What happened to the so called takeover of Everton FC. I don't think there has been any offer from anyone. Its just a fan DREAMING of things that might have been. If Bill wants to sell to a Everton fanatic who is a billionaire why has he not got any offers, in other words there is no Everton fanatic who is a billionare. Come on Bill find someone who can become an Everton fanatic who is a billionare.
Why not try TESCO's you have dealt with them before.

To the person who said by selling those everton players and having 40 million who would they buy. . .
Get real if you have to sell those players why would that failed actor get players in again that you will only have to sell can't wait till ur relegated would be an amazing summer

22 Feb 2011 13:45:51
At least yakubu has shown good form in the championship .its looks ok for next years promotion push for ye

21 Feb 2011 11:58:31
If in the summer we sell rodwell, heitinga, yobo, yak and vaughan that will surely raise 40 mil plus. Who could we sign?

20 Feb 2011 16:23:37
Got some info from a good source that everton had two takeover bids this season alone, im a hull fan myself but a close friend of mine knows a couple of people in and around the club and she said that apparently your chairman recieved two offers thought to be between 80 and 105 million but rejected both because he is looking for closer to 250 million for the club, with a enough money to guarantee whoever is in charge at your club at that point has guaranteed transfer kitty big enough to challenge for the champions league places, but she also said that its doubtful david moyes will be in charge next season, she rekons theres a very good chance of peter reid finally getting the job, heard anything ed?
{Editor's note - I haven't but will ask the other Ed's now}

This is in todays 'Sunday Mirror'

Moyes s position at Everton is now a matter for debate around Goodison Park. His work over the past nine years has been widely acclaimed.

Given the club s financial constraints, he has bought wisely and coached his team to the brink of glory.

But this season s flirtation with relegation, especially last weekend s defeat at Bolton, has seen Moyes come under renewed scrutiny.

He admitted he was devastated by Everton s 2-0 defeat at Bolton on Monday.

And an increasing lobby believe the time is right for Moyes to move to a new challenge, though he got a huge boost yesterday with a thrilling FA Cup win over Chelsea on penalties.

Given the progress Spurs have made under Redknapp, and their current tilt at Champions League and Premier League glory, the White Hart Lane job will be very attractive if it becomes available.

There is no suggestion that Spurs have made an approach to Moyes yet.

Can I just ask a quick question?

How come so many Liverpool fans come in here to talk sh#t? Are you all quite small-minded saddos who actually find entertainment in talking about another football team rather than discussing your own? You're not actually football fans, you're just no-marks with nothing else to do. I think it's hilarious that you come in here and attempt to wind up fans. I am actually laughing out loud at the fact that you come on here. Brilliant.

I am a red and have a few points to make

Firstly I don't think there is a chance in hell, Tim Cahill will ever move accross the park. I am pretty sure Everton and Cahill have had a few good offers over the past 4 years and he has shown his loyalty.

The possible buy out, we have seen in the past (with my club being the best example), any bids that have been recieved that do not meet the long terms REALSITIC targets of the club, then Kenright is and has done the correct thing.

The new ground, although we hate the thought it makes absolute sense for Liverpool and Everton to share a ground. At some point we will have to move out of Anfield at it will cost a lot more than it will now, and Goodison despratly needs a massive restructure which makes no financial sence, so let bite the bullet and follow the milan startagey.

The Andy Carroll signing, yes we paid over the odds but there was no way Torres was going to stay and without another quality striker, we would struggle to get into europe. Remember the Wayne Rooney transfer, at the time the fee was a huge amount and that worked out very well for UTD. Andy Carroll has all the potential Wayne had and will be a success.

well said i still think the kings dock would have suited both teams lets hope we can all find a suitable compromise.i hope the clubs and fans see the light and this city gets a stadium to be proud of.we can stand together again andy69

Come on true blue fans. lets stop the silly chut chat and lets get behind the blues! look what happens when 6000 true blues get behind them, we beat the holders on there turf. lets do this at home and we will be fine. inturn we will get investment and moyes may stay if not we can pull a better quality manager. if not and moyes goes who will replace him? with no money and our best players following him. in the blues we trust!

