I really hope we sign a forward, one bit of bad luck for Romelu injury wise and we will be struggling, with us seemingly putting some form together, and Man United about to resume European football, we could really push to get a place or two higher in the league, we desperately need cover for Lukaku .

Do efc hold any interest in anton donker the wolfsburg winger?

{Ed007's Note - No.}

Unless he's amazing, I don't want him because every mistake he'd make we'd have to listen to donker the donkey puns for a week (I really know nothing about this guy though)

Talking to some fellow Blues over the weekend and the subject of a new ground came in to the conversation.
One of the strands of the conversation turned to Prince Ruperts Tower and, it were at all possible, the feasibility of moving it from Everton Brow to become a main feature at the new ground.

Our opinion was pretty much divided 50/ 50 but I'd like to hear the opinion of the readers and posters on here.
So, and just for fun, should Prince Ruperts Tower stay in its historical home on Everton Brow or, if at all possible, move it very carefully to the new ground to take pride of place there?

{Ed025's Note - i would move it myself RIB, its not in a very good position to be of any use to the club and netherfield rd is basically derelict mate..

Definitely clean it up and move it to a footall environment may be to a road or footpath leading to the stadium . prince ruperts way? 😀

I like the sound of that Skylark. In fact I would make that the main route to the ground. Bit like old Wembley way use to be. And have Dixies statue overlooking the Mersey.

I'm for moving it as well would be a good focal point at the entrance to the new stadium and a bit of tradition to go with the new surroundings

I mentioned the same thing the other day. I'm not local (South Wales) but only a previous trip up a taxi driver took me passed and said he believes it was basically a storage room for the council now.

I agree with you king koeman i too think when barry goes off its as if he's let off the leash when Morgan or jimmy mac are covering with them having more pace and he doesn't have to be afraid of covering the back 3

I usually listen to the football phone in on Radio Merseyside when coming home from work. Tonight it was pure class. Red nose after red nose moaning. Even the owners got some stick. The only player who escaped criticism was Mane and he's in Africa!

Just a bit of fun for a bit. I was just wondering what everyone's top 3 worst TV football pundits are and who you all think talks the most sense. there must be some pundits that don't go down too well.
So top 3 best and top 3 worst. It's only a bit of fun.

Best. Ian holloway, phil neville and ruud guillet. Worst has to be mark lawenson, micheal owen and gary neville. Think only holloway speaks the truth and doesn't csre who it upsets.

Alan Smith, Alan Smith and Alan Smith. His voice drives me mad and I have never heard such a red who is not a red. Then he talks a load of biased drivel whereby the "top 4" clubs never do anything wrong and anything Everton is wrong! I am sure he is a closet Liverpool fan.

Worst has to be Mr Jermain "contradict myself every 2 minutes" Jenas
then Michael Owen and Phil Neville

Best, sorry to say Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Robbie Savage

Over here in ireland we have eamon dunphy. He is a pundit for international matches. well worth looking at him on youtube. He came in drunk one time, slags off other journalists for having affairs with women. Some of the stuff he comes out with is priceless

Michael Owen and Phil Neville are two of the most boring men I've ever heard. If their wives are not having affairs then they must have the worlds largest supply of vibrators. Phil looked like he was going to cry when Shearer said Stones was rubbish against us.

Finally Phil Thompson. Absolute tool not just in punditry.

On bbc Merseyside, Jimmy case is awful. His voice is annoying and he thinks Liverpool should win 10-0 every match. Also David pleats is bad and he just doesn't shut up.

Even at an old age, Jimmy armfield is still good. I also like carragher and g Neville being honest and not afraid to slag players, even ines they have played with.

Worst, Owen, Lawrenson, and a 4 way tie for third between Thompson, Macmannaman, Merson and Jenas.
Best, seeing as you never said current, i would have to say the legendary Brian Moore, Carragher and Neville.

Is Dunphy the one who got charged for saying something like "Ji Sung Park in number 13, which means he's a chicken chow mein"?

Why are people going on about Wayne Rooney yes I would like him back too, but he cannot join another English club. it's in his United contract, so it's up to United not Rooney, not Harry redknap or anyone else. so it is not going to happen for at least 2 seasons

Agree0 2Disagree

23 Jan 2017 21:43:22
I'm sure ed02 said in a reply to someone else there is no rules in his contract to stop joining any club in the world

Personally this ship has sailed. He isn't the same player anymore. 2 goals this season isn't what we need.

I love the lad but we want to move on a level and Rooney is not it. let's think to the future and look fondly on the past.

We don't need a mentor for the kids like Redknapp said they are doing fine with the ones there already. He's not going to replace Ross or Rom and he's not going to come to us to sit on the bench. He will cost a fortune and that money could be spent on a player that will last longer and improve the team more than 6 to 12 months Rooney may have left.

{Ed025's Note - im with you john..

23 Jan 2017 19:12:45
Im not been funny but do we need ( once a blue, always a blue ) Rooney, come on guys, we need to build a team for the future, ie next season, Wayne is best a midfielder now, need Defender and help for Rom up front
