Hi ed, is this speculation around ben Gibson actually true or is it just because we were interested in him last summer? Cheers mate.

Haven't really seen much of him. I know he was hyped up the year boro went down. Looked up on line though to see what he's about. All the "professional" sites say he's good BUT slow, not good in the air, not that strong and an average tackler. Surely most of the attributes a centre back needs. Is that harsh or is he being iverly hyped up because he's english?

{Ed001's Note - his strength is in reading the game, better to read it well and intercept a pass or stop it from being played that way in the first place than to take the risk of a tackle. It is the stuff you don't get to see, the blocking of passing lanes etc that make the real difference.}

Hey Ed 025 lots of rags again saying today that we are linked with a move for Marcus Rashford, some signing that would be mate just what we need eh.

Maybe he’s a young lad who won’t want to move out the north west, might like the set up he is shown, might buy into Everton’s plans, maybe Brands is an excellent negotiator, maybe manu don’t see us as a threat so are happy to let him come. There is lots of reasons why it could easy happen, but first the interest has to be real.

I read a report so can't claim this as my fact, but one rag claims all their centre backs seem to struggle in their first year, then they start to shine. They have 6 now so my guess would be. If they keep him he's going to be really good since they paid 35 million or something close to that. If he sells them then they aren't up to Mourinho's standards. If he sells him cheap then he's terrible. If he recoups most of his money back then there's every good chance Silva will bring the very best out of him. If he doubles his price then it's a risk you take.

I think we will be linked with so many players again this summer GB there will probably be 1 or even more new names everyday, I'm just going along for the ride and looking forward to what Silva and Brands have planned.
