I think Gibson is buy of the year, followed by jelly. What a midfielder he is. Bit like lee carsley does all the dirty work and let's everyone else get the glory but will pop up with an important goal or 2 {Ed025's Note - your right fella...he is so un-selfish, he works tirelessly for the team and adds a bit of steel to the midfield, he has been a great addition, him, jelly and peanuts have turned our season around..

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Gibson is a future captain

Agree0 Disagree0

Gibson has been terrific for us. The potential he has (only 24), could turn out to be Moyes' best transfer, and that is saying something considering Moyes' history with transfers, still cannot believe, in the current state of the transfer market, we found a lad who has played in massive games for United (I mean scored in a Champs Legaue semi), only 24 and an international for 500K!!! Unbelievable piece of business by Moyes.

ed why does steve round do a lot of te post match interviews? {Ed025's Note - i really dont know mate..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

At the moment it's somthing to do with a media ban on the players, apparently after the Norwich game the only interview was done by Phil Neville for everton tv and nothing else, Davey himself doesn't want to get drawn into anything

I have to admit I thought we would put a weakend side out today and get beat, but I was well wrong there, What I was most surprised about was how good out football was without bainesy, thought we would struggle to break them down and wouldn't have a way of getting it into the box without him but the football we played was brilliant. Its a relief to know that if something was to happen to him we would survive without him. wembley next lads!
COYB!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

----------Howard--------
Neville-Heitinga-Distin-Baines
Osman-Felliani-Gibson-Drenthe
-----------Cahill---------
----------Jellyfish-------

Agree0 Disagree0

In that squad swap drenthe for gueye. Drenthe can just come on for the last 30 mins and run the kopites sh**less

Jagielka - quality
Heitinga - player of the season
Distin - consistant
Drenthe - attatck minded
Gueye - in form
Jelavic - scores goals
Cahill - threat to liverpool
Osman play maker
Fellaini - composed
Gibson - sits back

Good luck with that Moyes

Just saying McFadden played well...

Believable4 Unbelievable2

He was pretty good, the guy was better when he was behind the striker as he is a little one footed but none the less a good cover player.

McFadden played well, but on comes Drenthe quickens the pace and we get 3 COYB

everybody wanting us to rest alot of our better players today, and if we do we will lose, then we will all be moaning on here if the rs win 2moro and go above us, we need to win and keep up the momentum

Believable2 Unbelievable2

09 Apr 2012 12:41:36
Still desperate for a couple of semi final tickets. HELP!! BlueTone

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Apr 2012 12:41:05
to be honest obviously its nice to win , but its more important today to avoid injuries .
If all available my starting xi would be
Mucha,Neville,Duffy,Jagielka,Hibbert,Rodwell , Gueye, Drenthe, Pienaar, Barkley, Straq., & Vellios or Anichebe

P.S ... Anyone got a final ticket for sale ??

Believable0 Unbelievable1

That lineup??? no chance mate, we will get beat, we need to win today simply because we could end up sliping 3-4 places if we dont, we have 5 days until the semis so lets concentrate on winning this game first.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Apr 2012 12:22:39
hopefully blackburn can do us a favour and kick sxxt out of saurez and gerrard, hense them missin game on sat, blackburn very physical side who are desperate for points

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I want gerrard and suarez to both play, no excuses from the red shi@e then when we beat them

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather then not play, so we can actually beat then :S

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Apr 2012 11:32:03
Would people want Baines to get his 100th full consecutive game today, or would you like him rested so close to that milestone? {Ed025's Note - rest him..i dont want a stupid sending off or an injury, wrap all the guys in cotton wool i say..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Lucky to be available for this match really, could have easily been sent off against Norwich, made 3 very silly tackles.

I too would rest him against Sunderland, can't risk him missing the Semis because he is our only LB in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland fan here, hope you do rest your better players as we might actually have a chance to beat you.lol I also hope you do rest your players and beat liverpool so you take that european spot of the geordie scum by making it to the final.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Apr 2012 10:30:42
I just can't wait for the final whistle today. I know this game is important, as they all are, but I just want to know who's going to be fit and available for Saturday.
Hopefully no injuries or silly sendings off today leaving Moyes with a fully fit and avilable squad to play the RS with. No repeats of 2009 when Jags got injured and missed the final.

Behind Blue Eyes

Believable1 Unbelievable0

09 Apr 2012 09:33:22
The kind of team Sunderland are i am expecting them to kick us everywhere today, the last few times iv'e saw them vs Newcastle, Liverpool, us twice, Tottenham they are a proper dirty side, not physical, actually dirty so i would make sure the likes of Baines, Fellaini, Gibson, Jelavic aren't on the park. The semi final is far too important for a fake geordie to spoil it by injuring one of our key players {Ed025's Note - rest the lot for me...we own sunderland anyway...if we beat them today, we can take them home, and put them on the mantelpiece....lol

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I agree. There's a few players in their team who will see this as a chance to exact some revenge after we humiliated them in the quarter final. I can think of a few of their players who will go out to try and ruin the last few weeks of the season for one or two of our players.

