I see one of the more respected broadsheets is linking Barkley with a move to man city. According to the paper, city are going to get rid of Yaya Toure and replace him with either Paul Pogba or Ross Barkley.
They say it like it's a given, like either Everton or Juventus are going to say 'yeah, go on then, you're man city, you're loaded, so just choose whichever of our best players you like and take them'.
I used to quite like city before they got taken over, their fans were always quite humble and realistic and in a lot of ways very similar to our fans.
Hopefully it's just idle paper talk but the sheer arrogance of the way the article was worded just really got to me.
Rant over.
Here's to 3 points on Sunday and going above the red side.
COYB!

Yeah sumfin in place, it took us ages to get barry sorted for 2 million even though we had him a full year prior, there is nothing in place for him to go to the emptyhad, wheres he playing? Is silva leaving? I must of missed that one, must be sumfin in place for silva to go to madrid, but then there must be sumfin in place for isco to join arsenal, but then there must be sumfin in place for ozil to go to bayern, but then therebmust be sumfin in place for gotze and so on, its bozwollox, he's going nowhere

{Ed001's Note - there is no deal in place for Barkley to go anywhere right now. City are one of many clubs interested. It is a bit like saying there are many blokes interested in Angelina Jolie though, the chances of any of them getting with her are extremely low. City have FFP issues that make it difficult for them to sign anyone in January.}

So Ed, what you are saying is that the rumours about Angeline Jolie putting it about for a bag of crisps, a bottle of Bud and her bus fare home are a load of tosh?

{Ed001's Note - unfortunately so, it appears it was just a vicious rumour put about by someone who turned her down. Not that it matters, my mate tells me she is a lesbian, as she must be she knocked him back......}

I didn't say there was anything in place but it game from Ross's mates in the reseveres that said they couldn't do it this summer because of the financial fair play, like I say sounds tosh but 42 mil is a bit random to come out with, I wouldn't think would be far off what we would except either selling club or not

What can I say solid performance last night and we are in a tough group I mean Wolfsburg are 2nd in German league, this group is tougher than some of the champions league groups I've seen. I was one of the few fans who thought J.Mac was a top buy and a snip at 13 million the job he does is priceless, and at 23 so mature and disciplined when you watched arsenal in the week 3-0 up and still all midfield players bombing forward we could easily have done that but not us, j.Mac just clears up any signs of danger when I see him play he reminds me of roy Keane and the job makalele for Chelsea, just so glad he is appreciated by our fans like when he went off last night cause he is a player that is so difficult to replace,

Solid performance, need to back it up against the mackens now though. Looking good as a squad and with some of our best players still to come back can only get stronger. Onwards and upwards!

I can only second that Wob.

I agree lads. Not yet qualified but we've now taken apart the top two seeds in this group at home. Another win and a draw should be enough to finish top. James McCarthy was awesome in midfield last night and Naisy's final goal was sublime.
Socks pulled up now for a tough lunchtime encounter against the Mackens on Sunday. COYB.

Probably as close as we have come to last seasons form last night. Actually fully enjoyed that performance, no negatives at all. Special praise for J Mac, summed up by the commentator saying. when Everton are in trouble they don't call 999, they call 16 (J Macs shirt number). As previously said, we need the 3 points against Sunderland, Liverpool not to win and I'll enjoy the international break sitting above the reds.
