Every evertonians will be made up with new investment and all that not too sure on Martinez yet people taking a pop at him yes sometimes he does do strange decisions but come on some of these players need to pull there wait especially Barkley great going forward then 9 times out of 10 then diesnt want to know leavening it to midfield and defence to sort his mess out love every player that puts that blue jersey on put think it's gone to his head a bit thinks he's the new gazza or best etc couldn't even clean there boots yet?

So Barkley is the player who should shoulder the most blame?

Totally disagree with that. How many goals and assists has Barkley got this season? He's still young and learning. Should be getting encouragement not blame.

The biggest blame so far this season for me lies with Martinez. Yep, brown shoes, phenomenal, whatever you want to call him.

Not so much for his substitution's but for his insistence on playing Howard. How many points did that cost us? That is the player for me that needs to get most of the blame this season.

The dodgy defending by trying to play the ball out of defence clearly increases our chances of conceding. That increased chance of conceding has lead to more goals being leaked.

Can't see how that's Barkley's fault? There are 5 defenders including the goalkeeper plus 2 defensive midfielders. That's 7 defensive players and you decide to blame Barkley for us conceding goals.

I can think of a lot more things and players to blame rather than Barkley. Sorry if I come across personal. I don't mean to be. Just my opinion. Doesn't make it the right one. Just makes it mine.

Listen the buck stops at the manager he trains them he motivates them he drills them on set pieces (or not) he reads the game and decides when and what subs to put on. He's been a PL manager for 7 yrs now! And should be getting it right. We will not progress under him and if the stats are anything to go by we are getting worse. How much time can we give him? None is the answer and need a change now.

So the new owner or should I say invester is to attend the match on Saturday, wonder if Bobby will be sweating then again I'm sure he has already brain washed him that his philosophy is right and everybody else is wrong oh god I think we are stuck with Bobby for a while yet.

Afraid so Stef the blue. I'd imagine he's here until the summer at least. He may start the new season. Giving him the money in the summer wouldn't be that bad of a thing as his recruitment has been good.

But would rather see a new manager spend the money to build his own team whoever it may be.

As the comment below says about building the house. Martinez could be here until October or November. I expect December at the latest we'll have a new manager.

Whoever will be making the decisions by then will surely have seen enough. I was still hopeful there was a chance Martinez would turn things around up until last Sat.

Hopeful not sure he would. I woke up after the game. The sooner he's gone the better for Everton F. C. I'm sure of that now.

{Ed025's Note - not many think different NBTB..

08 Mar 2016 22:25:58
Too true Ed025. Looked at the poll 88% wanting him to go. If there's another result like Sat do you think he'll be let go before the end of the season? Or if there is a mini run of bad results before end of season, will he be gone? My above comment was on the basis he does ok until the end of the season.

I have to agree with Toffee Ace comment below especially the last paragraph about being sick of thinking we won games in the 80th then losing. Feeling like a complete loser for the whole weekend then.

It's depressing, seriously think if we get decent manager future is very good.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think it would take us to go out of the cup and a couple of losses on the trot for him to be axed NBTB, my view is that he will see the season out mate..

08 Mar 2016 22:29:33
Me too mate Saturday was the final straw for me aswell just can't see why the board can't see this.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - but if we beat chelsea saturday, then arsenal and liverpool, you can bet your life the mood will change and the "lets give him till christmas" brigade will be out in full force stef..

08 Mar 2016 22:44:56
As I said above I think the same myself. But I'm not as sure as you about beating Chelsea. As you said you are sure we will. It would fit in to how the season is going so far. A rollercoaster ride is an understatement.

I think we are going to get beat Sat. It pains me to say it but I'm not confident. It's the way we lose that is disheartening.

Nothing make me happier if we win FA cup and finish in top 8. Just can't see it happening. I'm not one of these people who hope we lose just so Martinez goes.

I always want us to win. At least our last manager was stable and steady. My emotions are all over the place under Martinez. I'm starting to be a moody sh*t like the Mrs 😂.

08 Mar 2016 22:50:46
I was a let's give him til October a couple of weeks ago but after Saturday I would not let him take another training session never mind match the man is a lunatic and he is destroying us I have no confidence left everytime we take the field I expect to be beat.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2016 23:05:31
I don't know about him being a lunatic but I'm fed up of being all over the place with results. Our home record is dire. That's part of the reason I'm not confident about Sat.

I'll go into games not expecting anything. At least that way I won't be disappointed.

I stayed quiet and was as fair as I could to Martinez up until now. Can't hold it in anymore. Has to go.

Hey, if he proves me wrong and wins 10 out of the remaining 13 games I think it is, including FA cup, and gets us into champions league next season. 4 seasons on from when he promised it.

I will eat the sweetest humble pie ever known to mankind! Gladly.

