To the person who wrote the VOLCANIC DUST joke how far behind the times are you.Are you from Emerdale or Oslo because that came out when it first happened around town.BITTER REDS.

Remember the volcanic cloud which blanketed Europe some months ago?Well, an in depth investigation has revealed that the dust has been traced to Goodison Park.Apparently a cleaner there decided to give the trophy cabinet a wipe, resulting in a dust so huge it billowed into the sky and blanketed Europe.

After all the stories in todays press i think it would be a great idea to groundshare with L@@@rpool. we would get a far bigger stadium than we could afford on our own plus with both clubs history we would attract the best sponsors in the world therefore generating cash to spend on the team / new manager.

Expect David Moyes to leave Everton in the next few weeks. He will leave amicably after accepting the job as new presenter of the revised BBC Match of the Day programme following recent attacks on the programme standards in the press. Gary Lineker and his wife are set to become presenters on ITV1 This Morning Programme. No Joke.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
THIS IS DEFINETELY NO JOKE. THE NEW MATCH OF THE DAY FORMAT WILL HAPPEN BEFORE CHRISTMAS. THE PROGRAMME WILL LAST 2 HOURS AND WILL BE OF A SIMILAR FORMAT TO SKYSPORTS MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, WITH MORE PUNDITS DISCUSSING TACTICS, AS PERFORMANCES OF TEAMS, PLAYERS AND MANAGERS.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
True. A cross between Sky Monday Night football, BBC F1 forum and Radio 5 606. Main Presenter Jake Humphreys, with Hansen, Lawro, Lee Dixon, Shearer and Moyes taking calls and discussing the main points from Saturdays games.

WILL EVERTON FANS PLEASE GET OFF D.M. BACK. HE IS A GREAT MANAGER. HE HAS BROUGHT OUR CLUB OUT OF RELEGATION BATTLES AND INTO EUROPEAN BATTLES! YES HE HAS HIS GOOD POINTS AND BAD ONES! MY MAIN BIT OF CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISISM OF D.M. IS HIS LACK OF ABILITY TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE A GAME. I.E. PLAN B. I WAS AT BRENTFORD ON TUESDAY NIGHT WHERE I THOUGHT WE OUTPLAYED THEM BUT LACKED THE FINISHIN TOUCH. IT TIMES LIKE THIS YOU NEED A PLAN B! WHETHER U CHANGE FORMATION, SWAP WINGERS OR MAKE A SUB BUT DDO SOMETHING! IMWT! ! ! !

After the Brentford result I fully expect all the "Sack Moysie" crowd to be out in force. As regular readers will know I am most definitely NOT in that number. I still honestly think he is the best manager for our great club. However, everybody has their strong & weak points no matter what job they do. As this is a fan's "banter" site, I assume that this can involve discussion. That's why I'm interested in hearing true Everton fans views on our manager's talents. .& failings!

So, to start, I'd like to make known where I think Moysie needs to "up his game" slightly. It's in one area of buying players, namely strikers. This season, I fell we have two extremes in that department - 2 very experienced players in Yak & Saha, & untried young players in Beckford & Gueye. I'm not forgetting Anichebe, but I'd class him more in the latter category. As for Yak & Saha, I'm sorry, but I don't rate either. Yak has always been a nomad of a player, & he looks like he's ready for moving on at the moment. Saha, although undoubtably talented & skilful, is usually crocked or recovering. I would have loved to see, at the start of the season, both these two move on to be replaced with more reliable, consistent strikers.
I know we didn't have fortunes available, but the sale of Yak & Saha could surely have financed the purchase of up to two of, Keane, Crouch, Darren Bent, Tuncay or Kevin Doyle?
We are toothless at the moment & January seems a long way off.
Sorry, David, you're still a top manager, but as far as buying strikers, I'm afraid it's a "Must do better" on your report!
What do other fans think?

In a word, NO!

Will these Everton 'fans' stop calling to sack Moyse.

