One thing about Gibson is that he looks forward, none of this side ways passing and slowing play down, Moyes always pulls one out of the bag when given the oppertunity, its a jigsaw a midfield putting the right pieces together for something that works.

Listen, I know Darron Gibson didnt have the most succesful time at United and was poor, but his gametime was so inconsistent that surely would affect hsi confidence. But if he is signing for Everton, get behind the player, support him (seems he didnt get a lot of support at United), trust Moyesies decision (he has got them right in the past especially for minimal prices) and who knows he could turn out to be another bargain buy.

I mean Steven Pienaar is a perfect example, he was given inconsistent gametime at Borussia Dortmund and subsequently struggled, but then Moyes picked him up, gave him some gametime, got some confidence and was one of our best players.

Anyway, what i am sure is dont slate the lad before he has even played for Everton, get behind him, hopefully give him some gameitme and confidence and as I said he could prove to be another shrewd purchase.

Oh and another thing, people crying we dont need another midfielder is wrong. Am sick of seeing Neville or Heitinga in the midfield. And seriously, we arent going to buy the striker we need for 1mil

I don't know who this 'JM' is but its not me, so is it possible to request for him to have a name change to clear all confusion?

wikipedia says Darren Gibson currently plays for Everton.

Just seen it, it says he plays for the blues.....it is odd though... as it doesn't list Utd in his former clubs...strange. (Wavertree Blue)

It does say he plays for everton on wiki. Sya he signed for everton in Jan 2012 for 1 million, rising to 2.5

I really dont understand why people r moaning about signing gibson he is a good player he trains everyday with quality midfeilders he can pass and is not scared to have a shot . i would rather see him centre mid than neville or heitinga

Arsenal and Everton are amongst the clubs chasing VVV Venlo winger Ahmed Musa , according to the Metro .

The agent of the 19-year-old, Tony Harris , has confirmed that a number of European clubs are taking a keen look at the Nigerian international – including CSKA Moscow.

“It’s true CSKA Moscow are among a large number of other European clubs who have shown interest in Musa.

“There is still ample time, however, which we will use to evaluate our options.”

If Arsenal or Everton can part with £12m it is believed they could very well get their man.

I tell you something..... I am sick of going to all the home and away matches and hearing "evertonians" saying.... hes s**t and f**k off you.... and hes s**t... come on lads get a grip.... how is that going to help? lets be honest the players care very little about the club, we know that, and no one will ever care more than the fans.... but what can we expect with the way we are towards them... our support at home is probably the worst in the league (with wigan) i went to spurs away yesterday 9 hours trip on the coach from cornwall and back. And the home support for spurs was brilliant.... all i am saying is... maybe we should all start to look in the mirror a little? and each other, if we expect that to be passed on to players! COYB

I agree! I am a STH and some of the crap I listen to week in week out! Last week I heard one bloke say sub about 6 players, followed by I hope someone breaks his leg, I wish he got lost etc etc.

The agent of Egyptian striker Mohamed 'Gedo' Nagy claims Everton (along with six other Premier League clubs) have expressed an interest in his client.
Gedo, 27, is currently on the books of Al-Ahly in his homeland, but he is being strongly linked with a move to Europe and Menzo Messaoudi, director of Gedo's UK representatives Premier Pro, claims he has been in contact with West Brom, Swansea, Wigan, Everton, Blackburn, Norwich and Wolves.

"Gedo is a fantastic lad. Honest, hardworking and is a top professional," he told Sky Sports.

Well everton fans it's just been made official everton will not be bought by some billionaire prince because if we were we would be in talks with a misfit from united

Gibson from man utd is going to happen but i fear a deal for barkley will be struck up and he will leave for them within 2years. Other targets are now out the window with moyes confirming the arteta money isn't going to be available, like it ever was! One target tho until the end of the season is Arne Fedriech (mind the spelling) he was released last season after getting a global ban from fifa, and Moyes has targeted him as cover until the end of the season. Gibson btw would cost 500 k, which Moyes will be allowed, but as i stated not enough for his other targets, Gibson has been a target for two years. Kenwright out!.

Arne Friedrich was not banned for 12 months, you play too much FM12.

He is a free agent and is free to join another club from this month.

In your Football Manager game they have the ban in place to prevent him from signing for a club until Jan 2012 to keep the game realistic. ;)

£500k is true. Journalists now saying is even less than £1.5m so probably right.

With things being so very bad at the moment, surely the only sensible thing to do is to sell Jack Rodwell and rebuild some sort of competitive squad... We know how shrewd DM can be in the transfer market and have lifted some serious wages in the summer with Arteta and Yak leaving

Ur making it sound as if teams r queing up to sign rodwell . what makes u think anybody wants him he hasnt progressed over the last 2 years and over the last year he has mostly been injured . if anybody wanted him they would of bid already .

Rodwell's not progressed? He's an 21 year old England international, he's been highly praised by other prem managers and would probably fit in a good passing team like Arsenal or Man Utd very easily! He's with at least 15 million, which could give us the chance to buy 2/4 players

Hello ed I've heard a few different people sayin were gonna sign darren Gibson any truth an Wat do u reckon on him if he comes I personally think he's a squad player but with injuries an stuff I'd take him an maybe it could give the team a boost . Huyton blue {Ed001's Note - United are not looking to sell any of their midfield right now, even one as poor as Gibson, and believe me he really is poor. I would say it would be a waste of wages to get him in, he offers little, certainly wouldn't improve the team.}

Right now Gibson would be a good signing for us. You can all say he's a bad player but he must be better than what we got. He has been at man utd for a very long time and he will bring experience of a winning side. He isn`t that bad. Moyes may get something a little bit more out of him. Remember Piennar, Arteta, Distin, Coleman and Heitaga were hardly stars at their previous clubs. Anyone on this site who suggests they got even remotely excited when each of them first arrived is lying. Given our current state he may be all we get. (and some near retirement CB on loan)

Gibson has caused ferguson a few problems whilst he's been there. Like any decent irishman should. Thats why he's on his way out

Regarding United's "cast-offs" - don't forget Louis Saha and Phil Neville.

Saha's not been doing that well this season, but he's helped Everton's striker problems over the last few years. And nothing needs to be said about Phil...

I don't think Gibson will be a bad addition to our squad, I think he's worth it mainly because, unlike the rest of our team, he isn't afraid to have a shot.

I dont get why saha has been good the last couple of seaasons but never stayed fit but hes been poor this year and he fit to play every week dont get me wrong i dont want him injured (or do i)