I just saw this in the 'Daily Telegraph'

Lampard Desperate for Redknapp to mange England.

The Tottenham Hotspur manager is becoming the overwhelming favourite to succeed Fabio Capello, and his stock rose even further this week when he led his side to a 1-0 win against AC Milan in the San Siro in the last 16 of the Champions League.

It s for him and the FA to decide but it would be nice if it were an English manager, said Lampard. At the moment, Harry s doing a fantastic job at Spurs and if he has an opportunity to manage England, I m sure he d be an outstanding manager.

This is how it begins. First the red carpet is laid down in the media, then the inevitable happens. I'm telling you. . Moyes is on his way to spurs. But I still feel we can win silverware in this, his final season.
In some way it would act as an incentive to the squad. Let's face it. . it the only one we have right now. COYB

Just heard that Moyes has told the squad that he's off at the seasons end. One of the more senior players actually cried. Finch farm is NOT a happy place right now!

I suppose the field mouse who runs around outside told you that one. Please stick to what you know about, not what you would like to think would happen! Worry about your own team across the park, because you really should be.

I love kopites laughing about us signing that greek lad for 230000 are these the same kopites who laughed when we signed coleman for 100000 and hes probally worth about 10 million now, so keep laughing kopites and remember you spent 35 million on a player that's done nothing and never will.terry efc

Stop posting crap about our beloved EFC plse. Listen guys and gals, i have never been moyes number 1 fan however with our current status as a struggling club with no candy and little future prospects at winning cups and european football which high calibre manager would want to join a club like ours with no candy to get top players to progress our club! so for now lets get behind a committed, loyal manager and support him for the better of our club. if we don't moyes will go and with our funds we will get a very low calibre manager, our best players will leave and we will be here again very soon moaning about him and the club oh and watching championship footie! come on you mighty blues peckers up TRUE BLUES

Kops***es call us bitterBlues. So by constantly going on about there strengths we prove them right. The fact is that the modern game(like it or not)demands investment to achieve success. This became the norm' once the prem began under it's new name & new structure. Man united had the wisdom to foresee this and so flourished. I always felt that liverpool hesitated and that has been a weight around their neck ever since. But at Everton, we seem to want to cling on to a floating corpse. It's good to have values but, if you don't spend you don't win. Sadly I feel we have run out of steam and the drop is fast approaching. So instead of screaming at liverpool(like they are to blame)we should try a little harder to re-evaluate the problems with our once great club.

So you soon to be relegated blue noses would not like to spend 58m on 2 stikers my arse, there is an old chinese saying, a wise man can talk like a fool, but a fool can't talk like a wise man, ynwa

Teams like Liverpool only ruin the game, if mediocre gets £35M now! Whats the asking price in the future? The game is heading for a nose dive and like lemmings, Livepool are leading the pack. Another Chinese proverb says "Be careful what you wish on others, for it could happen to you".

Liverpool lost there prized asset in Torres and they bought Carroll at £35M. Sorry but to every supporter up and down this land, Europe and beyond this buy screams out loud of desperate PANIC! Its clear to everyone except those morons at across the park. Carroll on a good day is worth between £8 - £11M and only if they get in a bidding war; £35M is a crazy joke. Worry about your own team, because you really should be! There is an old saying " A fool and their money are soon seperated" in Liverpools case its very true! Mike Ashley is laughing all the way to the bank, he came up with a stupid number that no one would ever pay and the d****eads from Anfield went for it. LOL LOL LOL

Is this a joke? If you want to talk about results shaun, ok then mate. We have won 4 and drew 1 in the last 5 games, and now are 6th.

To Blert Mayne. . It quite obvious you have had a good little run. .However, Wigan have exposed that Liverpool still need to buy big; £50M on two strikers, who's real worth is £20M on a good day. Your problems are with your back four mate and the midfield are not much better. The money spent on Carroll, would have been better served buying a couple of defenders and a winger or two. You will come unstuck well before the seasons over. Also from what is about to happen to Liverpool with Hicks & Gillett about to take you to the cleaners again. Should be fun to watch.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Seriously mate if you're going to try and respond in kind. At least try and do it with valid points please. Instead of made up BS like you would hear on Kraptalk.

