Not a rumour but just a question. Has anyone recieved their season tickets yet?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, got them today.
Earlier in week box office said they would be sent out Thursday and Friday this week so you should be sorted by Monday depending on your postman.

Atsu seems as though it's still on- some reports are saying it's done which is a little premature methinks. The Nolito rumour is fantasy as the cost is out of our reach for now and Vigo clearly want to keep him. I'm still hoping RM can use his magic and pull something out of the hat before next week. I have concerns about Peanuts which is a shame but he seemed to lose a yard of pace during an erratic season and a couple of long lay offs. Richards? I fancy that as well as Kalou. Maybe I'm getting greedy but either we bring in another couple of bodies or I could be quietly hoping for a whimpering exit from Europa.

is there anythin concrete regarding atsu. is he joining?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, everything is agreed and just the final touches to the deal required. As long a Moaninho doesn't pull the plug again of course, but it is reported both parties are happy with the deal as is Atsu - number of sources referenced

Ed 25 you've said you expect a buy and 2 loans is that just a gut feeling or do you have some info? I believe we are still short of two wingers and another striker to really compete this season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - a bit of both sheeds, i know we are trying to bring more players in, but its my opinion that 2 will be loans mate..

Hey Ed, can I ask you, is George Green actually as good as he was made out to be when we first signed him?

Like recently you have the likes of Martin Odegaard starting games at 15 years old (albeit in a weaker league) and Hachim Mastour breaking into the AC Milan squad at 15 years old, who are arguably a better team than us (although not going on current form).

I've nothing against the lad, but at 17 or 18 years old Ross Barkley made his debut, which would have been earlier had he not broken his leg and Wayne Rooney made his debut at 16 years old. Many people were saying Green is as good as, if not better than Barkley and Rooney at that age, while Bradford City's head of football development Archie Christie said: 'This is one of the highest deals ever for a 15-year-old from a League Two club. But George is the best I've seen in his position at his age. He could become another Wayne Rooney or Paul Gascoigne.' after we signed him.

Has he just not developed as quickly as was hoped/expected or was he very overhyped when we signed him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - he is a very precocious talent NSNO, and is blessed with amazing talent but he seems to have stalled at the moment, he seems to me to be very much like jack wilshire, in that he possesses all the ability but does not produce the goods on a regular basis, and like jack and numerous others before him, he needs to get his act together sharpish or he will become another billy kenny mate..

Thanks for the reply Ed. One more question, is he going to be part of the senior squad this season or is he most likely going out on loan?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - imo he will stay where he is mate..

I've seen this kid quite a bit in youth games and yes has so much ability don't think that cause he has not made is debut like Rooney did at 16 and barkley would of done also if it was not for his injury, there are major differences which has nothing to do with ability Green is not as big as those 2 were at that age development of physical body plays huge part green has been plagued by injuries for chunks of his development which has set him back but expect him to stay in u21s for first part of season but also expect him to breakthrough by going out on loan towards end of season. He is going to be the next big thing of the production line

Hes had a few niggling injuries and doesn't yet have a proper position, I think that's why he hasn't made the team thus far

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok, thanks guys. Was just wondering why he didn't seem to be getting a chance when he is so highly rated. Can't wait to watch him play, which hopefully does happen this season.

Fellow blues & Eds,

Although Bobby has stated that he only needs a winger to complete the squad do we expect more signings or loans to be made.
Im sthinking we are a bit thin up top for 4 competitions. I would love to go as far in all of them as possible but could possibly see issues with fitness with all the games.

What you think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im expecting a buy and two loans nathan..

Hi there I'm a Hibs fan and I was wondering if yous know if any of your young lads will be coming to is on loan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im sure stubbsy will be trying mate, and its likely that a loan or two will be coming your way..

I can definitely (or defi-net-ly as Graeme Sharp would say) see the likes of Matthew Kennedy and some of the others getting a loan spell, but whether the Scottish League would me a better test than the English lower leagues is a moot point imho.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kennedy will probably come and I reckon Green could do with being toughened up

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep kennedy just joined

Okay, Blues. Wanna share a thought with you. Hope its okay, cause its just semi rumour-related.

