Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

09 Jul 2012 23:06:42
I'm sick and tired at the moment of other PL teams not taking us seriously. They (the fans) all seem to think that we wre a mid table team that are only capable of finishing 8th or 9th. Some fans have gone as far as saying that Everton are a small club. I've even heard fans calling Moyes a bad manager.
I feel that this season, with more signings to come, we have the best squad of the Moyes era. I think that this season is a great opportunity to prove to fans of the other 19 teams that we are force to be reckoned with and that we will push the supposed 'big clubs' for European spots (in which I think we will be successful in doing). This is a chance for Moysey to prove to these critics (however small a minority they may be) that he is a fantastic manager by guiding us to glory, whether it be in the Premier League or in a domestic cup. Finally, it the chance to shake off the dogs from across the park off our legs and leave them behind as the gap between the 2 Merseyside clubs widens in our ascent.

J.D {Ed025's Note - nice post jd..

Believable5 Unbelievable1

That suits me that we're not being taken seriously but don't read to much into it if you listen to what the other managers say about everton it's all positive we probably cost utd the title last year. But I agree I believe the gap has broken I see Manchester coming 1st and 2nd and then who knows Chelsea although won champ league they are not the force they were prem is a long old season so I can't see them winning it arsenal well I would of said they will push on this season with the 2 signings and Whiltshire back but rvp will be massive damage to there season. Spurs are a different why did they sack Harry for he finished 4th and that was with a awful record in last couple months but I believe it was a blip and they ran out of gas but Rednapp would of bought a few more class players and challenged again but not now real pressure on avb to finish top 4 but think they will not have a great season. Newcastle were the surprise package last season and I believe they will be a threat with the strikers they have. Liverpool not saying which brings me to mighty Everton after a usual routine start to the season (bad) we started around christmas and were the form side beating the top sides as well only had one low point in that spell which came at the semi final but was pleased with are results and performances with new recruits such as Gibson Jelavic pienaar already stamping there authority in the team we have also added Naismith lets hope pienaar deal gets sorted soon, and moyes is not finished there as he looks to push on we have real goal threat which is we're we fall short I'm backing us for at least a top 6 finish and a trophy. Here is my prediction table

1.man city
2.man utd
3.chelsea
4.arsenal
5.everton
6.newcastle
7.liverpool
8.spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know what you expect mate until we get money we will always be looked on as just a mid table club punching above our weight, and plus we sell our best players nearly every year, so i can see why we're looked on the way we are it does not personally bother me though what other fans think, and it shouldn't you either. Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a simple answer to this that works in your favour - the lower other people view us then the higher are our betting odds for finishing top 6 or top 4 etc - you can get something like 20 to 1 on a top 4 finish on betfair - which I've stuck 20 on - and I also got 7 to 1 on a top 6 finish which I stuck more on ;) so if you really think we're better than other people are seeing, which we definitniely are, stick some money on us for a top 6 finish!

if you took it from january transfer window we finished I think something like 3rd (?) and we've aded in Naismith - quality player - plus I can see another couple of decent players coming - on the wings - and then we'll have a real quality team front to back - we were purring towards the end of last season

it's actually not surprising that our odds are too high - most people (inc me) mostly just concentrate on their own team and doin't pay much attention to other teams - so they won't have noticed how good our team is starting to look

so it's a good time to stick some wedge on!

Get ready for a rant...

So, I think that the Scottish FA to rule out players transfers is ridiculous, do they seriously think the the likes of Naismith would want to play in the second division? They are fine with rangers, one of scotlands biggest squads getting voted out, but not with players leaving and going to English clubs. The players have all signed contracts with there new clubs and haven't got a contract with 'newco' does that count for anything? I hope FIFA get it sorted, there will be an uprall if they take players from there clubs, not just with the clubs but with the players. Also, if the players went back to rangers, it would be unfair in the division two sides because they were 1st and 2nd every year in there top league.

So to my earlier question... Does the contract with the players new club count for anything? I seriously hope so, be gutted if Naismith goes back................

TC {Ed025's Note - theres no way tc...our legal team would not allow him to sign if it was dodgy...they are professionals..

