Besic signed apparently. But will be confirmed tomorrow. No news on the deal, believed to be between £2.5m and £4m.

Its happening but prob not till Monday before its confimed.also another 4 signings hopefully coming our way. Source. Horses Mouth. Told very exciting times at everton.

Everton have signed Muhamed Besic for an undisclosed fee

I really like this player,just a bit surprised we've given Barry a 3 year contract as besic is a very similar player to him and mcarthy.great bargain at quoted price though and I'm presuming the rest of the transfer kitty will b on a top striker and goalscoring winger and couple of loans maybe.

Totally with you mate. This lad is going to quadruple his value in 2-3 years. It's a great bit of buisness.

I wonder how its going to work next season. We have 4 first team defensive midfielders, none of whom would like to be benchwarmers, and Ledson and Lundstram knocking on the door. Part of me thinks loan out Lundstram and keep Ledson for backup, rotating Barry, McCarthy, Gibson and Besic. But then I have a feeling Gibson and Lundstram (bearing in mind he's about the same age as Besic) may be sold, and Ledson and Besic will be backup for our dynamic duo from last season. Thoughts lads?

I reckon all will play their part mate. The stress of playing in the Europa League will require Bobby to utilise the whole squad. We're there to win it, not make up the numbers.

We're definitely overloaded now and rumours of Sanchez and cleverly to come.i think ledson will go on loan,maybe to la masia for technical development,I believe deal nearly in place for some of our talent to go there.i really like Gibbo but fear either he or lundstrum might b moved on.

Ledson is only 18 or so and he will probably play most of the year with the u21s but should still feature a decent bit in the senior squad.

Martinez has confirmed that talks are ongoing to bring Traore back on loan. Also, the president of Elche has denied that there's been any contact at all from Everton - that usually means he'll be signed up by lunch time tomorrow.

Rumour that we have made an enquiry with Barca about Song would cost 8 million and still only 26 might be a good option

Might be a good option, If not for the shroud of corruption hovering over the Cameroon team during the world cup. Not saying it was Song himself, but there were allegations of match fixing and the whole business about the team not making the first flight out due to a protest over win bonuses make me think there might be a bit of a greed factor here somewhere. Plus his attitude on the pitch is iffy.

Just a rumour I have seen this morning doing the rounds.
Everton & Chelsea officials are meeting in Birmingham to discuss the transfer of Lukaku. Fee believed to be in the £21m region.

Gotta say he is the only player RM and BK have openly talked about trying to 'keep' at Everton, also although rumours have circulated about Bony he looks like he is off to the reds, how come they were never linked with Lukaku? maybe this rumour has some creedance!

I hope so Paul and wakka. £21m seems a fair price and constitutes some profit for Chelsea, although he's hardly worn their shirt. I thought at the end of last season when after scoring (against Arsenal at home?) he came running over to Martinez on the touch line and almost knocked him flying such was his joy at scoring; that a deal could be sorted this summer. God I hope this rumour carries some weight.

I really hope this is true and we actually do sign him

I honestly think there might be something to it. Price seems fair (luckily he didn't have a cracking WC).
Fingers crossed!

Him not having a very good WC has done us a favour what with keeping his price down and other teams trying to poach him.

Spanish media are reporting that Carlos Sanchez, Columbia's defensive midfielder, has signed for Everton today.

Everton had reportedly triggered the release clause in his contract to allow talks to take place, and after a sports agent took a Spanish lawyer to Finch Farm today, it seems that Sanchez is Everton's second signing of the summer.

The £1.75m clause forces Spanish club Elche to allow Everton to speak to Sanchez, who is known as The Rock in Spain.
