Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Just seen the back of tomorrows Daily Mirror and RK has a column in saturday's issue about England and Russia, I'm sure he's keeping an eye on proceedings at the Euros and will find a gem for us ( depending on the Monchi enquiry) roll on August.

I don't post on here to often but I like to read what the rumours are that are going around but there are so many people moaning today about Gibson getting a contract. How about we just wait and see what the new manager has in store instead of constant negativity! Yes Gibson should have been sacked when he had his hit and run incident but he wasn't. Maybe across the park Gerrard should have been made to pay for battering someone in a bar in Southport but that didn't happen and he was made club and England captain the same as racist John Terry who is a hero at Chelsea. So how about we all just get together and look on the bright side and be optimistic! COYB.

Am starting to think a 100m is nothing vardy 20m scored about 20 goals in last 5 years before last season (fluke) only wish kone will go a run and now deeney 20m bid rejected from Leicester football has gone mad just goes to show why most teams shop abroad looks like keoman will be announced when he gets back from his hols but am sure work has already started on targets and dann and pelle will not be in his sights i hope please back me up ed.

O and forgot to mention if I was in charge of Everton, Gibson would have been sold after he was arrested for that despicable act of drink driving.

Just when you thought things where looking up, everton do it again. the first news after we get a manager is Gibson signed an extension, my God that's really pushing the boat out. can't wait for next season to start now and it should attract some great players to the club. it shows are intentions for next year. I give up.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

09 Jun 2016 21:09:11
He's a good player Skylark. Just because he was plagued with injury this past few seasons doesn't mean that Everton have any less intentions.

Think your getting a bit carried away there. Could be a valuable player in the future.

Agree2 Disagree2

09 Jun 2016 21:51:42
Have we seen enough of him to say "He's a good player"? He's spent more time on the treatment table than on the pitch and it beggars belief that someone who is making decisions at the club thinks he has done enough to justify a 2yr contract extension.

Agree3 Disagree1

09 Jun 2016 21:53:29
Reading posts on most of our fan sites only serves to show how childish some of our fans tend to be. Maybe I'm just out of touch with this new 'I want it now' generation but come on people! I'm not Gibsons biggest fan by a mile but why spit your dummy out so bad Skylark? Granted, the man has been injured more than he has been fit but you do understand that we will be losing an awful lot of the first team squad who are out of contract? Maybe giving him another two years will help fill the squad with a bit of premier league experience.
We haven't got the manager over the line yet but you seem to think that this is showing our intentions? Honestly, some of our fans don't deserve what the new investor will deliver.

Agree3 Disagree2

{Ed025's Note - i think the gibbo issue is different spud, besides spending most of the time in the treatment room he did leave the scene of a hit and run because he was drunk mate, not exactly setting a good example to the youngsters is he?

09 Jun 2016 22:02:18
Doom n gloom merchants. have a day off will ya. always something to moan about. Gibson is a good player n yes is injury prone but I bet his contract extension reflects this. a lottle patience is required.

Good player? NBTB maybe, maybe not but not exactly top 6 team player and the last player I would have thought we would be talking about.

09 Jun 2016 21:29:05
i totaly agree nbtb gibson when fit is a really good player.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 22:07:02
Like I said on my second post despicable act of drink driving and we give him two more years there are plenty of players we could buy better than him should have been sold I don't have a clue who's idea it was to extend his contract but if it's koeman it's a bad start.

Agree0 Disagree1

09 Jun 2016 22:16:04
What's patience got to do with not wanting Gibson in the team it's not doom and gloom it's opinions and I don't rate or want him.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 23:01:45
Totally agree spudv and Smithm8. We could be damn glad of him yet. I know Ed025 he made a mistake with that. I'm sure no one knows that better than himself. For me its not big enough reason to let him go.

People have short memories. He came in Jan if mine serves me right. There was some crazy statistic that we didn't lose a game that he played in for 6 months. This was before he got injured.