Right, i know there has been a few rumours circulating about this Oscar Cardozo lad and I have looked into it. According to Talk s**te (Talk Sport) Everton are reportedly lining up a £16 million bid for him. Now, the only way this could be possible for Everton to raise these funds are: 1.) Blue Bill has robbed a bank. Or 2.) The board has finally put their hands in their very deep pockets and invested some money in the club after the scare of almost losing David Moyes to Spurs. Of course, as everyone knows, Talk Sport isn't the most of reliable sources but the thing i did find interesting is that on a Portuguese football website (can't quite remember the name) which mainly focuses on the likes of Benfica and Porto, are very strongly indicating that Cardozo is leaving and would relish the opportunity for a move to the EPL. That is all.

P.S: I'll try to remember the website name so you can all have a look for yourselves, plus it helps if you use translate. ;)

Believable1 Unbelievable1

There is a third possibility re funds for a big incoming transfer: we're reinvesting the funds from a big outgoing transfer. Hope not - I don't want to lose any of our top players. I don't think I'll ever feel as bad about EFC as when we transferred Alan Ball (forty years ago, but still absolutely gutted) but acting as a feeder club to MUFC (or whoever) would be just as bad I think.

How long do we expect the problem with the newco and the international clearence issues to go on for? Will Naismith not beable to take part in any friendlies to its sorted?

We can get a temporary registration until FIFA rule on the matter and as FIFA haven't received anything yet t will be a while before they do rule on it.

Not a clairvoyant but just a feeling in the air that we are going to be pleasantly surprised over the next few weeks. Our best players will stay and I think we might see not only Piennar back but one other money signing. My wish for the season...that however it goes, Moysey will put on a smile at the press conferences....the journalists are only doing their job and although I dont expect our manager to be as open as Harry always was with the press at Spurs, there were times last season when you just felt sorry for the guys asking questions who were getting the Moyse glare....at times it was embarrassing to watch. So come on Moysey....lets see those white teeth more often. {Ed025's Note - your right mate...the R/S fans must have been cringing when KD was giving those press conferences , so smug, and condescending...i hope moyes does not get like that..

Did we sell lundstram ? and any news on dier coming back both look good for england under 19s {Ed025's Note - lundstram is still a blue, and dier has gone back to portugal..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That Lundstram lad looks like he is going to be a very good player for us in the future, hopefully we can see a bit of him this season (probably towards the end of the season) because against France he looked neat and tidy in possession and scored an absolutely cracking goal.

Hopefully in a couple years we get to see a midfield consisting of Barkley, Lundstram and Rodwell, and we can show off to other teams how good our academy is.

I don't know the legal intricacies of the employment law (TUPE?) re the Rangers players' contracts, but if the newco expect to hold the players to their previous contracts then they should bloody well pay the full debts of the old company as well. Talk about wanting to have your cake and eat it! I sympathise with the Rangers fans - its not their fault that the previous owners screwed up the club's finances. I'm just glad - along with what others have said - that Everton are managed with financial prudence - even if it's frustrating not to be able to compete for the signatures of high-fee high-wage top players.

I just want to put the baines rumours to bed once and for all. Moyes has never, and I repeat never lied to us fans. In the Naismith press conference he said he would try and get Pienaar in and hinted new faces would be arriving. If we had to sell a big name to make this happen he would of said "but I need to raise the funds"
Lescott was sold because he forced it, as with Arteta, I don't see Baines doing the same. Bottom line is Moyes will refuse approaches like with Lescott and unless Baines hands in a request he will stay. If Baines hands in a request them good riddance and good luck, thanks for the job you did we will find some other nobody from Wigan or somewhere and turn him in to a gem. However I can't see Baines doing this.
So in conclusion twitter, and the only strong rumours have come from bloody twitter and the mirror can say what they want I trust Moyes and Baines and it's a no go, mark my words.
So let's see a couple more signings and a Baines free kick to win the opener and shut everyone up.

