Regarding the spurs game last weekend just thought I'd pop my head above the parapet and throw my 10 pence worth in
Up until last week I believe spurs had only conceded 5 goals this season at home in the premier league
Both city and Chelsea lost there 2-0.
The other lot managed a 1-1 draw when they were playing well.
We scored two in probably the only real two occasions we managed to put together.
We weren't on form at all Barkley and Rom apart from the starting 11.
Spurs seemed to be firing on all cylinders and we gifted them at least 2 of there goals .
All that being said, it's not that big a deal . Spurs are a season or two ahead of where we want to be in squad building time yet I believe we aren't that far behind them development wise hope that last bit makes sense.
Yes last week was disappointing but it's not all gloom and doom.
Big C.

Big C. we are ahead of schedule in my opinion. I did not expect the results we have achieved this season. Of course something like losing Lukaku would be a big setback. if it happens. but what is important now, is that we keep adding more quality to the squad each transfer window. We also need to keep the steady line of youngsters coming through the ranks and adding some bargain basement signings from lower leagues. It is a tough ask because we are playing catch up. Over the last 15 years, the so called "top 4" have spent £50 million every season on their respective squads whereas we have broke even. Our squads were designed to do a job and function to the best of their ability. which was not that good in reality. I feel we were just getting there under Moyes, when Martinez came in and undid all the positive stuff (aside from one or two signings) . Koeman has comein aand halted the decline. He has given us all hope and now hard work begins throughout the club. These next 3 seasons will be very interesting for us Evertonians. but we do have that precious commodity. "HOPE".

Agree with yiu there big c, tottenham are a good team doing really well the past 2 or 3 seasons, but at the same time, city are lightyears ahead of us and we hammered them 4-0 and we also beat arsenal 2-1 in december when they were playing well.
The past couple of seasons we've beat city an united few times an who can forget the 3-0 against arsenal an the naismith hatrick against chelsea. So i don't really understand why people are excusing the defeat because there a season or 2 ahead of us when your citys an arsenals are even further ahead again. don't get me wrong id have taken a point before the game because they are in top form but the excuse that there a season or 2 ahead is invalid in my opinion.

Hi Big C good post that mate, i too was at the Spurs ground last Sun and agree we gave two easy goals away especially the roll out to Morgan, Ross was definately better in the second half and also when Kev and Jimmy Mc came on the passing improved and Rom got some service, also as good as Barry has been for us in the past I think its time for him to move on his pace has dropped off, i think there will be some major signings in the summer and then we can try for the top four, cheers mate GuernseyBlue.
