this window 14/ 1 👀

12 Jan 2017 22:22:08
How old is he, Williams was just about worth it as a quick fix but Fontes cost will be to much as a quick fix.

Hi Ed I see Morgan has got the No 2 Shirt, no doubt some people won't like that cheers mate, GuernseyBlue

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - i dont see a problem with it myself GB, its just a number mate..

12 Jan 2017 18:04:55
No worries for me either Ed cheers mate, GuernseyBlue

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jan 2017 18:08:48
I think it's nice putting him in the first 11 number-wise. I know it means nothing but if I had my way our best 11 should wear 1-11, and he is certainly in that bracket

Agree1 Disagree1

12 Jan 2017 18:14:53

Schneiderlin just confirmed by club website

{Ed025's Note - it just keeps getting better ace..

12 Jan 2017 17:19:05
Really pleased with this signing Ed. He was quality at St Mary's under Koeman so may be a great player for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sounds good to me as well ace..

12 Jan 2017 17:21:22
Degsy. You happy with this one mate? Your all for some quality in midfield like many of the other posters

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he wants ozzie back mate...only teasing degs.. :)

12 Jan 2017 17:32:29
Absolutely delighted. 3 in already. Ed025 you may book a holiday. There'll be no moaners on here for a while :-)

On second thoughts Ed025 come Saturday some will probably start demanding more signings. Best first 12 days of window I've ever experienced!

I call for a song for Walsh to be made up with his signings! Provided they deliver, which I'm confident they will.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no moaners for a while NBTB?...dont put any money on that one mate .. :)

12 Jan 2017 17:33:40
Ibe seen the vid tadpole and it is him in a efc shirt. But if he's signed how can he play against dortmund.

12 Jan 2017 20:52:57
It's last tears training top. definitely not him!

Derby County are interested in signing Everton defender Brendan Galloway who is currently on loan at West Brom

Believable1 Unbelievable1

From what I saw it's to loan him as he isn't getting game time at West Brom

Monaco striker Valere Germain heavy linked to join Everton

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - It should be to Southampton as they have approached Monaco.}

12 Jan 2017 07:23:39
Cleverley deal agreed with Watford for loan deal till end of season he is having a medical ahead of move

12 Jan 2017 08:31:17
Thats niasse and cleverly out then really hope we don't lose del boy he needs a good run out in the team

Agree2 Disagree2

12 Jan 2017 10:02:35
I'm with you on that Del boy has the quality going forward and can be unplayable at times, unfortunately his work rate and defensive quality needs improvement. If he can't get a decent amount of playing time with us then maybe a loan move to a club that would play him week in week out would benefit both him and EFC. Definitely would not want to sell him (unless for stupid money) as he has great potential.

Agree0 Disagree2

12 Jan 2017 10:08:07
Blimey, wonder who's next for the whipping boy tag if those two go, oh hang on Barkley no doubt.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 10:22:08
When not try him as a 10 then your not worried as much bout him tracking back give him the freedom to go where he wants could be a good position for him what's to lose Barkley isn't doing a great job there drop him back deeper might be better with more time on the ball

Agree1 Disagree1

12 Jan 2017 12:00:30
I cannot understand people's opinion about del boy. He is 22 same age as Ross Barkley yet know where near the same class and potential. Yet fans get on Ross's back all the time but allow Del boys woeful performances to go uncriticised.
I alwayys though Del boy was over-rated and a por aceuisition get rid. by the way i think Ross will blossom with the new additions to the team
Wellzee

Agree4 Disagree3

12 Jan 2017 13:16:28
If Everton had a forward who attacked the front post at crosses, Ged would be credited with 5 or 6 assists per game. Someone like Hernandez would be ideal

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 17:32:27
Del boy needs to up his workrate defensively then he'll stake a claim for a starting spot. Welzee with you on this, his work rate, interception and ball winning stats are decent as well, in Feb Gana comes back and were going to be laughing in the midfield. The service to ross is going to be immense.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats if ross gets a game of course matt..

12 Jan 2017 17:34:15
Someone is saying Belfodil is done at the top of the page. And truth ed0025?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im hearing its close matt but no cigar just yet mate..

12 Jan 2017 18:25:29
Cheers Ed. Great stuff mate 🖒

11 Jan 2017 18:01:08
Hi ed001 have you heard of us making a move or enquiries for berahino. Or is this belofidl fella an alternative thanks in aaabance.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - Berahino is more of a last resort mate. Belfodil is the one Koeman likes. By the way, I saw someone further down the page questioning Walsh, perhaps they should check out more of his work. He is, imo, the best signing of the summer, in the Prem.}

12 Jan 2017 07:22:54
Think the vast majority of us agree with you ed. Ill trust his judgment and support whoever he recommends

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - glad to hear that, he knows what he is doing. He won't get every signing right, but he will improve recruitment massively.}

12 Jan 2017 07:59:46
Do you rate Belfodil, Ed? Hadnt even heard of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he was a standout in the UAE Gulf League, but the standard is not the highest. Looks to be maturing into a very good footballer, but I have not seen enough of him in Europe to see how he gets on against a better level of player though.}

12 Jan 2017 08:48:11
Ed001 Walsh was the best signing of last summer? How about the best signing in the last 10 years! He will make things happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 08:48:11
Ed001 Walsh was the best signing of last summer? How about the best signing in the last 10 years! He will make things happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - could well be for Everton. I was talking about for the entire Prem though. Over the last ten years I think Claudio Ranieri for Leicester, along with Walsh joining them, would be above him joining yourselves. For now at least. In five year's time, he could well prove me wrong by finding you the signings to win a league, but I don't think we will see that happen, at least not within that timeframe. Mind, I never thought I would ever see Leicester win the Prem!}

12 Jan 2017 09:28:19
Could be a steal for the quoted price then?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - What "quoted" [rice would that be?}

12 Jan 2017 09:40:19
£10.4 million, Phil McNulty, bbc reporter.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The price is in euros and not GBP and the third-party who is involved will take a percentage on top - perhaps McNulty should share information in the correct currency?}

12 Jan 2017 10:31:02
I read that it's £4 million and the player is also taking a percentage to keep the real total private. Probably just rubbish tho. Tbf, his price doesn't bother me, it's not my money they are spending

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Twitter I suppose. You cannot keep the real total quiet - every transfer is recorded on the TMS.}

12 Jan 2017 11:03:52
Article on the NewsNow site. Stay well clear of Twitter. Don't even have an account.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You should stay clear of that then as well.}

12 Jan 2017 11:27:00
Maybe so ed. I'm just looking forward to seeing who we have signed by end of January.