Firstly when Aston Villa lost O'Neil who where the potential managers? Gareth Southgate(ha, he would slowly get us lower and lower in the league til relegation), Gary Megson (lol)or maybe Sven Eriksonn (like hes gonna win a trophy).

Villa got lucky-ish with Houlier but unless we could get O'Neil (which is very unlikely) we would be screwed and would have to get used to mid-table (or worse).

Be happy with what you've got you ungrateful toffees.

Keep writing ToffeeTezza! !

20 Sep 2010 02:04:42
I completely agree with toffee tezza!

we have a great squad and one of the best midfields in the country, i remember this time last year and the same people were calling for moyesy's head and as usual we turned it round and they all changed their tunes and loved him again.

THey really do have short memories, i've already lost about 10 years off the end of my life by watching the shambles we were under walker and smith. Dont think anything will ever make up for seeing Brett Angel in the everton blue. We could actually make a D.V.D of his misses ( some of which were truly horrendus, i still have nightmares), it would be a top seller, then we could afford a striker

But what i can't understand is that moyesy stated hiself after the Portsmouth game last year that getting a goal scorer was top priority as we were toothless up front! WHAT HAPPENED! !

its getting to the stage were giving the everton under 14s striker a game can't be any worse than whats up front at the moment, maybe our striKers should be whipped for every shot off tarket! ! !

as for regis, what a legend, hes probably still fitter, faster, younger and skinnyer that the yak. maybe we could tempt Jason 'pineapple on his head' Lee out of retirement!

I would have Regis he's younger than the Yak and he also has League 1 experience like Beckford plus he would probs score more goals than both put together. PADDOCKBLUE

I just don't believe some so-called Everton "fans" write garbage like this :-

david moyes has took everton as far as he can 8 years and still no silverware time for change get someone in to get club moving in right direction
from theturdz the only one to say it as he sees it

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Well, I'll say it as I see it - You obviously think we are moving in the WRONG direction - you must be very young or have a terrible memory! We have one of the best squads in the EPL & several players who would walk into any team. I remember, before Moysie, when we had to cheer players like Bakayoko, Farrelly, Warsyka, Alexanderrson etc. It was hard work, believe me! The last couple of matches of every season were a nail-biting nightmare fearing relegation, unlike now when those matches involve fighting for a European place. OK, we haven't won any trophies (yet) but how many teams have, apart from the ones that have "bought" them?
Finally, (God forbid), if we did lose Moysie, who do you suggest would start to win us trophies? There is no manager out there better suited to Everton Football Club than David Moyes. We should be very thankful to have him.

I have it on very good authority that David Moyes will make the following key signings in the Jan transfer window.

1) Landon Donovan ( to be played at centre half )

2) Roger Johnson from Birmingham ( to be our new rightsided winger )

3) Gomes from spurs ( Goalkeeper ) to be our own "lone striker".

13 Sep 2010 19:28:47

Gosling has gone. . . If you look at the first eleven and then the bench for saturdays game against manure. Even if he was fit, he would have be playing in the reserves or on loan somewhere. I would rather read about either Everton's current crop or the greats from the past; Gosling does not fit into either category. Good luck to him, but he's gone.

{ed's note - I did wonder that when he was on about Gosling's flair and skill, but I thought I might just have missed some flashes of genius during Everton reserve games or something.}

I have always liked him simply because of that goal against Liverpool but I think we just never found best position for him, he was just solidly average. That sounds harsh but he never beat man pace/skill could not tackle, passing was not great etc. to say better than Rodwell? just silly!

No editor, I don't rate Rodwell. In my opinion the best young player we had was Dan Gosling, and we wer stupid to let him go.

ToffeeKid {ed's note - Gosling lacked pace though, if I remember correctly.}

You literally have no idea about football.