Im from Denmark, and right now there are two potential world class-players in the danish league.

The first one is "Pione Sisto" from FC Midtjylland. he's 19 and he's coach Glen Ridderholm, who coached Christian Eriksen when he was under 17-player for Denmark, rates him to reach the same level as Eriksen. he's a strong complete winger and he just need experience to reach his potential.

The other one is "Daniel Amartey" who just came to FC Copenhagen for 1, 5m pund, and he's a monster. 19 years old and he is the next Essien.

So: These to players has world class-potential, and as a danish blue I would like to see them at Everton. Does anyone else know players from their home country which they want to see be signed to out lovely club?

Go check them out fellas, they're great!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just one point: you really should only say "they're great" about Kellogg's Frosties - not about players you're trying to big-up! ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Not from my country, but Martin Ødegaard who plays with Strømsgodset IF in Norway. He's only 15 years old and has played 12 league games for their senior squad, scoring 3 goals and as far as I know, has 3 or 4 assists too. If he keeps progressing the way he is, he'll definitely be one of, if not the best player in the world in the future.

The likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Ajax and Manchester City to name a few, have been scouting him, but even so, we'd still be in with a fair chance as his father stated regarding a transfer fee "The transfer fee offered shouldn’t determined his next club. Real Madrid could offer a fortune, and Ajax a fraction of that, but it may be more appropriate to go to Ajax."

Even though they seem to have a preference for Ajax, I think with the quality of players we're producing and the opportunities their getting, we could be a good option for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just googled odegaard 3 goals and 3 assists in 12 games and he's 15 sign him up

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Stromsgodset's Martin Odegaard has been linked with a move to Celtic to continue working with Ronny Delia who left the Norwegian side to take over in Glasgow, and now that Deila has brought in his development manager from Stromsgodset, Haakan Lunov, it looks like Celtic's chances in enticing the youngster to Glasgow have taken a turn for the better.}

Hey ed what if we were to get Adams Traore on loan and buy nolito couldn't we stick Nolito up front. Seems he is quite versatile and knows where the goal is. We could also try for Lacuna on loan again, I would be extremely happy with that squad. Also ed, what would Richards cost now, could we get him on the cheap.

COYB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - adama trraore has been linked since delboy left EB, but its far from certain, nolito is a winger, and im not sure what is happening with lacina mate. richards is being valued at around £7m, which is too high for a player with his injury record..

08 Aug 2014 00:52:21
Would anyone think Hatem Ben Arfa would be a good signing?

Not wanted at Newcastle and could be available for a reasonable price or even as a loan signing to strengthen the squad. Can produce moments of magic e.g. his goal vs. Blackburn, F.A. Cup 7th January 2012 and his goal vs. Bolton 9th April 2012.

No tar, lazy, injury prone, overrated and overweight, too selfish, attitude on the pitch stinks, will lose the ball all the time and doesn't bother trying to win it back, players like ross are struggling with timing as to when to release the ball, last thing he needs is someone like ben arfa alongside him, doesn't fight for the shirt and when he doesn't play he throws a tantrum and causes all sorts of problems, doesn't bother to keep himself fit, its all well and good trying to beat the whole team but it works maybe 3 times a season, all of which he will go one on one and miss, keep him away from this club, so, the following statement may shock and amaze you but its a no from me

Seriously u cannot b serious brilliant for five mins of every game bad attitude

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't always agree with Swan, but on this one he is absolutely spot on. Would be a big distraction to our younger players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Two seasons ago I'd have said yes but after the season he's just had, then it's now a definite no no. His attitude is poor, he's only half fit and I believe he could be an unsettling influence in the changing room and on the training ground. Plus where would he fit in?

Apparently Rhianna is looking to buy a football club in the uk, have a word Bill try and get a couple of hundred mill investment off her, would be good for ticket sales too!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - If it's anyone it will be Arsenal, they're The Illuminati's club.}

The main problem would be we would always play under her umbrella lol

Agree0 Disagree0

No way IMO, she's just a bandwagon football supporter, jumping on the hype, and frankly I wouldn't want anyone with her reputation near our club