The only problem with our back 4 was not the defenders but the managers tactics (Hodgson). But he has gone, now we have a new manager in. and have 4 clean sheets in 6 games. We've conceeded 4 goals in these 6 games, which shows we are one of the best defences in the PL at the momment.

We did not spend reckless money on Carroll and Suarez. I would have paid 25 mill for Carroll and 30-35 mill for Suarez. So no matter what way you look at it, it would have amounted to the same.

It's no secret our midfield is week. But only in the wide areas. But you can guarantee that NESV will address this problem in the summer. Mireless and Lucas have been 2 of our best players this year. Stevie hasn't played well this season i'll concede that, but Lucas and Raul have been more than able to step up to the plate.

To say that Hicks and Gillett will take us to the cleaners again is just wishful thinking. Hicks and Gillett have their case heard in front of the same Judge (Mr Justice Floyd) they tried to shaft by another Judge in Texas. So what way do you see the Judge's verdict going?

Now please respond again and tell me what your club has going for it at the momment? Because as you can see i can't find anything, please enlighten me.

Blair Mayne YNWA

{Editor's Note: Blair - the court case is nothing to do with the club - they will not be taking any action against the club - the club will not be financially liable.}

I don't know who you are or which team you support, (although you're probably a "glory hunter fan" who says he supports whichever team is doing well!), but I'd like to put you right about the points you raised.
OK, we're having a poor season & I'm not optimistic about next Saturday, but I will never, repeat, NEVER, support any other football team. In a way I pity you because you obviously have no idea about what it REALLY means to support a team. How that team becomes part of your life & something you think about several times a day, every day.
If, God forbid, my beloved Everton were relegated, I would still support them with all my heart. That's what Everton means to its fans. To quote a Rod Stewart song, "You're in my heart, you're in my soul".
You obviously haven't a clue about what it means to be a real football fan!

You've got to wonder where the money is going from Everton. Players like Rooney Lescott Pienaar all been sold and only real money spent was on Fellani. The gates are decent enough and the shirt sells so why never any funds?

{Editor's Note: Your view on the running of teh business is seemingly very simplified. You have forgotten their largest expense which is wages for example.}

You are so right Sir Bob/Maximus/Person not on his own website.

Maybe we should sell the club to a pair of muppets and let them put us in debt £2.5m per week and run us through the sh#t mill that is bad press. Or, maybe we should mind our own business and talk about our own club.

You can't talk about your own club because you don't give a flying fu#ck about them.

Is it just me or are all Liverpool fans arrogant little boys?

Didnt i say these rumours of a takeover were a load of rubbish and that blue bill will not sell because he and the muppets running the club were making money out of us and that keith harris got a call of blue bill to try and blag us about a takeover.Have you noticed since we beat blackpool there as been nothing from the club about a takeover but if we get beat by bolton on sunday that keith harris will probally get another call from blue bill telling him to try and blag us again because the pressure will be back on him. i hate kenwright and the muppets running my club.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Out of the 4 wins in a row. The only game we played bad was the Fulham game, and that was only in the 2nd half. We destroyed Wolves 3-0 away which is no easy task (just ask Man'ure, City and Chelski). Who were all beaten by Wolves at Molineux.

As for saying we havn't beat you this season is just petty and childish. And to be honest it's excatly somthing a Toffee nose would say. Because the highlight of your season or any season is beating us. Don't forget you were coming on our site saying we were going into administration, getting relegated etc. .I think the word you are looking for is "IRONY"

As for Renia? If he wants to go then he can go. No one is bigger than LFC, just ask Torres.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Don't be so naive mate. When you know it was a Toffee nose in disguise, that was burning our great shirt.

As for burning the USA flags. That was in protest against the Iraqi war mate. Hicks and Gillett just happened to be in charge of our club at the time. Then as you well know the anti-LFC media twisted it, to look as if we were doing it because we wanted H&G out.