07 Sep 2010 16:28:42

Dan Gosling was no more than a peripheral squad player. The only way he got a game was filling in for injuries and no more than that. He has potential to be a descent player but not much more than that. He has no pace and he couldn't win a tactle with a five year old. He did a bunk because he knew he wouldn't get a game with us. He will do well at Newcastle, but he won't set the world alight.

Editor, I don't think you know what your talking about! Dan Gosling is the next big thing! he does have pace! He also has the flair and skill to make it at the higest level.

Take no notice, Ed. I can only think that this was posted by one of Gosling's family! ! A lot of true Evertonians will tell you that the only "next thing" Gosling is, is the next Franny Jeffers!

ToffeeKid {ed's note - not the same player I have seen then, he never looked anything like as good as Rodwell whenever I watched them play. Certainly never showed any signs of flair for Plymouth as a kid either.}

I think we would be lukcy to even get a 6million bid off Man Utd for Jack Rodwell. From what ive seen of rodwell, he doesn't have as much potential as people make out. I think Moyes will be looking to offload the player at the end of the season.

We are not on the verge of winning anything we need a top striker and right winger but we spend nothing again because we did'nt sell. When we finish mid-table and some of our top players want to go to ambitious clubs to win things Fellaini, Hettinga and god forbid Moyes does the same will you still back Kenwrong then.1OYRS in charge 2 failed ground attempts(the 2nd a blessing) no investment whatsoever, increased our debt x4, Goodison mortgaged to the hilt, rented training ground, borrowing against 2012/13 sky money already, another loan of 14m to pay off a previous 9m loan and to help pay the wages even though we spent 0 this window.The only time his position was challenged(GREGG) he came up with this sportress fund bull which went away once Gregg did not to forget the NTL fiasco.His watch this space classic well im still waiting Bill. Nice man? YES. A blue? YES. Good chairman? NO. The man to take EFC forward? NO F###### CHANCE.

Firstly, well said BlueJeff. As a football club I believe we have been through a great period of stability and credibility since Bill took over and more so when he made the decision to appoint David Moyes as manager.The premier league is an unbelievably difficult place to compete, however, we have managed to progress, and are
a much better all round outfit than when the League began. We owe a massive debt of thanks to all that Bill has done, the hard work especially in keeping our much sought after manager. For every sleepless night the chairman has had, I personally say thankyou and to David Moyes for giving all supporters of our great club hope and genuine belief.

It amazes me when I read some of the absolute drivel written by so called Evertonians. What Moyes has achieved in his time with us, is that he took us from no hopers to being a major force in the premiership; a team that no one wants to play. He has achieved this with brilliant leadership and shrude judgement. Man City and teams like them, feel the only way to be successful is buy anything at what ever price is quoted. Money does not buy success. I don't want Everton to be like Man City etc. Were not a cheque book club, we do things the right way and we will win things.
The futures bright the future is Everton. Keep the faith.

Totally agree with magsman. were all kidding ourselves if we think we are actually going to do something under the current owner and manager. lets take our blue tinted glasses off boys and face the facts. were not as good as we think. no trophys since 95 and that's a club moving forward. im sorry but i completley disagree

anderson the bitter

This is a long term plan, there is no point pouring money into the club that we don't have and do a portsmouth. We are improving, steadily and most importantly not at the expense of our club soul. I am proud of the fact we don't buy expensive imports rather than cultivate our great academy. We are the peoples club and it shows. Everytime someone like Rodwell and Osman and Hibbert step onto the field a part of our great city steps foot onto the pitch with them.

Another transfer window shut and Everton spend a mind boggling 1.5m after bringing in roughly the same. . The rest of the PREM must be shaking with the ambition and intent of our club!
Another sad, sad summer how much longer can BK take our support for granted. . We need a Right midfielder and a striker. . oh well there's always Jan's transfer window! :)

02 Sep 2010 14:35:03
Moyes has taken us from a poor relegation material team to a mediocre team. With more funds he could do better but we will never know. If he was ambitious he'd go to Villa where he'd get a few bob to spend , we'd then see how good he is.
