Gibson deal is done!
Supposed 500k rising to 2 mil fee agreeed to be announced tomorrow!
JM

Believable7 Unbelievable2

How do you know mate?

Agree1 Disagree3

This true Ed? {Ed001's Note - unless something goes wrong with his medical, it seems so. Odd when United were not going to let any midfielders go as Pogba and Morrison are almost certainly out the door. Suggests to me they are bringing someone in.}

Agree0 Disagree3

On sky sports mate done deal

Agree0 Disagree2

One thing about Gibson is that he looks forward, none of this side ways passing and slowing play down, Moyes always pulls one out of the bag when given the oppertunity, its a jigsaw a midfield putting the right pieces together for something that works.

Agree9 Disagree1

Listen, I know Darron Gibson didnt have the most succesful time at United and was poor, but his gametime was so inconsistent that surely would affect hsi confidence. But if he is signing for Everton, get behind the player, support him (seems he didnt get a lot of support at United), trust Moyesies decision (he has got them right in the past especially for minimal prices) and who knows he could turn out to be another bargain buy.

I mean Steven Pienaar is a perfect example, he was given inconsistent gametime at Borussia Dortmund and subsequently struggled, but then Moyes picked him up, gave him some gametime, got some confidence and was one of our best players.

Anyway, what i am sure is dont slate the lad before he has even played for Everton, get behind him, hopefully give him some gameitme and confidence and as I said he could prove to be another shrewd purchase.

Oh and another thing, people crying we dont need another midfielder is wrong. Am sick of seeing Neville or Heitinga in the midfield. And seriously, we arent going to buy the striker we need for 1mil

Agree14 Disagree0

I don't know who this 'JM' is but its not me, so is it possible to request for him to have a name change to clear all confusion?

JM {Ed025's Note - put a name in the e mail field jm...that will sort it

Is there any word that you are keen on Rangers striker Nickica Jelavic? Word up here is he is Everton bound ... {Ed025's Note - personally i want him...he is on our radar..but money will be the issue..

Believable6 Unbelievable2

I have seen him play a few times and i really dont like him i think he looks half decent playing in the scottish league ed. the money that rangers will want for him id rather spend on someone like rhodes of huddersfield {Ed025's Note - when i have seen him he looked good, but jordan rhodes does look the business..

wikipedia says Darren Gibson currently plays for Everton.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

If moyes spends a single penny on this goon I really will f#####g scream {Ed025's Note - start screaming then mate..

Agree0 Disagree10

It doesnt say he currently plays for everton! must be a redsh**e

Agree0 Disagree3

It was on. It had us on instead of manutd

Agree0 Disagree3

Just seen it, it says he plays for the blues.....it is odd though... as it doesn't list Utd in his former clubs...strange. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree1 Disagree1

It does say he plays for everton on wiki. Sya he signed for everton in Jan 2012 for 1 million, rising to 2.5

Agree0 Disagree0

I really dont understand why people r moaning about signing gibson he is a good player he trains everyday with quality midfeilders he can pass and is not scared to have a shot . i would rather see him centre mid than neville or heitinga

Agree5 Disagree0

Any truth in el sharwaay, cantiago and gedo ed or is it just paper b****cks {Ed025's Note - i think the latter..

Howard
Hibbert Duffy Heitinga Baines
Donovan McFadden Gibson Drenthe
Saha Anichebe

Watch out Villa....

Believable2 Unbelievable14

What happened to Fellaini?

Agree6 Disagree0

Faddy in central midfield? I don't hate the lad in the same way as alot of people on here but I just can't see it, not unless he plays "in the hole". {Ed025's Note - in the hole is a good shout....the black one..in calcutta!!

Agree0 Disagree3

I was being sarcastic and by putting McFadden in rather than Fellaini, that's making the team crapper

hey blues! just found this site! im a tamworth fan and when i came to goodison the other week i saw nicky is car driving into goodison park {Ed025's Note - nicky who?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Maynard mate, I saw him too, but I assumed he is just coming to watch a game, don't read nothing into it

Maynard was playing for Bristol City v Crawley. Think you were seeing things

Arsenal and Everton are amongst the clubs chasing VVV Venlo winger Ahmed Musa , according to the Metro .

