Bill Kenright is to fund money for new balls next season. Seems this is all we can afford at the moment. Championship here we come {Ed025's Note - dont be so negative we are top 6 material...just with what we have got..

Ed can you please not approve this type of absolute garbage..

poster you have no right to call yourself a supporter with this type of loyalty. You know what if we did go down (which i would bet my life we wont) i would still support everton just as much as i do now. {Ed001's Note - people have a right to express their opinion, just as you have a right to gloat when they are wrong with their pessimistic projection.}

2 decent attacking signings and we would be looking at top 6, we need to keep on with our good form of the second half of last season and then we will have a decent season. We are established top 7 and i believe we can challenge for 6th place if moyes can do a bit of wheeling and dealing

Firstly to everyone who is saying we should sell rodwell or fellani, why would we?
Selling one of our best players would be a stupid idea if we are trying to get a top six finish next season. These are the players we need to build our team around. Out of Baines, Cahill, Fellani, Rodwell, Jagielka and Arteta the only one I would think about selling is Arteta, because he is injury prone but he would bring in around 12 million.
With that money we could bring in N'Zogbia or Keisuke Honda to replace him. Then if we can buy a striker like Long who will work his ass off every game we will be sorted.
Another thing we should be doing is building up our squad. Bring in Upson or Woodgate on free transfers and sign a few players on loan. Every team needs a big squad to compete for trophys and if we have a good season by finishing in the top six and maybe winning the FA cup we will probaly attract investors which will let us buy players to compete for a top four finish the following season. {Ed025's Note - good post mate...some great points..

Ideal scenario is for us to sign nzogbia and defoe Top 4 finish would be quite likely, especially if felli stays fit Coyb {Ed025's Note - i agree mate

I agree too, we have some excellent players and if we add a couple of quality attacking players in the summer we can surprise a few people next season. The signs were there this season with great victories over chelsea, spurs, city and the red s***e

everybodys giving bill kenwright stick for not pumping in any money.well instead why dont we do a protest outside goodison? why dont we get kenwright out the board, if he loves everton the way he says he does why doesnt he give us money.we had no confidence in peter johnson he went finally, its time for kenwright to go.i want everton back to what they were like in the 80's.but one thing is for sure everton will win that premier league before the red sh**e do. {Ed025's Note - i dont think BK , would listen anyway..im sure he knows the feelings of the fans.....hopefully..we will get some investment...and he can concentrate on his entrepeneurial skills.

We have to be patient and accept that apart from a winger we are fairly well stocked - unless DM/BK can offload yak, Billy or Heitinga which seems unlikely as there are clearly no takers.
Looking on the positive side however - if we do get unlucky with injuries again, it gives opportunities for some of our excellent youngsters to come through. If we take on more than one additional player - how and when will these excellent prospects get a chance?how often does a player returning from a loan spell get a chance? Answer apart from Osman - never.
With our obvious money problems we have to build through our youth. The more we give them opportunities - the more good new youngsters will want to join our great team.
Lastly - fantastic idea to take the youngsters with the first team on pre season. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..i would like a signing..or 2 but its nice to seethe kids coming through,

----fox----

Rodellega after coming out and saying Everton are after him, he would cost approx £9m. As i was saying before Everton have approx £12m before they sell.

N'Zogbia is not the number 1 target but Djalo and Defour, its possible Everton using N'Zogbia as a smoke screen when their real intention in Djalo, we all know how some managers (certain spurs manager) seem to bid for any player Moyes has scouted.

Moyes met with the board in May and got reassurances about the £12m thats why he was never once fav for the villa job. The reason theres been no activity is its bis money signings that will be coming when Yobo and Yak are moved on.

Have a bit of paitence blue noses {Ed025's Note - well said

Right Blues we have Rodwell, Arteta, Baines, Jagielka and Fellaini we no one has to go personally it has to be Rodwell its ok selling fringe players but its never going to move us forward, so we need to sell Rodwell for around 20-25m and use the money from other sales to buy N'zogbia before someone else does and if that doesnt happen we need our Landon back i dont care if hes 29 he still has 5 years in him and would only be 10m which leaves us with about 15-20m to get a out and out goalscorer, also i no Bilyaletdinov has impressed all of us but we still should keep him and if we play him play in a more centre attacking role but the only way we will go forward is by selling one of the big boys and out of the list it has to be Rodwell, And just so people no we only need to sell one of the big boys because of pienaar think about it if he stayed we would only need a striker which we could of funded with fringe player cash but because he left for a very low price of 3m when he was worth about 10m and i no he only had 1 year left on his contract but hes 10x the player Bilyaletdinov is an we payed 10m for him right but anyway we got 3m for him there is no left mid in the world that could replace pienaar for 3m so F**K him hes the reason we have to sell but its not just his fault i do blame big bill for not giving us at least 10-15m to throw around before sales

I think you need to go to school a bit more sonny Jim. You'd learn the proper use of punctuation and basic spelling. {Ed025's Note - this is not an educational centre...say what you like...when you like..how you like!!

