Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

08 Aug 2013 22:52:30
It seems a lot on here are resigned to us losing 1 or both of our best players. If we did then we will struggle next season. No matter who replaces them. Not good timing is it. Tell the mancs to do one.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lose Felli, sign Messi? Different positions, but I think everyone would agree that signing Messi at the expense of Felli means we wouldn't struggle next season.

I know you just said it as a figure of speech, but I can't help it. :D

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree mate

What formation is everyone happiest with RM using? I myself prefer his 3-5-2 formation that can turn into a 5-2-2-1 when defending, I think we're more solid with this formation than the 4-2-3-1 a much as I like that formation!

Also Ed, do you expect our next signing (s) to come at the end of the window? {Ed025's Note - not the very end mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

4-2-3-1 most of the time 3-5-2/3-4-3 for chasing games/tactical plans

Agree0 Disagree0

4 at the back is the only way. The top clubs tend to play 4-3-3 or 4-5-1, not 3 at the back, football is a simple game
MJ

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like to see a 3-5-2 but with super Kev played as 2nd striker and given a free role to maraud around the pitch and exploit weak points.

Would you take Marrone for 7million ed? Seems like a very good signing to me.

At the moment all the rumours of uniteds supposedly 30 or 50 million double bid for felli and baines are just that, rumours. If united are serious about wanting both players I would like BK to take a leaf outta spurs chairman Daniel Levy, s book and quote a ridiculous price for both players and stick to it. If that price doesn't get met and providing that both players don't ask for a transfer we still have 2 players under contract happy to stay at everton. If the ridiculous price is met and that most of that money was guaranteed to be reinvested in the team then I think we would be mad not to take it imo

Is Fellini mad? Most united fans don't want him, read there rumours pages. stay and become an everton legend rather than a united squad player!

If we sell Baines and Fellaini, we will go backwards. It is as simple as that. We need to add to what we have already got. People commenting on here and elsewhere astating that we need to sell, we are skint. the usual sh**. But Kenright said that we we in a good position financially. To me that doesn't mean that one our our best assets must go. Just because there has been no transfer activity of late does not mean we are skint! I expect 2 signings without sales. what do you think ed. {Ed025's Note - i expect that as well mate, i just hope we can hold on to the crown jewels..

Anybody else starting to think that the problem with transfers under Moyes was actually down to ermmm. Moyes? He's been told he can spend as much as he likes, yet messes about trying to sign a player whose club do not want to sell and the player himself doesn't want to join. I know we can't take that away from the fact that we're skint, but if he can't do the business for Utd, then perhaps a good portion of the blame for signing-less windows should go down to Moyes. Martinez has already proved that you don't need tonnes of cash to sign your targets quickly. One 'big one' to come in for me, that's if we keep hold of Baines and Felli, several 'big ones' if we sell one or both of those.

Kenwright should sell felliani to highest bidder, like moyes is guna do to rooney. don't want moyes to get him but he he leaves I hope it not to united.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why do think utd holding off a Felliani bid. could be a long shot but rumours coming out of crocky are utd will not sell rooney to any of its challengers. rooney doesn't want to go abroad. utd are holding fire to look at its options but the idea of a trade with Felliani hasn't been dismissed by both parties, and rooney isn't against the idea. wages are not suppose to be a major issue. but the main issue is utd want to keep this option available as long as possible. hence no more bids for Baines of Felliani until rooney is settled,. makes sense if u think about it. if its a reality well u never know.

Does anyone have examples of a top English team doing a player plus cash agreement anytime in the last 5 years? I can't think of any myself which is why I instantly dismiss any rumours with them in it. However I am sureb there must be at least one or two high profile examples that I am missing.
I know Zlatan to Barca involved Eto I think but apart from that I can't think of any others, especially involing premiership teams

08 Aug 2013 10:13:44
Just a quicky. It's not Moyes that does the negotiating. He says "I want this player" and then the money men at the club do the bidding. Same goes for us.

What I do know is the £30 or £35 being touted is hyperbole. Each bid has to be made individually and agreed and this is nowhere enough.

If they do go it will be for good money and we will get replacements.

Anyone think there is something going on with Rooney if he wants to leave then a written transfer request basically publicly announces that most fans think that anyway he is keeping quiet about the whole thing I have a funny feeling he may be coming back in a deal with fellani and baines or one of them if kenwright does sell one or both of them he knows the fans won't be happy so he has to soften the blow a bit signing him surely will patch things over I know wages would be the stumbling block but Rooney would love to fire us into champions league and 20 goals which would see us generate much more revenue we have to start taking some risks as to get champions league is getting harder and rooney earns that money because he can win you things

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Get rooney make evertons marketing men earn ther money,. everyone goes on about wages. rooney generates money. sponserships would increase. anyone who thinks we wouldn't make money on rooney is niave to say the least. he's still only 27, he plays in the most watched league in the world and is still England's no 1 player,. given utd are miles ahead of everton. but the romance of rooney going back to the club he supported while still in his prime would be the platform for everton to maybe get investment. but to make a major statement again. wages should nt be an issue. the English PL is a global force now. market him and make a bucketful of money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good shout! and if he did get 20+goals to push us into the Europa Cup that is even more revenue. and, a BIG and, if into the Champions League even more dosh etc etc.