I guess we will never understand all managerial decisions.....many of us in the Gladys Street groaned inwardly when Gordon Lee chose efficiency (Jim Pearson) over grace (Duncan McKenzie). Even Howard put a one-paced centre back, Slaven Bilic in midfield at Arsenal and we got hit for six, and Moysey let Stubbsey be ruthlessly exposed as a midfield filler in a first half 3rd round FA Cup tie against Norwich at Goodison. But I am sure all Everton fans will be hoping that against United at home, with a cracking atmosphere, we set out our stall for the season and play with a spirit of adventure and belief that our time has come and that, not only can we take on the best, but we can play with a style wothy of the school of science. {Ed025's Note - good post mate...

If Baines decides to go then thats his choice, but as far as im concerned if he leaves he is a judas and i will never support him again, included if he then starts playing for england. I feel if baines goess then this is the biggest kick in the balls to everton. Far worse than losing rooney, lescott and arteta. This bloke is an evertonian and if he wants to move away from us when we look to be improving then good riddance, i never thought i would be saying this but im not happy if he goes. Robbymac {Ed025's Note - bit harsh that robby...i dont believe he wants to go, but if the club wants rid...theres not much he can do mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable15

Your pathetic if your a real Everton fan you wouldn't be talking like that about Baines, and if he does go it will be cos the club wants the money more than him wanting to leave.

Am I the only one who thinks that we need a right back? With all respect to Hibbert, we need more quality here as Neville is getting older.

Howard
NewRB Jags Heitinga Baines
Naismith Rodwell/Osman Gibson Fellaini Pienaar
Jelavic

Who do you think we should get as right back to further develope into a new Baines on the right side? Richard Keogh, Clyne or?

My pick: Nathaniel Clyne

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Coleman will also be used as RB and alternatives could be Kyle Naughton and Chris Gunter. Clyne and Gunter should be affordable as Spurs would deamnd a high fee for Kyle. Would vote for Clyne.

Regarding the assault charge against Steven Pienaar in South Africa, he was released on warning and his case was postponed to 6th September. Anyone know any more? Good news is we have no league games between 1st September and 17th September, so he shouldn't miss those once he (hopefully) joins. Baines is a fantastic player but we played the last few games of the season without him and we were still playing excellent. My point is that even without Baines,we are still a very good team and the money that we would receive would allow us to improve the side in other areas. Although I would like us to keep Baines if he does go Everton will move on and get a young left back as Ed says that we can turn into a star, personally I wouldnt mind Emilio Izaguirre at Celtic as he has a similar playing style to Baines.

@vassclass87 {Ed025's Note - we will be playing with one up front, and he would not play ahead of the jellyfish, i dont think he would have been happy on the bench, so lowered his sights..

A bit out of the blue but, when i was 11, a few years back I lived in Spain and was quite good at playing football (considered the next "Fernando Hierro", i even got into the Real Madrid academy, this meant i got 2 free season tickets, so me and my dad went all time, my dad knew players such as De La Red and Granero who played for the Real Madrid B team. i was a centre-back, but sadly 2 years ago after i moved back i got an injury that shattered any hope of having a professional career, whilst i was playing for Everton's academy against Leyton Orient's academy in a friendly ,...anyway Granero always used to say he'd love a move to the Prem if he didnt make the final step and become a starting 11 player for Madrid, and with the Red s**te having been unsucessful for the past 2 transfer windows, this could pave way for a season-long loan in the Prem. Would be a great addition to the starting 11, and could make way for Timmy to seal a move to his Homeland. what does everyone think?

Great player but too much money to buy and Madrid won't let him go on loan

The smell of expectation for the top six for the last few seasons is in the air when we make our usual poor start, not scoring and losing games to a singlem goal. and the occasional hammering from Arsenal ( which erks me to mention but its relevant )

The smell of fear is when we start the season like we ended it last season and the top six, or even the top 4 start to worry that thier closed shop opens for trade...

and that is how it will be this year...

The summers recruitment of quality players is well underway, with DM expecting more and naming Pienaar in the process with such confidence.

It will make a very proud Evertonian a very happy one when we get off to a flyer which I am starting to believe and be more certain about. Especially when I see our Daveys face with that same grin on his face that he had when Jelly got his first strike agains the spuds.

The smell of fear can be found not around the streets of Goodison but in the away dressing room in Goodison, or the home dressing room across the park.

Bring on the season lads, i am sure we will have something great to shout about this year...
