Also Ed why do we always take players that no one can spell their names
Just googled him and he is only 30 and released by Wolfsburg, as always IMWT
Degsy {Ed025's Note - names that are difficult to spell, is not the end of the world mate....we dont want easily spelt names like henderson downing, or adam.....give me a marouane fellaini any day..

Thomas Hitzlsperger has one of the best left foots I've ever seen. Always reminded me of Jorg Albertz who used to play for Rangers. Can find the net from distance before the keeper even blinks. Not many in the world can match him for pure power. Unlike Jorg, unfortunately Thomas is just an average overall player who has struggled with injuries. However, if he proves his fitness then I would much prefer him to Phil Neville as cover for Gibbo.

I seem to recall him having a cracking left foot while at Villa, scored some belters. Has anyone checked him on Fifa 13? I dare say he'll be another one mis-pronounced by Martin Tyler! Fellay-eeni!

Just watched him for the U21s and he has a long way to go before he should get anywhere near the first team. Saying that nor should Guaye or Velios

I say give him a chance, Moyes has unearthed one or two crackers over the years.
I can still remember in 1983 being amazed when Howard Kendal took a risk on an ageing striker with dodgey knees who no one else wanted. Andy Gray didn't turn out to be that bad did he?
Now before everyone shoots me down in flames for comparing the two players I'm not trying to do that, I'm simply saying give him a chance, you just never know how there things are going to turn out. IMWT.

For anyone to say Thomas Hitzlperger is an average is beyond belief - not many 'average' players have represented Germany.
If he proves his fitness he would certainly improve our present midfield options.

Lol @ checking him on FIFA 13 haha, Cos if he's rubbishe on that he must be crap. I wonder if moyes found out about mirales on FIFA. Djbril cisse is better than jelavic on it

Don't know where they get their ratings. Donovan is an 82 better than our whole squad. The developers/publishers must all be RS supporters me thinks
Agree0

Careful, when I raised the Fifa issue on its release I was hounded. Best not to mention it. Us blues who play it know they must have something against us. On ultimate team, Baines is the only English left back (gold) who is not rare. Cole, Gibbs and K Richardson (yes, Thats right) all are.

Brighten the F**K up Evertonions!!
We've lost one all season, where we where tactically out played and SHOCKING!
Unfortunate against Newcastle, and exposed in defence by Wigan.
We're playing more attacking, stylish football, got more attacking threat then ever before. We've got a left side, a right side, through the middle, long ball and belters from long range!
Why the criticism?
You can't tell me that if we where offered this at the start of the season, we wouldn't have snapped a hand or two?
I think the main problem is now we ARE more attacking, we're not as clinical in defence, because we don't have to be....
Yes we're missing Gibbo. Yes we need a back up. Yes teams are triple marking Felli. Yes decisions haven't gone our way.
But 14 points from 21 - did it not take us half a season to get this far before? (yes I'm exagerating for those that need to go into detail)
I think we need to tidy up the defence but that only happens when your on the back foot....... So let's not get on the back foot = Simple.
We had the best defensive record last season behind MUFC and MCFC (unless I'm mistaken) why where we not top 3 then? = not scoring enough at the other end!!
Lets just enjoy it, we're playing well.......

Top post Doc. Scoring like we do will not only ensure results but it also puts bums on seats. We are a club that need that cash so long live this style of football

I think it's a little too pessimistic to be worrying about our defence right now, and here's why....
Last season after 7 games. 7 points, 7 for and 11 against.
This season after 7 games. 14 points, 14 for and 11 against
Not only are we scoring more but we are conceding less. What we have learned from our defence over the last few seasons is that it gets tighter as the season goes along.
Seriously lads, lets not worry. We are rolling at the moment and we can be even better. Gibbo to come back, maybe ofoe in January and the hammer is in the 21 side tonight.
It all looks pretty great to me

If you want a giggle to cheer yourselves up guys then have a look at the Koppites banter.
They are calling for the guillotine again for a number of heads.
And before the miserable asses come on and post they are not interested, just enjoy the moment as they have taken the Pee outa us for decades.
One poster has even said put a 20 million bid in for Jelavic, he has also stated that why would Jelavic lower himself by signing for Liverpool lol
Give some of them their due though cos some are slating Suarez for that disgraceful comical dive
We are the number one club on Merseyside

If clubs like Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea or Arsenal had had 4 points ripped off them they'd be screaming blue murder and it would be all over the papers - influencing refs in future games.
Everton suffer 4pts lost an there's hardly a peep. Moyes likes to look like he's not a moaner / complainer and hopes the refs wil acknowledge his fairness - but it won't happen - people respond to real pressure - not a few reasonable words of unhappiness.
Come on Moyes do your job and highlight this unfairness - it was hardly even mentioned on Match of the Day - can you imagine that if it had been Manutd?

Apparently Moyes is going to see the chief of referee's this week. Heard it on the radio before. I think it's more to do with the treatment that Fellaini recieves from opposition players, he is targeted now, players stand on him, push him, elbow him wind him up all game. He jumps for a header the lad heads Fellaini shoulder and there whole team screams for a red card!!!! If that's not obvious targeting a player and trying to get him sent off then I don;t know what is!!

Not really Everton related but i could not help my self laughing at Newcastle yesterday.Pardew said Newcastle are in a different league to us you can say that again beneath us they have 3 maybe 4 good players the rest of their squad is average haha its going to cost Mike ashley alot to sack him with his 8 year contract hammered by Utd well it just goes to show one good season with Newcastle and it went to there heads haha they will be lucky to finish in the top 10 this year Pardew is an joke .....If your going to be up there with the big boys you have to be able to compete with them and Newcastle clearly cant last year was a one off for them at least wait till you can do it year in year out before you start comparing Newcastle with the mighty blues you person. rant over stef the blue