Which actually worked in the end. So when you think about it, it was Hick's good friend George W Bush who rid the vermon from our club. Not SOS, Share Liverpool, RAWK, Empire Of the Kop, Us "Internet Terriorists, Martin Broughton, Christian Porslow and Ian Ayre etc.

Who will stand up for you in your hour of need? Remember the clock is ticking, tick tock, tick tock.

RE, On a separate matter, I've been watching the situation with the Portsmouth landlady who's gone to the European court to fight Sky over showing live matches in her pub via a Greek broadcaster. This could be very interesting & potentially devastating for the EPL. If she wins this case & tens of thousands of fans cancel their Sky subscriptions & follow her lead do you think that Murdoch will keep pumping millions into the EPL? Me neither!
This could be the straw that breaks the camel's back for many clubs, (especially those with overpriced, overpaid players who'll just head off to La Liga or Serie A).

Errm no it wont, it just means the bigger clubs will get bigger as they will be free to sell their own tv rights, be careful what youwish for!

04 Feb 2011 17:45:37

Cheers Ed; No. don't get me wrong he was a great player for us, but we have Cahill back for Saturday and we have lost players before and coped, we will do it again. I don't want to be to pedantic but Peinaar was sold over two weeks ago, so I was quite safe in what I said. We have not been playing that badly, we just need a result to kick start us again and we need to keep the faith. {ed's note - I find that strange thinking, clearly the loss of a player of that quality without any replacement arriving has to be weakening the squad. I don't believe the admin talk, but there has to be a reason that you only signed one cheap youngster for a team struggling near the foot of the table. It has to be worrying doesn't it?}

We have a good squad which is a mixture of youth and experiance. Taking one player out is not going to make a great deal of difference to us. Peinaar is a very good player but he rarely got on the score sheet. We have Bily, Osman, Cahill and possibly Beckford that can play in that position and they do come up with the odd goal. So to be honest I'm not that worried, we will find a way.

04 Feb 2011 17:32:19

The talk about adminstration seems to be fuelled because we did not bring anyone in the transfer window. However, you only have to look at the pure desparation and panic over the park at Anfield, that would pay well over the odds just to get Carroll. Have they spent money. NO! The combined fee for Torres and Babel is what they paid out for Carroll and Saurez. Are they a stronger team now than last week; NO!. Are we any weaker now than last week; NO! I wouldn't have minded getting Adam, but who else was available in the window. We did right because when others around us panic, we didn't. The investment of Carroll for £35M is a weight around there necks and is he better or even on a par with Torres; No!.
There is no need to panic and we are not going into administration in any shape or form. {ed's note - so you don't think the loss of one of your best players has weakened you?}

Great post tez the portsmouth landlady's case has been going on for nearly five years and this could be the watershed.as for everton i started to worry when we couldn't give piennar more money and what with some of the loans that were on offer that we didn't try to make sturridge at least to our team.as for all the reds postin on here do you really want everton to go bust or to go down?do you think it will be good for this city?the kings dock would and should have been the greatest stadium for both teams all my red mates and familly both agree.andy69

3. Liverpool play Chelsea at the weekend, we have Blackpool at Home. On paper it is possible we will be above Liverpool come Sunday

Someone needs to take a closer look at the table we are currently 5 pts above you we win tonight that makes 8 IF you beat blackpool and IF we lose to chavsky you will still be 2 pts below us I know maths can sometimes be difficult but this is basic addition

Here are some straws which one would you like to clutch? ?

I have received several texts tonight regarding us going into possible adminstration. The source appears to be Alan Stubbs, but after making several calls; Stubbsy left the Everton backroom staff sometime ago and is out the loop. There is nothing on the web apart from this site. It might be true, but then again some people seem to be putting Pienaar departure and the Yak's loan move together and coming up with Adminstration. Babel left Liverpool today and half a dozen players have gone out on loan from them, does this also mean they are going into adminstration as well. Time will tell, but i am not going to take it seriously until I have to.