08 Mar 2016 21:18:40
Seems a lot feel RM's days are numbered and I have to agree! I was checking updates on Saturday and I don't think my nerves and health can take it much more! The joy of going 1 up back down with a thud with the red card! Punching the air with Lennon's goal then two body blows and a knockout punch as we concede late on! Like many others this ruined my weekend! How can other managers close out games and RM can't?
I really hope action is taken either someone buy him "defending for dummies! " Or the "idiots guide to seeing a game out! "
Question is, who would we want to see come in as manager?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - pellegrini would do me ST..

08 Mar 2016 21:48:51
I'm with you on that one Ed. I think we need a top established manager if we are going to keep these players.

We also need to raise our profile if we want to take that next step. I think Manny might just take up the offer if we went for him.

I also think Manchini would take up an offer in the EPL and if there is anyone this team needs it's someone that knows how to get a team to defend.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very true john..

09 Mar 2016 08:16:57
shortlist for me would be - andre villas boas, unai emery, manuel pellegrini, jose mourinho, and eddie howe, think with the squad we have just now these guys would have us playing excellent.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2016 09:53:13
If we make change it needs to be for a proven, established manager at a high level. Shortlist for me would be Unai Emery, Frank de Boer, Pellegrini, Mancini.

I would also add Bilic but there's no chance of that. I would be dead against Benitez or AVB.

If we go for another young unproven manager like Howe/ Karanka/ Dunc/ Neville then I fail to see how that would be a step up from Martinez (who was in that category when he joined) .

If we get rid of RM it must be to take us to the next level. We therefore need a manager capable of doing that. If we don't, then we may as well stick with Bobby.

If the board are waiting till season is over they need to replace him quickly as new manager will need funds. No point in giving rm the transfer budget then sacking him 5-7 games in to season. Best thing for efc is let him go after Saturday regardless of result, get new manager and let him see team, then he knows what to do in summer and we start a fresh. I am sick of him talking, bad decisions, it's a joke. I actually think he ain't got a clue. Or he doesn't care as he knows his time is up.

Either way new manager very fast. We missed out this year and if we finish in bottom half we got no chance of attracting any players. I just don't see a good end to this for a few seasons. Hope I'm wrong but to many clubs spending got stadiums and we have lost out with the best team we had in years.

08 Mar 2016 21:14:10
Squad assessment is easy enough and anyone coming into the club will quite quickly be able to see who he needs to bring in.

I think bringing a manager in now will put pressure on him to get results when the team is not at it's best.

Even Klopp came in for early stick at Liverpool even though none of the players are his and their a pile of sh well you fill in the letters.

Let him take over in the summer get a couple of players in and get them understanding his philosophy.

Well we can dream can't we.

I actually don't give a stuff what Chris Sutton thinks. Never liked his opinion in the past and don't need his opinion now.

I know how embarrassing it feels right now as I'm living this flaming nightmare of a season. It simply isn't good enough that I've got to here comments from West Ham slimy owners. And the prospect of them finishing in Europe with us in 12 for goodness sake. All that's embarrassing enough even before I here Martinez excuses.

I just need this guy to leave our club TODAY.

We don't need him in order to beat Chelsea on Saturday. We're not going to be relegated. So let's not hang around and put the job of First Team Manager situation vacant and see what CVs we've got by the summer.

Sick of feeling like we're going to win for 80 mins and then spending the rest of the week like a loser. It's not funny. I'm an Everton fan, I was chosen, but not for this surely?

. reports coming out of the U. S. A. By NBC this morning that Martinez is facing the sack as a number of players in the dressing room have lost faith in him and his clueless tactics and that Moshiri is likely to make the change at the end of the season if results and league positioning don't change quickly which we all know won't happen! Really hope this report is true!

The big issue with RM is the inconsistency, to many highs and lows its a constant rollercoaster, we have two good away games and the fans are buzzing, so you go into the home game and bang your left with so much disappointment and anger with the mans decisions you start calling for his head, next your back up or at least I hope so as I fear the cup is all we have left this season!
We have an underachieving squad end of but where lies the problem, Manager or Player or a bit of both, whichever way we look at it it's not working so some sort of leadership needs to come from above as I fear the best we can hope for is another season of mid table mediocrity.
I suggest the board, manager and players re look at the clubs motto, and perhaps start to understand the fans frustrations!

Hi Dazza as someone who been going since 59 it hurts me but sometimes you have to make sacrifices to achieve a goal ie loosing to rid ourselves of brown shoes .
My dilema is do I renew my season ticket . Two weeks ago yes we have NEW MONEY and INVESTMENT but the boards inept behaviour makes me wonder just what will change and if it does will it be a a snails pace as at present.
Only at Everton could this happen that we are all sitting with our heads in our hands when we should be so happy!