Totally agree with spudv. Sick of people wanting instant success and wanting rid of players if they aren't world class straight away. No thought of the consequences financially. It's like disposal razors. If you don't need them throw them away.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 23:31:37
Fair enough Skylark, that's your opinion. let's leave it at that, eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2016 05:21:12
Every club needs that squad player who may play a handful of games at most throughout the season, who won't become that problem child because he ain't playing every week. He's our Alan Harper! You can't have 25 first team players in your squad as that would bring its own problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 22:49:55
agreed ed and I don't condone what he did whatsoever. As I said, I'm not his biggest fan either but it just seems to give the doom and gloom merchants something to moan about! The only surprise is that nobody seems to be blaming BK for this :)
Giving Gibson a new deal is hardly showing the intentions of what Moshiri wants to do with the club, I'm sure he will endeavour to bring in players of better quality but we will still need players with experience of both being at Everton and playing in this league. For me he will be no more than a squad player, not worth the adverse reactions I have seen already ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the doom merchants will always moan spud, it seems that all clubs have them mate not just everton, darron was a curve ball i never seen coming but the decision has been made and thats it, there are great times on the horizon and we should all be very happy..

09 Jun 2016 18:54:50
Does anyone else think the delay is purely just waiting for Koeman to finish his final few days on the beach so they can announce him in front of the camera with Bill an Farhad rather than just release a statement?

Believable5 Unbelievable2

09 Jun 2016 21:54:26
Absolutely.

Agree1 Disagree1

09 Jun 2016 18:45:07
Regarding the injuries that Gibson and others in the squad have suffered during the past few seasons (especially hamstrings) , there's a school of thought that the fitness coach (Jan Kluitenberg) that Ronald Koeman brings in as part of his back room staff will bring a marked improvement in prevention and recovery.
Here's hoping :-)

Believable5 Unbelievable0

09 Jun 2016 21:52:55
Does he deliver Drink/ Drive awareness courses as well? Gibson should have been binned after that.

Agree0 Disagree2

09 Jun 2016 22:04:48
I hope so. Besic has struggled so badly under Martinez that I worry we might never see the best of him.

Gibson has always had this tendancy though even at United and was the main reason we got him for 500k.

He's rated in the game as a really good midfielder but his injuries have hampered him. His off field problems have not helped either.

Agree1 Disagree1

09 Jun 2016 16:02:32
i am quite pleased that gibbo has signed a extension as i feel on his day he is the best passer of a long ball at the club he can pick a player out no matter what the distance and is always looking for the forward ball only for his injuries he definitely would have been a first teamer imo.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

09 Jun 2016 17:39:44
HI I don't think this post will be popular but i think this is positive news Gibson 2 year extension I think this is Koeman influenced if he can sort his head out I think Gibson could be up with the best c mid in the premiership thgfes.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

09 Jun 2016 18:06:54
Agreed, I'm happy he's being kept. Quality if he gets going. Just needs luck. God knows he is due some.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 18:38:23
I wouldn't go as far as that but it's good news. He is a good player but his injuries are terrible and renders him useless for most of the season. If we can get him injury free for 75% then I'll be happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 21:29:20
It's not his head that needs sorting thg it's his knees iam happy to see him stay think he's a good squad player always wants the ball and try's to make things happen and won't brake the bank.

he's too old at 31.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 18:44:11
He's a good striker, not amazing but he is experienced. We would also get him reletively cheaply as he's 30 and in the final year of his contract.

We need numbers up front and spending little on him means more to spend on Lukaku's potential replacement.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 19:42:54
very good player great in air.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 16:06:33
Players that need to go

Piennar although Koeman has worked with him before
Hibbert- coaching role
Kone not good enough but as with piennar
Lukaku- burning his bridges, plus we would fetch 60m+
And with that added to our cash injection there is better for value somewhere else

Players in

Yarmolenko - where he was a Martinez target or not this guy is class and if we can get him at 25m we should we lack creativity final pass player

Van djke- we need a centre half regardless if stones goes or not he would be the obvious choice now but I wanted him before saints got him

I also think we need a centre midfielder to pass quicker someone like Gibson but that plays

We need a striker if not 2 depending on Lukaku
For far too long we have relied on Lukaku and Barkley for goals talk about fatigue they played every game we also have to look at 2 striker we already have bought but yet seen the Swiss lad and Rodriguez now the first is going to euros so it's fair to say we should see him a lot next year.
The big plus for me this season came on the last game when dowell and Davis played wow I had saw dowell play but not Davis I was told he was a player to watch out for but sure we will see these 2 emerging soon, I'm a lot more upbeat about next season than I was few months ago.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

09 Jun 2016 16:33:33
Interesting thoughts, but we must bear in mind the permitted Premier League squad size. Even allowing for out-of contract players (Hibbert, Osman, Pienaar and Mattioni) not being included, we still currently have the maximum allowed of 25.
If, as you suggest, Lukaku and Kone move on, that does create slots for Yarmolenko and van DIjk. However, any other incoming aged-over-21 players would have to be balanced by others in the current 25 being moved out (permanently or on season-long loans) . Our youngsters - the likes of Davies, Dowell, Tarashaj, etc, - still qualify as under-21 and don't yet have to named in the 25-player squad.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thanks for the info sid..

