How is Klopp being allowed to berate the for a half hour straight?! Double standards.

Do any of the Ed's know, with a degree of certainty, what are the monthly shortfalls on both the footballing side and the Bromley Moore development?

{Ed002's Note - It would be easy to work out but not really relevant. The loans and debt are the issue.}

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2024 19:26:11
It is certainly relevant if Mr Moshiri hasn’t made a first charge condition on his loans.
If this is not the case it would be in his financial interests to cover any monthly shortfall, as additional loans, to avoid any threat of going into administration.

24 Apr 2024 07:38:00
Hi Ed 02. You mentioned somewhere about administration being possible in Mid May. What would we need to do to avoid that happening? Does it look like 777 won't be taking over? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Have the money in place to pay the MSP debt in full.}

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2024 10:23:25
Hi Ed,

As mentioned on a previous thread by a fellow poster if we were more than 9 points clear come last game of season.

Could we go into administration this season and take the 9 points hit this season and try get ourselves some breathing space and house in order during summer.

Sure not so straight forward but just curious if a viable option for all.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is not as simple as that I am afraid.}

24 Apr 2024 11:10:22
Thanks Ed ?.

24 Apr 2024 12:43:32
Thanks Ed. Let's hope we have the money in place to pay it, doubtful by the looks of things.

23 Apr 2024 14:57:40
Of the potential clubs that are going down this season are there any players you would want from them.
Sheff Utd
Burnley
Luton
Forest.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Apr 2024 16:31:05
Your assuming we are safe I take it?

23 Apr 2024 17:01:30
Pay for no! On a free then maybe.

23 Apr 2024 18:20:29
Hamer from Sheffield Utd all day long!

23 Apr 2024 18:47:13
Agree Worcester and I'd look at Trafford at Burnley if Pickford was to go.

In fact if and when Dyche does go Company be a decent shout for manager. Young, good premiership experience and you would presume decent connections, got Burnley some decent stuff at times.

23 Apr 2024 18:57:04
We won't get him but gibbs-white from forest, barkley from luton and berge from Sheffield utd. I'm not sure there's a decent striker at them clubs that's any better than what we have though.

23 Apr 2024 20:15:06
Where we not looking at Bereton Díaz before? He is a Villareal player but if a loan was available (cheap loan) surely he is an improvement.

Second Hamer.

Josh Brownhill on a free.

That lad at Forest Awoniyi the ex Liverpool striker.

22 Apr 2024 22:35:29
Consensus on this site, and mine now, seems to be to bring in a new manager for next season. Anyone got thoughts on who they realistically would like to see here. Must admit, I can't see who would want to take on what is likely to be a massive challenge over the summer.

{Ed025's Note - its a tough one that TBT and it would depend if they would take the job in the first place, i think Potter would be a good choice myself, but if not would like us to take a chance on an up and coming young manager from the championship mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2024 23:09:25
Realistically it will be Dyche next season - there is no money at the club and taking loans out to survive week by week so can’t imagine we’ll sack Dyche.

If by some miracle we are looking for a new manager then Potter, Michael Carrick or Lee Carsley would potentially be realistic targets for us - Kieran McKenna would also be a good shout but only if Ipswich fail to get promotion.

22 Apr 2024 23:51:57
Thanks Ed. I would probably go with your second choice and someone who knows the players from the lower divisions. It's where we're going to be shopping I guess.

{Ed025's Note - it does look that way TBT..

23 Apr 2024 09:00:40
Hope it is players from lower leagues matey, some gems down there and lads that actually want to play for us, breath of fresh air from the tripe served up by our so called superstars.

23 Apr 2024 10:27:59
Sheaf from Cov for me GB.

23 Apr 2024 12:25:11
Yep he would be one I d pick as well mate, good shout.

23 Apr 2024 15:09:44
Managers have massive egos, and plenty will be up for taking us on. As long as we are still a Premiership team.

23 Apr 2024 15:49:36
And we don't want a massive ego managing our club. We want a feet on the ground guy with good coaching skills and the ability to use players to their strengths and not because they are his favourites. Potter and Howe fit the bill for me and, maybe a few others. No previous managers for me. The club they knew has long gone and needs to change.

24 Apr 2024 12:55:44
Rather have Harry Potter.

24 Apr 2024 17:06:47
Think he means all managers even the likes of Potter and Howe have big ego’s.

22 Apr 2024 20:49:47
I honestly have no idea why people are worried. My god we are an awful team and we struggle to put 2 forward passes together. But there is no way Forest and Luton are going to win 2 games. I'm not positive about us like GB is, I just can't see either of those teams getting the points they need. Yesterday's win is the one that has kept us up I would say.

{Ed025's Note - not quite dan but its gone a long way to securing it mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2024 21:04:22
I might be wrong, I just can't see the others picking up enough points.

{Ed025's Note - hopefully not dan..

22 Apr 2024 21:12:00
We won't be so lucky next season so we better get our act together.

22 Apr 2024 21:08:56
Avoid defeat to Luton and should do for us imo.

22 Apr 2024 21:14:28
Agree mate, next season could define our future.

23 Apr 2024 15:11:00
Well Luton could beat us, so there's one win.

22 Apr 2024 20:40:48
Reading the mighty Liverpool have only won once in the last 6 visits to Goodison gives me hope COYB.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Apr 2024 06:18:59
Love it GB. You are the silver lining around this cloud we are under.

I’m not going to rush out and put my mortgage on a blue win nevertheless.