Behind Blue Eyes

Agree0 Disagree0

Dirty side? are you for real, dirty side is stoke, newcastle ect..., sunderland work hard and close down, you lot are not exactly a clean side, heard baines should of got sent off at norwich!

Agree0 Disagree0

So your telling me Cattermole is not a dirty player? Even Larsson is a sly player, i watched you lot against Newcastle and our arch enemy Liverpool and then against us twice! Your players do work hard granted, but don't half make some silly challenges and late tackles!!
I for one would defo not let Baines, Fellaini, Jelavic and co anywhere near the Sunderland team

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Apr 2012 09:28:51
Just a thought, if Drenthe is fit and in the squad today could be worth playing him Left Back!?
Out of all our players Baines is the one i'd be gutted about if he was to get a injury or sending off today!
Without Pienaar in the semi he is our main source of creativity and very dangerous with set pieces!!
Wouldn't be bothered if Moyes rested a few today.
Cahill, Jelavic, Gibson, Distin or Heitinga, Baines, maybe even Fellaini.
Coyb! Massive week this!!!!!!!!!

Howard

Hibbert Jagileka Heitinga Drenthe

Coleman Osman Gibson Pienaar

Anichebe Straqualersui

?? Something like that, league is important for momentum and making sure we finish high but the semi final with it being a derby is the biggest game we have had for years!! People will talk about it lkike the way they talk about the last one 22 years ago!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Drenthe as LB? Have you seen his idea of defending? Would just play Hibbo at RB and Nev at LB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Drenthe has played left back before and he is pretty decent because he has no choice but to stay back in position, he also has the energy to get up and down the flank to go on the over lap. I actually think if he played there because his mentality will be "i am playing left back" he will stay there and when he goes forward he knows he has to race back in position, the problem when he plays left wing is that he thinks he doesn't need to race back and support Baines at left back because his mentality is "why should i?"
Having said that i don't think Moyes will entertain the idea of playing him there anyway!! ha

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair Drenthe was signed by Madrid as a left back

i no it sounds a bit far fetched but i think we are going to wipe their bottoms on Saturday. Don't no why but i have a feeling it's going to be a high scoring game with us coming out on top 3 - 1 y0rksh1re_blue {Ed025's Note - that would be nice..

Can anyone shed any light on the Donovan/Nike rumours that are going round at the moment? I've heard a few times now that as part of the Nike kit deal Donovan is to sign permanently in the summer; something to do with him being sponsored by Nike ?

Behind Blue Eyes {Ed025's Note - first iv heard mate..

Team i would love to see next season:

Howard
Hibbert
Heitinga
Albiol
Baines
Farfan
Gibson
Fellaini
Pienaar
Dempsey
Jelavic

Bench... Mucha/New GK, Duffy, Pranjic/Neville, Osman/Barkley, Gueye/Coleman, Vellios, Anichebe.... Would also like to see Junior get a few games.

Outs:
Rodwell 10-15m
Jags 10m
Distin free(hope he signs new contract but you never no)

Ins:
Albiol 7m(euros)
Farfan(free)
Pienaar 3m
Dempsey 8m
Pranjic(free)

Would also like to point out this is a side i said i would love to see not a side i think that is going to happen. {Ed025's Note - that would be a great everton side mate....but as much as i like hibbo...he stands out like a sore thumb in that side..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And swap Albiol for vertonghen or kjaer, albiols slower than me the morning after a night on the lash great positionally but also poor in the air

Agree0 Disagree0

Distin has signed a new contract already mate. Jagielka on his day is one of the best english centre halfs in the country, he hasn't been special this season and heitinga and Distin have but sell jags! No way! {Ed025's Note - i would not sell him either!...still quality in my eyes..

Agree0 Disagree0

Distin and Jagielka are better than Albiol, would be a waste of money

I find it unbelievable that people wouldn't take balotelli on loan (I'm not saying we will get him btw). the guy has only ever been under two managers; mankini and moriniho, both of wich are just massive ego's and couldn't deal with a player like that. david moyes on the other hand can, just look how he's delt with drenthe ffs! look at eric cantona under fergie. balotelli will be class, infact there isnt a better player in the world at he's age at the moment, besides I couldn't care less if he's going out doing stupid things, as long as he's playing well and scoring who cares? just because he cant keep a cool head in a city team who are not controlled and just full of ego's doesn't mean he couldn't do well for us anyway, I for one would jump at the chance to bring him in on loan if we ever get the chance!
But anyway rant over.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

The day I wake up n see balotelli in behind jelavic with pienaar one wing and another class player on the other il snap my banjo I'm sure of it, just can't see it happening but would be quality {Ed025's Note - balotelli is certainly a talent...but in our side?..NO..the guy is a complete nutter

Agree0 Disagree0

He is most certainly not the best player of his age at the moment. Just look at Hazard, Muniain, Thiago, James Rodriguez, Schurrle, Gotze, El Shaarawy, Shaqiri - They have all been better than him lately, not denying he is a great player though {Ed025's Note - great talent...but as nutty as a squirrel,s fart!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Bluekippers starting X1:

Stracqualursi

What do you reckon Ed?
Toffeeboy {Ed001's Note - it would make sense to rest Baines I guess, he must be shattered!}
