Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Hi Ed, I'd be grateful if you could post this on the Banter page please. Last Sunday, 05.12.11 I ran the Liverpool Santa Dash for the Everton in the Community charity after the charity appealed for 1878 fools like me to don blue Santa Suits and run the 5km (3.1 miles) course to raise money for the charity.
Can I just say to everyone who may have thought about doing this but never got round to it, what a great laugh it was, even if you couldn't run for a bus, the pace is so slow and relaxed that anyone who owns a pair of trainers should be able to complete the course, have a lot of fun and also raise both funds for the charity and the profile of the club.
So come on, if you've thought about it, even remotely, you obviously want to do it and now have 12 months to train for next years event.
All the money raised for EITC goes straight to great causes in the area (check out the website) and helps disadvantaged people all over the area.
Thanks for your time,

Behind Blue Eyes {Ed025's Note - what a great post!!...after all the moaning and groaning that goes on on this site, what a sight it must have been to see all those blue santas running together!..i am ashamed to say i did not attend, but promise to atone next year...i would like to thank you very much for sharing this with us, and for your sterling effort in raising the profile of our great club!, and for helping those less fortunate than most of us...merry christmas

Thanks Ed, I got the date slightly wrong, it was actually 04.12.11.
I'd also like to mention that apart from supporting and following Everton for over 40 years I'm not in any way associated with either the charity or the club and only posted this article to try and raise awareness. Thanks for giving me the space on the site.

Behind Blue Eyes {Ed025's Note - your welcome mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one. It's good to raise awareness for this sort of thing. With good people like yourself who take time and effort to not only take part, but to spread the word, I reckon there will be a lot more blue santas next year. It would be nice to get a few players down too. Some of em could do with a little extra fitness! ;)

You can say that again Wiz

Well done Santa, I'm in next year

Degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - you and me both degsy...calling all blues, lets make it one to remember next year!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Hey Ed, maybe you could make a note in your diary to run a post around October next year to promote this further. Together we could turn the city Blue for a day.

all these everton fans who are calling moyes. who do they want in place of him. theres no1 about we should be made up to have him.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Come on then name people who you want in place

Agree2 Disagree0

Martinez a good manager who encourages his team to pass the ball and attack!

Agree0 Disagree3

I don't understand why everyone wants Martinez? Wigan survived by the skin of their teeth last year, and I honestly think they'll go do this year, so why does everyone want him??

Agree1 Disagree0

Everton have alot more quality in there team than wigan so martinez would have alot more to work with, the point is he isnt negtive or boring! Anyway i cant see him ever coming to everton! I just hope and pray moyes has a change of attitude and starts allowing the players to express themselves, wouldnt want him to leave! But its a results business (as they say)

Fellas,

If you're good enough your old enough.

I believe our team should line up:

Howard

Coleman Jags Distin Baines

Barkley Felli Rodwell Drenthe

Cahill

Saha (or new signing)

I just think we rely a tad too much on 'experience'. Lets get them thrown in there and spark some life into this team!

Any takers?

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Sounds good for me fella, may swap Coleman with Neville on tough matches

Degsybluenose

Agree3 Disagree0

Not convinced with Cahill atm, maybe on the bench and swap him for Vellios along side Saha..

Agree1 Disagree3

If Cahill gets the service he will score, simples

To all you suppose to be Everton fans.. Get off Davey Moyes back nobody could of done or do any better.. Get off his back or go and support the red sh...

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Great post, moyes had had no money the board have let him down completly, we need to get behind the players and moyes. am just glad the premiership is not a good league .whoever is in charge needs money so blame the board not the manager
school of science

Agree8 Disagree0

Football is about opinion...Grow up and look at it from behind your rose tinted glasses
Moyes = Poor, boring, predictable tactics

Agree4 Disagree5

Having no money does not prevent you from playing 4-4-2 or the £20 mill rated Ross Barkley ! That's moyes poor decision - fact !

Agree4 Disagree3

Barkley is a good prospect ,but did you watch him at the start of the season hes ok for 20-30 mins at the mo,dont rush theses players especially in a side that aint great

Agree1 Disagree1

If he is good for 20-30 minutes then play him for 20-30 minutes not 0. Or he is never gona be able to play a full game.

Agree3 Disagree1

Who the HELL are you to tell a blue to go support the reds. It sounds like your a red touting for extra supporters.
You have your opinion and this other fan has his/her opinion so DONT tell other blues to go support the reds.

Agree4 Disagree0

Just because we have no money is no excuse to be playing the boring negative anti-football crap we watch every week.

Even some lower division sides play better football than us, and that because they have positive mangers in charge. Im fed up with moyes and his negative tactics.

Fed up blue {Ed025's Note - well said mate...there is no need for us to be so boring!!

How about people stop predicting or guessing who will come arrive at Everton in the January transfer window. Fact if the matter is, we have zero cash and it's virtually impossible to speculate on any new arrivals if at all! Straqualursi was one of the summer signings and I don't even think he knows who he is. So lets just wait and see eh…

Isn't that why this forum is here though, so that we can all have a good moan and laugh about who WE want and would like at the club

IT's only a game