Oh and Pienaar had only 6 months left on his contract. The club is at fault. He wanted parity with Arteta's contract, which in my opinion, wasn't too much to ask. Piennar was much more valuable to us and deserved what he was asking for. {Ed025's Note - i beg to differ..arteta, is far more important, than piennar was..he will prove vital this year.

It looks like Aston Villa have all but signed Shay Given and are on the verge of completing a transfer for Charles N'Zogbia. And Red s**te are also set to stop bidding for Downing and make an approach for N'Zogbia.

Well done Everton. There's another player we aren't going to get. {Ed001's Note - Liverpool have bid for Bastos, not N'Zogbia.}

Sky sports news reports this morning that Sunderland are in for N'zogbia & Defoe , Stoke going for Carlton cole and everton puttin a massive bid in for the invisible man I know you say be patient ed, moyesy knows what's what etc and I agree to a point BUT if this carries on any longer Sunderland are gonna need 2 team buses and our lot can get a cab to away games. This lack of transfer activity is doing nothing for supporter morale, I really do hope moyesy pulls a rabbit from a hat before pre season games coz I'm sick of the red s**te giving us stick over it. {Ed025's Note - i know mate...we need to sign some body...anybody...come on everton,,,,give your loyal supporters a boost!!!

As an Everton fan this really frustrates me Why sign a goalkeeper who will only be a backup to one of the most consistent performers over the last few seasons (Tim Howard). I understand that the club has very little transfer funds available but there are still players out there who would cost very little. Matthew Upson - free transfer, offer Owen Hargreaves a pay-as-you-play deal, Wright-Phillips (4m), Seb Larsson was available on a free, DJ Campbell (1.25m) and the list goes on Agreed these players will not set the world alight but when Everton suffer injuries (which more than often they do) they would be more than effective. The club must change their transfer policy or risk falling behind other clubs in the race for Europa League places. {Ed025's Note - agree with a lot of it....but your valuations are too low.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Because it means that we can pass on Mucha and make a little bit more cash as Lonergan isnt going to cost much and is much better than mucha in my opinion

Moyes will have a fully fit squad for next season. We battled with injuries last season, if we can steer clear of injuries this season, moyes will have some selection dilemmas especially in midfield where we are overstocked for players especially if we end up signing a winger. Maybe we could sacrifice rodwell and use that money to boost our attacking options. The rodwell money could pay for long and n'zogbia. {Ed025's Note - good shout

What happens when the inevitable injuries occur? {Ed025's Note - thats why we need to sign someone...and quick!!

Whats with all red sh%te putting comments on here ? They call us bitter when they have fans that search for everton chat forums and pages like this one and put comments on I would never dream of going to a liverpool page and writing comments I suppose that just proves that everton fans have a bit more class than them lot As for money they have wasted (yet again) on lanky chavs with pony tails and over rated midfielders like some geordie called jordan, im loving it, wait till moyesy spends less than half they have spent on 2 or 3 gems and turns them into better players than any of there 20-30 million pound signings. I would rather be a blue anyday and do things like we do with integrity then sell our soul's like them lot have They will be in debt again in a couple of years and i'l be laughing all the way Fancy getting rid of two yanks that nearly destroyed the club then get two more to take over ha ha ha ha EVERTON FC 1878 WE WERE HERE FIRST THIS CITY'S ALL OURS...... F**K OFF TO NORWAY THIS CITY'S ALL OURS...... Back to europe this year blue fans, get a striker and we'l can do it, even if we have the same team as last season i still think we'l be pushing up there for europe COYB {Ed025's Note - the plain fact..is that they are jealous....that we represent the city,as a club with working class roots,one that doe not need, bundles of cash to survive, but one that flourishes in the face of adversity..we may be the poor relations on merseyside..but we have an honesty, and integrity...that is envied by many....but shared by few..
