So we give Spuds 7m for Lennon (one foot)and they give it to Burnley for 21 year old Danny ings. Mmm wonder who would have got the better deal there.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spuds fans I know not bothered about losing Lennon, is he going to change our fortunes? or is he the sort of quality wigan would bring in? I don't think he's consistant enough!

He is consistent wakka, he's consistantly bad enough that we shouldn't go near him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Although I agree that 7m for lennon is daylight robbery, there is absolutely no chance that ings is going anywhere for the same amount.

Long since has passed when EFC commanded the headlines but I must admit to be a little shocked about how the nationals seem not all bothered about EFC non transfer activity. That, of course, could be construed as good news if players of quality known as being within EFC come back to the good but the weight of recent evidence says otherwise. Help me out here, don't we need some new blood to inject a little zest and passion with a dose of cracking play?

{Ed025's Note - i think your right TT, we do need an injection of new blood, arron lennon is being heavily linked, but i feel we need a bit more than that mate..

I read a report sayin if rm wants lennon then he has to sell to fund it ed

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats not the case shakey..

I thought he was after McCartney.

Im surprised we haven't gone in for Darren Bent, maybe the wages would stop us, I think he's gone on loan again though. Is there any possibility think would be a great edition to the squad myself.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - he is on loan at derby 1990, and i think thats about his level mate..

He was finished about 3 years ago mate, he's woeful now

He he he nice one mate, that was funny.

Aye tell her to bring pique with her too

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good idea clarkey..

He was always a lazy player with some skill and a little pace. Now he is a lazy player with no pace and a tiny bit of skill. Why would we want that?

Just for Swan.a Moyes and Osman free post! I find it almost unbelievable that we have almost the same squad as we had last season and not too dissimilar to previous seasons. ie Howard, Coleman, Jags, Distin, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Mirallas, Lukaku, Barkley plus a couple of other players. Yet the confidence we have shown for probably the last 7 seasons has flown out the window. If we consider that it is the same bunch of players plus a couple of additions, then how do we explain players such as Jags who in the past have been so consistent now look like they are juggling hot potatoes when they get the ball. We must hope that this confidence returns because besides a few extra injuries this season, this is basically the same team that performed so well last season. We need to put a couple of wins together back to back and then our players will start to relax.

this one may explain a lot of what is going on at Finch Farm.

It is not often reported or commentated upon but Roberto's first season in charge went well for us because even though we had adopted a different style under Roberto it was not complete. In fact quite a few games I went to, it was noticeable how often we played more direct, hence Lukaku was able to play to his strengths. This Season until West Ham, Roberto's influence has been noticeable in that he is making the Team play his way even in adversity, rather reminiscent of Wigan in their relegation season when he would not change even though they were getting beat.

I hope this is a turning point for the club now that the manager has listened to his players. His stubbornness in keeping to his possession game has cost us points so far, he has to trust the players on the pitch to mix it up. Rom sounds a bit more enthusiastic in this interview. Compare it to the one him and Jags gave for tv after the cup game, where they both stirred at the floor when talking. It shows things weren't as rosy as RM wanted us to believe. Hopefully harmony is restored and we can kick on from here

I don't want to sound like Mr Meldrew, but I don't bloody believe it, martines is trying to sign another Wigan player, malony, at least we will have lots of championship experance when we get their!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have enough over the age of 30+ players in our squad - no thanks

I'm predicting a 2. 1 win for us on Saturday, there was a bit of bite in us against West ham on Tuesday night all though it was not our best performance I think the never die attitude from us was a sign that maybe things are going to change, Saturday will tell us more COYB.