"need to speculate to accumulate ". take note Uncle Bill!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find you're the naive one. Everton are tied into several commercial deals for several more years which can't be renegotiated. Rooney coming won't change that.
Besides the most important thing, his wages, are way more than we can afford. Can you see him taking a two/thirds pay cut because I can't?

Agree0 Disagree0

What commercial deals Chang and Nike if u get rooney things change. everton would have the number one England player who is globally recognised. i'm afraid u are niave,. sponser deals change with exposure. rooney brings that,. everton would only prosper with rooney.

Agree0 Disagree0

If your in the film industry the bigger the star the more backing your film gets. its the same concept in football even at the small end of a rooney deal. ie shirt sales, more games on tv, goodison would be a sell out every week. I understand sceptics sayin about wages but he has been the icon of the biggest global merchandising team in the world. if we stay in this mindset of mediocrity we will never achieve anything. rooney will only make money.

Agree0 Disagree0

We get a pitiful amount compared to other clubs from Chang, c. £3/4m per season and WE can't renegotiate it for another season or 2. We get £3m a year from KITBAG, not a penny from Nike. This deal has around 6 or 7 years to go. I can't see these companies queueing up to pay us more when they're not obliged to neither can I see anyone investing or buying us just because we acquire a fat overweight 'has-been'

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't matter whether we sell 2 Rooney shirts or 259 million we get £3m from kitbag. Fixed amount- nonnegotiable for several years. Same deal with Chang- fixed amount regardless of who plays for us.
When these deals expire then yes, we can renegotiate and expect more if we have a global 'superstar' (fat overweight has been). Until then it's all pie in the sky, wishful thinking, as he's not going to take a £150k hit on his weekly wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton are not succesful or big enough for Rooney. END OF STORY

Surely it makes sense to have transfer window shut on 16th day before season kicks off I don't like the fact that potentially fellani and baines could play the first 2 games and then get sold, I also think moyes is going to be careful why risk his relationship with everton over money.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because he clearly doesn't care about us

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Moyes care about his relationship with everton. Honestly said this a lot now but fans from all clubs need to look at themselves rather than getting upset by others. We have and we will bid for other teams players probably below their asking prices, why is it any different. Also if eg we sold Baines and Utd get a free kick against us just outside the box do u think he will say oh, um its Everton I don't want to take it or score

Agree0 Disagree0

Because you don't spend 11 years somewhere and forget its a big chunk of his life that's why svenny

Agree0 Disagree0

His low ball offers for baines show he doesn't care one bit about everton

All the rumours about Felli and Baines make me laugh. It is quite a simple situation really. Firstly, we do not want to sell. Secondly if a club wishes to buy either player, they must offer us the market value as we see it. If they offer less, then we have every right to refuse to deal and make the player honour his contract. Then at the end of his contract the player can leave on a free. The confusion happens when a player then refuses to put effort in during the middle of his contract and upsets the squad. eg Suarez now. I do not think Baines is that sort of person. Felli may be? So until a big enough offer comes in, they are both our players. Everton Football Club are acting exactly as they should and what will be will be. I just hope that we do not have another Lescott/Rooney situation whereby the players try to force a transfer. Like Mr Suarez is at the moment at our lovable neighbours. Mr Moyes is a canny negotiator, but so is Blue Bill and I trust Bill to firstly try and keep both players and secondly if one or both wish to leave, Bill will attempt to get top dollar.
Simple really.

I'm sure you've all heard the rumour of £30m for Fellaini and Baines.

This will not happen. Fellaini has a release cluse of £24m. Everton rejected a bid of £12m for Baines. I'm sure you can do the math and see how silly the £30m rumour is. If they go (before Fellaini's release clause runs out) you can expect it to be for £40m + addons (title wins, etc).

If Fellaini's release clause runs out (which it does on the 14th of August) expect him to go for no less than £30m. While Kenwright has a good relationship with Moyes, it is Ed Woodward who would be handling the transfer. Kenwright has no love for any other United staff and is still considering putting in an official complaint over the Moyes saga. For that reason, if he can stop Fellaini going on the cheap, he will.

Good post. Seems like a more believable one instead of the 'my freind's, mum's, brother's. ' posts that state they are either IKT or the infamous 'FACT!'.

Would love to see Manny Fernandes back at Everton, can create, tackle, pass, is box to box and loved the club when he was here

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I mentioned getting manny last year when he was in dispute over his contract, he now plays more defensive mid, and when he breaks his skill and distribution is excellent, I would have him back, and if felli was to be sold he would be a perfect replacement.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Manny" Fernandes is like Manny the mammoth in the Ice Age films: he's from the past and, although no doubt fondly remembered, his time has now come and gone and we've moved on.
Unhappy-Camper

Agree0 Disagree0

No doubt in his skill and we all know he play more defensive. But he was here he look too much confident to keep the ball and too late pass always loss dangerous ball. So problem not performance but attitude.

Lallana anyone? I think he is a terrific player with flair and vision. Would rather have him than McCarthey and they would be the same price too.

Realistically, would his current club be prepared to let him go? And at what exorbitant transfer fee?
