I personally would take roque santa cruz on a free to beef up the squad

Believable6 Unbelievable28

Are you serious?

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather take rocky balboa myself than him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I fear he would turn out like Beckford - although we did get a fee when he moved on - or turn out, based on performances so far, like Naismith. I'd love it to work out, but I think Roque Santa Cruz flattered to deceive at the top club level - besides he's over 30 now and not a prolific goal scorer at the top club level.

I would like to see Mbia (QPR) at Everton. When ever I have watched QPR he has looked like a real power house with a good touch. This is his first season in the prem, and I think that he could really kick on next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

He plays for malaga. Champ league quarter finalists

Agree0 Disagree0

To beef up the squad! wasted wages on someone we don't need

Agree0 Disagree0

'Beef' up the squad? Most posters say he's more donkey than beef.

I don't think this is such a ridiculous statement mate, but I'd rather see Vellios myself

Follow on to last post. We are supposed to be lookin at fc copenhagen striker andreas cornelius. 2dogblue

Believable16 Unbelievable3

Would be a good signing, but I imagine that one of the so-called big European (Champions League) clubs would snap him up. There's no doubt that DM identifies some real talent, but, until we have much more income, we can't really compete with these sort of clubs. We desperately need a modern stadium to generate commercial income - without such we'll be stymied by the financial fair play rules. Reducing the average age of the squad isn't just about the fitness/effectiveness of ageing players, it's also that, by and large, older players are on bigger money than most younger players. I fear that our squad-rebuilding will be limited - not by lack of desire, but by restrictions on how much we're allowed to increase our annual wage bill and how much debt we're allowed to carry. At least any incoming transfer fees could be used without penalty under FFP, but that obviously means losing our better players before we could spend it.

THe only other team it mentioned was stoke I think 2dogblue

Bbc gossip saying spurs may move in for england international leon osman as talks stall on new contract. 2dogblue

Believable13 Unbelievable17

They can have him if they want. £6,000,000 for a player that will be 34 when his current deal expires, as soon as he gets an England call-up he thinks he's the Bees-Knees. Can get Fer for that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't believe the negativity around osman he's been at everton all his career he's a good player ok he's not a world class player but we should be showing our loyalty to our homegrown players like osman and Hibbert

Agree0 Disagree0

I would have thought the Ossie deal has stalled due to the length of contract rather than the wages. Ossie is a true blue and IMO has put the needs of the club before his own. I would be very suprised if he is just after the money as I would imagine he would have had at least a couple of oportunities to move for an increased sallary throughtout his career. He has been a solid if not spectacular player but deffinately a TRUE BLUE and deserves a bit more respect than the second poster gives him. If Spurs put a bid in for him and the club except and he leaves then good luck to him.

He walks about a bit too much for a centre mid in my opinion

Players like jags often have to hoof it because our centre mids don't run into space and make themselves available for outlet pass - watch Ossie when jags has ball he'll be walking and 'hiding' behind an opponent so can't be passed to

Agree0 Disagree0

Please, Please let him go, Just don't know what you see in him, good sub that it for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Supposed to be 6million. I'd bite their hand off for that money.

Dortmund have apparently made an offer for Negredo according to Marca, if this is true we are doomed.

Hey ed did moyes really say this?
""I look at him and he's signalling to me with 15 minutes to go - so maybe he's not quite got what's required at Everton or the Premier League. "

If so then he has most likely pissed off a very good and high in confidence mirallas! Why say something like that about a player that gives us something we have been missing for a very long time! He won got us 3 points against stoke and very nearly won us the game at spurs! Mirallas has exactly what everton and the premier league needs! {Ed025's Note - i would very much doubt that he did, it would be managerial suicide mate..

Believable6 Unbelievable3

And then he said that Kev was our Bale, media taking words and mixing them up mate ignore that crap. {Ed025's Note - as they always do stef..

He was referring to his level of fitness at this moment in time.

He also went on to praise his ability and versatility.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Moyes meant to say "got it " as in understanding what is required, rather than saying Mirallas hasn't got the ability.