The agent of the 19-year-old, Tony Harris , has confirmed that a number of European clubs are taking a keen look at the Nigerian international – including CSKA Moscow.

“It’s true CSKA Moscow are among a large number of other European clubs who have shown interest in Musa.

“There is still ample time, however, which we will use to evaluate our options.”

If Arsenal or Everton can part with £12m it is believed they could very well get their man.

if we have no money were do these people get these storys 12 million it must be 12 million onions

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Mmmm 50p an onion .... No still to much!

He said today on Premier league world on skysports that he hopes to sign for Everton in the summer

Gibson having medical deal to be completed tomorrow!

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I tell you something..... I am sick of going to all the home and away matches and hearing "evertonians" saying.... hes s**t and f**k off you.... and hes s**t... come on lads get a grip.... how is that going to help? lets be honest the players care very little about the club, we know that, and no one will ever care more than the fans.... but what can we expect with the way we are towards them... our support at home is probably the worst in the league (with wigan) i went to spurs away yesterday 9 hours trip on the coach from cornwall and back. And the home support for spurs was brilliant.... all i am saying is... maybe we should all start to look in the mirror a little? and each other, if we expect that to be passed on to players! COYB

Agree7 Disagree1

Slow, balding, injury prone, arrogant, likes a pint or two he's a blue through and through!

Agree3 Disagree1

I agree! I am a STH and some of the crap I listen to week in week out! Last week I heard one bloke say sub about 6 players, followed by I hope someone breaks his leg, I wish he got lost etc etc.

This is our team let's get behind them!

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jan 2012 18:33:51
Ive watched Everton every match this season and can say that Gibson would be an alright signing.. there is NO creativity from the midfield so its not the strikers fault. & ... I'm wondering why we havnt put a cheeky bid in for Carlton Cole. I know there not the names we dream of but we have to work with in are limits, come on kenright (tight arse) {Ed025's Note - were you being serious ..carlton cole??

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Carlton cole!! are you being serious??

Agree3 Disagree3

Gibson having medical at everton now it's a start he's a squad player an got ppl saying he's s**te have u seen thebshot on him just what we need ed will prob say he's not having medical but according 2 Ssn he is and deal shud b done by 2 morrow I wish the lad luck cos I will give any1 a chance who puts on a everton shirt Darren Gibson welcome 2 efc

Agree7 Disagree1

Good friend of mine who supports United reckons Gibson has definite potential and if had been given a decent run - may well have been very useful.
He has a great shot on him and has a reasonable amount of vision unlike our predictable and limited midfielders at the moment. Just praying this speeds up the end of Cahill. Sorry Timmy - you have been great for us but DM just hasn't got the bottle to do the right thing.

Agree1 Disagree1

Gibson is a decent player when you have to work within the financial restraints that we do....and to be honest I'm that fed lately, that Douglas Barder would be a good signing. Why do we need Carlton Cole when we already have dead eyed Vic. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed025's Note - lets see?.. carlton or vic..hmmm....douglas bader for me..wavo

Agree0 Disagree0

I am pleased with the signing of Gibson. He is a good player and at the prices being bandied about... a bargain. We are in a win win situation, if he’s rubbish, he didn’t cost much, if he’s good, then we have a bargain and will all be praising Moyes. Let’s give the lad a chance

The Shadow

Agree4 Disagree0

I can remember being on holiday when we signed Neville, I was in a bad mood for the remainder of that holiday! He proved me wrong (no Neville is sh*t remarks please) Let's get behind Gibson if thats who we have signed! COYB!

The agent of Egyptian striker Mohamed 'Gedo' Nagy claims Everton (along with six other Premier League clubs) have expressed an interest in his client.
Gedo, 27, is currently on the books of Al-Ahly in his homeland, but he is being strongly linked with a move to Europe and Menzo Messaoudi, director of Gedo's UK representatives Premier Pro, claims he has been in contact with West Brom, Swansea, Wigan, Everton, Blackburn, Norwich and Wolves.