09 Jun 2016 16:05:35
How can Gibson sign an extension, koeman might no want him?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

09 Jun 2016 16:49:03
obviously Koeman does want him.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 15:45:19
Now that Gibson has signed a contract extension - and assuming that Hibbert, Osman, Pienaar and Mattioni leave as has Howard - we will still have 25 aged over-21 players (including those returning from long-term loans and those youngster who've now turned 21) :
Robles, Coleman, Baines, Oviedo, Jagielka, Mori, McCarthy, Barry, Gibson, Besic, Cleverley, Barkley, Lennon, Mirallas, Lukaku, Kone, Niasse, Rodriguez, Garbutt, McGeady, McAleny, Stones, Deulofeu, Browning and Pennington.
So, if we sign any aged-over-21 players, then we'll have to move some players out (permanent transfers or season-long loans) in order to keep to the 25-player limit for the registered Premier League aged-over-21 squad.
Other players - like Davies, Dowell, Kenny, Tarashaj, etc. - are still classified as after under 21 for the coming season.

I find this decision pretty peculiar. Gibo is a complete sick note. Even when he played he was nothing special. His performance for the republic of ireland below par. Only a couple of weeks ago he got completely schooled by the Belarus midfield. Then ommited from the squad.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 16:56:53
How can you say he's nothing special? He is a great player - complete midfielder. Yes he's had a lot of problems off the pitch which I sincerely hope he gets over.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - truth is pedro hes a decent player but a liability with all the injuries he has had, i feel for the guy but carrying passengers will win you nothing mate..

09 Jun 2016 17:16:41
I know where everyone is coming from regarding his lack of appearances, but to say he's nothing special? I certainly wouldn't want him if he was a passenger, but I'm hoping that he has overcame his problems and the club believe he has a role to play in the future. I personally hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2016 06:32:00
In reply to the OP, I doubt Kone and McGeady will still be there at the start of next season. If Niasse is as poor in training as we are led to believe, I doubt he will be registered and will shipped out either on loan or full transfer at a loss. Not sure Leandro Rodriguez will make it and he may be loaned out or moved on. I also doubt that there is a place for McAleny now. There are better, younger prospects (Davies, Dowell) who can play in his position. Assuming we keep our other players including Lukaku, that gives us 4-5 spaces for new signings.

09 Jun 2016 15:07:41

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 15:08:26
I kinda feel that too john but maybe for different reasons. We all know koeman is earmarked for the top jobs around Europe so might only be with us for a year or two. i can't see any top dollar business man settling for that. Yeah yeah we are on the rise and all but when ronaldo left man u for Madrid utd where at the height of there powers no matter how big we get or how high we rise if Barcelona or whoever come a calling koeman will be off.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 15:16:08
I'm chilled and not panicking but didn't someone say a week ago he'd be signed by the end of the weekend. Was it BK or someone like that, forget where I saw it. Now its next week its going to be announced.

I'm not complaining just simply saying there is some reason for it. Let it be good or bad. They are not delaying the announcement for the sake of it. I don't really buy that it's because he's on holiday.

I know they would want to unveil him but could they not announce it publicly while he's on holiday surely. Then have an unveiling when he gets back.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2016 14:30:44
chill John, he will be announced shortly after he's back from hols. there's no rush to announce it yet either. Talks are more than likely happening behind the scenes between them with respect to future signings coaches etc.

Sign Rooney? Well there goes the 100 million in one go. Signing on fee = 10%. Probable fee around 30 million (ish. Wages 12 million a year. He would want 3 year deal min. So that is 30 + 3 + 36 = 69 million. then agents fees. add ons etc. Who shall we sign with the few quid left over? lol.

I would like to add another word, phrase or statement to the list. "statement of intent" God it gets on my wick. If anyone knows Farhad or anyone close to him who can tell him this. Shoot of an email to all clubs in the Premiership, with the title. STATEMENT OF INTENT! Then with with following.

I Farhad Moshiri, multi billionaire majority holder of Everton (just incase you haven't read any of the news recently) would just like to make it official.

IM COMING FOR YOU!

Hope you have a good season (but not as good as mine) Bantssssss.

Lots of love

See you at the next general meeting.