22 Apr 2024 09:48:20
Whilst I do feel for Forest, for Clattenburg - a man who has an entire merseyside derby named in his honour for such poor refereeing and then pretty much avoided us like the plague for years after - for him to be the one questioning a ref whose had a bad day seems a little rich. Wind your neck in pal springs to mind.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Apr 2024 17:47:53
I certainly don’t feel anything for Forest, how many bad decisions from VAR and bad reffing this season have we had, needs must mate.

{Ed025's Note - im happy for us of course GB but i cant help feeling sorry for Forest mate, its no fun to be on the receiving end of this corrupt Premier League and its cohorts at the PGMOL....as well we know..

22 Apr 2024 19:30:33
Very true Ed. It's the bigger picture for me.

For the good of the game a lot needs changing.

{Ed025's Note - it really does Mocker mate..

22 Apr 2024 20:42:32
VAR needs binning that’s for sure.

{Ed025's Note - amen to that GB..

21 Apr 2024 21:25:33
So, I am not a huge fan of Dyche's methods. Or the way he sets his teams up to play. But really, with the squad he inherited, and the lack of funds at his disposal, what would we have accepted as a decent result this year? Without points deducted, we would have been safe 2 games ago. Would anyone have acceoted that at the begining of the season? Just throwing it out there.

{Ed025's Note - i know what you are saying TBT but if you are happy to watch that dross every game mate you are in the minority, this is Everton, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum..

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2024 22:53:07
It’s going to get worse before it gets better as well given we will need to sell Branthwaite and Onana to balance the books.

21 Apr 2024 23:39:01
The football is crap. We got a fluke against Burnley, and got away with murder today. Anyone who thinks this guy is a good manager is deluded. I mean he plays Young every week, that’s how bad he is.

22 Apr 2024 06:55:17
As I stated above, I am no fan of Dyche, but he has inherited a very poor squad of players. Not sure who could get a tune out of that lot.

21 Apr 2024 22:43:24
Absolutely agree with you Ed.
What I am struggling to get my head around is, would another manager be able to get more out of what I think is a very very poor group of players. Strength is probably goalkeeper and 2 centre halves. Would we be half way up the league and playing good football wirh another manager with these players.

{Ed025's Note - the squad is very poor TBT but the players are still better than what they are showing at the moment mate, its all about coaching and if these mainly international players cant pass a ball 10 yards then something is wrong, for me its about basics and motivation and i dont see any of that in this team, so yes i believe a new manager could do better..

22 Apr 2024 07:54:25
Be a really interesting scenario to see a good manager coach this lot. I have my doubts we would be much better than we currently are, but agree that change needs to be made at the end of the season.
Just not sure what manager would want ruin their reputation coming into this club at the moment.

22 Apr 2024 07:57:20
What worries me is, if we manage to stay up, someone might think he's done a good job and keep him on.

22 Apr 2024 08:29:45
That’s my worry Nick.

22 Apr 2024 09:18:36
If he keeps us up then there is a argument that he has done a decent job under tough circumstances.

Problem is next season in theory we will be weaker as a squad with departures and no funds, stronger teams coming up from EFL.

I don't think Dyche goes in the summer and if doesn't expect pretty much the same.

All for a change and reset as what we need but who takes us forward and where is the money coming from to do so?

22 Apr 2024 12:43:51
Mocker, I think there comes a time when the players decide how they want to play rather than the manager. He picks them yes, but if they really want to stay Premier League players, they know what to do and, that's step up to the mark and give everything they have. I don't believe Dyche gets the best out of our players. He's lost their faith.

23 Apr 2024 08:34:29
I totally agree with you Nick that Dyche isn't getting the full potential out of the players.

We have a very much mixed bag of a squad. We have little pace especially wide, lack creativity throughout the team and don't have a set pieces special-ist.

All for a change but don't see it happening nor do I see a potter getting much out of this squad and we need investment which we don't have nor much wiggle room.

Desperately need for some of the youngsters to step up but Dyche won't/ can't trust to step up in these circumstances.

Get survival, club make a decision in summer in regards manager, if still Dyche then him and his coaches need to get the balance right somehow.

21 Apr 2024 20:43:04
Bottom teams are so poor this season that 31 points could see safety.
This is all down to the premier league no longer being a competitive league due to all the money and advantages going to the Sly6.
Champions league is killing our league and getting worse.
Good news for us though, as we may just about have enough again to limp home before the last game of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2024 19:55:55
Made up with the win but can't defend sd his tactics and decision to play young who should have cost us the game (I'd be fuming if we never got them decisions)
Let's just get safe and start AGAIN next season.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Apr 2024 21:58:24
Seriously? We’ve won a really important game against a rival in the relegation fight and we still have complaints.

We’ve also won two of our last 3 games and kept 2 clean sheets - as boring and dire as the football is can’t really complain with those 2 results or his tactics in those games.

Young had a decent game - made a couple of dubious challenges but wasn’t penalised for them so who cares? We all know he has an error in him yet today we’ve won and kept a clean sheet so doesn’t really matter about his performance.

The fact Dyche plays him is because of the crap recruitment and terrible injury list we have.

22 Apr 2024 08:39:04
Still have complaints. We were lucky against Burnley and lucky against Forest. But that’s ok because we won? No it’s not, the football is still bloody awful and we are still letting teams dominate us at home. And as for Young. How can you say he had a decent game, he was all over the place. Garner is a much better option than Young any day.
Oh and it matters about his or any other players performance. Trouble is some supporters have got use to having low expectations so to them Dyche is the messiah.

22 Apr 2024 09:02:43
I played football to win and would run through brick walls. The point of contact sport football/ rugby is to be better than the opposition in putting the ball over the line. Get beat 3-1 oooh but we played well, no you fing didn't you got beat.

22 Apr 2024 19:26:36
But it is possible to play well and lose. Trouble is we don’t even play well. But apparently that doesn’t matter.