"Gedo is a fantastic lad. Honest, hardworking and is a top professional," he told Sky Sports.

"His goalscoring record speaks for itself and his experience and sheer ability will benefit the right club.

"We are in talks with a few clubs at the moment, and hopefully we can bring an exciting talent to the Premier League.

"I am confident he will have a bigger impact than Amr Zaki did during his time at Wigan."

Gedo boasts an impressive record of 11 goals in 18 international outings and was also the top scorer at the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

Believable9 Unbelievable1

We're really linked with the big boys there aren't we! all the big boys are after him, must be pure class! not! sad times i'm afraid. i fear this is the end of our club as we will never be able to challenge for the top players ever again and the longer this goes on the further behimd we will fall.

Hope these rumours about Stephan El Shaarawy are true, i've watched him a bit and he's a fantastic young player. He is also amazing on Fifa 12..

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Dont get your hopes up.Louis Saha is amazing on fifa 12

Agree7 Disagree3

El shaarawy was fantastic on loan at serie B last season. If the rumours are true then he would be a great signing as he possesses pace and good dribbling skills. Then him and drenthe could go to the wings with donovan upfront and with coleman at right back

Agree6 Disagree1

12 Jan 2012 17:48:36
Well everton fans it's just been made official everton will not be bought by some billionaire prince because if we were we would be in talks with a misfit from united

Believable8 Unbelievable7

The lad hasn't even pulled on a shirt yet and our so called support are on his back already!
Everton's problems are not Gibson's fault give him a chance!

Agree13 Disagree4

Well said mate, i hope he signs and proves u all rong, give him a chance will yaz

Agree11 Disagree0

I've got nothing against the lad but he's not what we need. when we're skint already why waste what we've got? would rather keep the money till the summer and hopefully add to it than chuck it on another utd reject

Agree2 Disagree4

Do you think Tim Howard and Phil Neville have been wastes of money? Even Saha was worth the deal we got him on.

Agree6 Disagree1

I never meant anything against Gibson he will be a great addition what I meant was if we were due to be taken over moyse would wait for the millions to buy bigger players for 20 million

Agree3 Disagree0

U melon tim howard has won us number of games u need ur head testin u koptie loon

Agree8 Disagree1

Most of moyes signings have turned out to be good...always ended up worth more than he paid for them {Ed025's Note - except bily..

12 Jan 2012 15:29:09
cant believe my eyes, sky sports saying were actually in talks to sign a player NOT ON LOAN!!! even tho its only darron gibson, i feel he can do a better job at cm than jonny or neville {Ed025's Note - well he cant do any worse...can he?

Believable20 Unbelievable2

I read on the BBC website that Gibson was up for the move to Goodison...probably so he's still close enough to go for piss ups with Rooney.

Agree7 Disagree2

Between 500k and 1M i think he would be a decent buy, he can do a better job CM than johnny or nev and the lad has got a decent shot on him and isnt afraid to have a dig! still need creative mid and a striker though!
MickeyBlue

Agree7 Disagree1

Let's hope we can get the deal tied I no he's not a high profile player but he could give the team a boost coyb.

Gibson from man utd is going to happen but i fear a deal for barkley will be struck up and he will leave for them within 2years. Other targets are now out the window with moyes confirming the arteta money isn't going to be available, like it ever was! One target tho until the end of the season is Arne Fedriech (mind the spelling) he was released last season after getting a global ban from fifa, and Moyes has targeted him as cover until the end of the season. Gibson btw would cost 500 k, which Moyes will be allowed, but as i stated not enough for his other targets, Gibson has been a target for two years. Kenwright out!.

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Arne Friedrich was not banned for 12 months, you play too much FM12.

He was released after long term injuries (rumored to be stress.)

He is a free agent and is free to join another club from this month.

In your Football Manager game they have the ban in place to prevent him from signing for a club until Jan 2012 to keep the game realistic. ;)

Anyway, a 32 year old fullback that is injury prone isn't needed.

Agree6 Disagree1

£500k for Gibson? Every major news outlet is saying £2million.

Agree6 Disagree0

£500k is true. Journalists now saying is even less than £1.5m so probably right.

Someone posted about Queresma on loan the other day i did not believe it i now take it back.. Medical has been arranged for Tuesday or Wednesday its a loan with a buy option.

Believable6 Unbelievable8

What a load of rubbish, we couln't even pay 40 percent of his wages. Plus he was crap at chelsea.

Agree5 Disagree2

Would be a great signing but im not sure i believe it, whats you're source?
MickeyBlue

Agree3 Disagree2

Definately not, can't afford his wages and he is not a Moyes player, Not gunna bang in the goals but can come up with something special and would cause full backs all sorts of problems with his trickery. JM

Agree2 Disagree0

What is manny fernandes doing we should try and get him in on loan. what do u other blues and ed think

Agree6 Disagree2

Move on people, Fernandes was mediocre when he was here 3 years ago. Waiting for the responses from all the experts who have watched every game since he left.

Agree2 Disagree3

Fernandes gets his game now so doubt he would come back here, and he is now rated at 7-8 million. We could off had him for 3 million 3 years ago but choose not to, typical everton !!

Agree5 Disagree1

John Carew is on his way on a loan to buy deal.

Believable3 Unbelievable15

Lol...someone has changed his Wiki page to Everton as current club...lol {Ed025's Note - you csn bet your life that im not guilty..

Agree2 Disagree6

As if, we already have tim cahill, saha, anichibe who throw themselves about bet never score goals so why add another

Agree5 Disagree2

If this is true we are on a slippery road. It shows just how far we have sunk as a club and it is down to one man - Kenwright.

Agree5 Disagree1

Scored 4 in 12 at west ham? Yeah that will improve us

Agree5 Disagree3

Its been changed back.....lol

Ebanks Blake apparently spotted at Finch Farm according to the Yahoo transfer ticker

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Oh god i hope not

Agree9 Disagree2

Ready 4 the championship

Agree6 Disagree3

Well he was the man to buy in football manager 2007 and we know that football manager is always right don't we. It was Djibril Cisse in 2005.

moyse has also siad after darron gibson signs he is the looking for a striker and a center half

Believable8 Unbelievable9

At least Gibson will do something are other midfielders dont do......shoot!

Agree16 Disagree5

Can anyone tell me why bk wont sell up because the way were goin if it is true that he wants 120 mil he wont get half ov that if were a championship side coz i watched the game last nite ok spurs r a good team but 90 mins an not a shot on target terrible everto sort it out now

Agree6 Disagree3

With things being so very bad at the moment, surely the only sensible thing to do is to sell Jack Rodwell and rebuild some sort of competitive squad... We know how shrewd DM can be in the transfer market and have lifted some serious wages in the summer with Arteta and Yak leaving

Agree11 Disagree4

Ur making it sound as if teams r queing up to sign rodwell . what makes u think anybody wants him he hasnt progressed over the last 2 years and over the last year he has mostly been injured . if anybody wanted him they would of bid already .

Agree6 Disagree5

Rodwell's not progressed? He's an 21 year old England international, he's been highly praised by other prem managers and would probably fit in a good passing team like Arsenal or Man Utd very easily! He's with at least 15 million, which could give us the chance to buy 2/4 players

Agree5 Disagree3

You're forgetting if we sold Rodders, how much would Moyes get??
My guess is 90% of it would go to the banks!

King Chong

Agree5 Disagree5

Do you people NOT understand?
The board are looking to reduce the debt so the club accounts look more attractive for when they have their faces in the cash trough!
ALL MONIES GENERATED GOES TO THE BANK!

Agree3 Disagree2

We have a midfielder that shoots already. His names Ross Barkley!. When he's back Moyes should play him, not spend the little money we have on Gibson. {Ed025's Note - im with you on that one mate..

Agree5 Disagree2

12 Jan 2012 02:14:20
Sometime this week or next we will sign Darren Gibson from Man United for 1million.

Believable10 Unbelievable7

What a waste of money we havent got signing Darren Gibson would be!
We need to buy a STRIKER with whatever we have and now with Distin hobbling off we need a CB on loan.

Agree13 Disagree5

Its in todays mirror 2.5 mil had talks

Agree3 Disagree4

The Mail says £1m. Thats more like it! {Ed025's Note - still too much..

Agree7 Disagree5

Gibson will be a good addition to the team. A busy midfielder who is not afraid to have a pop at goal, somehting we are seriously lacking!

Agree5 Disagree7

We definitely need a busier midfield - our present one is awful - just static slow players - I'd rather have Gibson (not seen much of him but if he's been in the Manutd team he must be half decent) than sub sub top 'Fellaini the Slow Jogger'

Hello ed I've heard a few different people sayin were gonna sign darren Gibson any truth an Wat do u reckon on him if he comes I personally think he's a squad player but with injuries an stuff I'd take him an maybe it could give the team a boost . Huyton blue {Ed001's Note - United are not looking to sell any of their midfield right now, even one as poor as Gibson, and believe me he really is poor. I would say it would be a waste of wages to get him in, he offers little, certainly wouldn't improve the team.}

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Right now Gibson would be a good signing for us. You can all say he's a bad player but he must be better than what we got. He has been at man utd for a very long time and he will bring experience of a winning side. I think he will thrive in the everton side and show the class that ferguson know he has. {Ed025's Note - and why do you think fergie wants rid of him?...he is very poor..

Agree8 Disagree5

I don't agree with u ed on that one fergie must think gibbson had something like the other guy said u don't stay at untd for as long as him if ur crap I think he could be a really good signing if he can keep fit.........big s {Ed025's Note - its just my opinion big s....how many times has he played for them?...not many, even fergie makes mistakes...look at bebe..

Agree4 Disagree3

Saying Gibson is poor is crap, he plays for united they do not have crap players, i think he will fit in well to the team and hopefully fulfill his potential with a more focused approach within the Everton team {Ed025's Note - its about opinions..in my opinion they do have some poor players...de gea...evans..the twins..GIBSON..bebe..you may be happy to accept his cast offs....im not!

Agree2 Disagree6

If we can get him fot £1m then its a good deal - not sure where the cash is coming from tho. Not the best but what choice do we have and its sounds more of a goer than some of the other 'links'.

Agree3 Disagree2

He isn`t that bad. Moyes may get something a little bit more out of him. Remember Piennar, Arteta, Distin, Coleman and Heitaga were hardly stars at their previous clubs. Anyone on this site who suggests they got even remotely excited when each of them first arrived is lying. Given our current state he may be all we get. (and some near retirement CB on loan)

Agree2 Disagree5

He is awful! One my my mates is a Utd season ticket holder and he says players like him are the reason United are not doing tht well!

Agree4 Disagree4

To the one saying "u don't stay at untd for as long as him if ur crap " maybe brown rings a bell

Agree3 Disagree3

Is Gibson to replace Rodwell ? {Ed025's Note - hopefully bily!

Agree0 Disagree5

Also, surely if Sir Alex rated him, he would have played him before bringing Scholes out of retirement!

Other clubs must be crapping themselves Mcfadden and Gibson in our midfield!

Agree3 Disagree2

Gibson has caused ferguson a few problems whilst he's been there. Like any decent irishman should. Thats why he's on his way out

Agree1 Disagree2

Regarding United's "cast-offs" - don't forget Louis Saha and Phil Neville.

Saha's not been doing that well this season, but he's helped Everton's striker problems over the last few years. And nothing needs to be said about Phil...

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't think Gibson will be a bad addition to our squad, I think he's worth it mainly because, unlike the rest of our team, he isn't afraid to have a shot.

Agree1 Disagree0

I dont get why saha has been good the last couple of seaasons but never stayed fit but hes been poor this year and he fit to play every week dont get me wrong i dont want him injured (or do i)
