toffee haz {Ed025's Note - i like hoilett, haz...the likes of fletcher, doyle, and pederson are good..but i would not pay big money for them..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yehh i would rate 2 player Hoilett, Jarvis

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Hennesey guna be a class keeper. {Ed025's Note - a lot of people say that, but im not a big fan..

Agree0 Disagree0

Steven nzonzi {Ed025's Note - good player..

So sad to see blackburn end their 11 years in the top flight and hopefully that will never ever ever happen to us.
On another note does any one here rate pederson. He could be a potential target and I think he still has a few years left in him. Ed what do you think about him?
Blue kaz {Ed025's Note - i happen to like him haz..a couple of years ago he was hot property...and you dont become a bad player overnight..

Holiett looks quality and would be a good signing

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - i think formica...has a good finish.....lol

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - lower premiership though bez..

Right boys it's about time for a rant!
I post now and again, but I like to read others thoughts, sometimes laugh, sometimes I cry.....
so.......
First off, we need a replacement keeper, Tim's not going to be around forever! (Mucha, aint up for it!)
Right back - Hibbo doing well..... but for how long? Nevile is not a replacement! (Would love Richards - not going to happen. so.......)
CB - we got 3 good guys there, with Duffy coming through and Rodwell (a clear CB,) not much of a prob....
Mid - We need a winger on the right, (Adam Johnson?) - or anyone that can run at defences - (Coleman if he gets a grip.)
A back up for Felli and gibbo - anyone! - lets not f*** around, an unknown would be great.
Up front, we need a partner/back up for the fish, plus something different, maybe a pacy striker!!

Vellios, Baxter, Barkly, Guaye, are all still learning - Yes we've seen Brilliance in their play - but fuk me!! We'd see brilliance in my play if i got the chance!!!
the youth needs to develope (which is hard in this day and age)

Dempsy - great SQUAD player - but really a winner? has he won anything?
Hoilett - again, great SQUAD player - But won fuk all.
Rodrigez - Same again??
The list goes on, to name a few

Now don't get me wrong! I'm sure they could bring something to the team, But..... Is this who we're REALLY after??

I don't have an answer to our problems, but I'm getting sick and tired of (buy this guy, Sell that guy, if we had the money we could.....)

Lets be honest with ourselves - We're skint!! We've worked wonders with what we've got/had, or could afford.

If we BELIEVE We WILL Succeed!

Fuk me We've done it before, we can do it again!!

COYB!!

Apart from his size, I am not convinced Rodwell will make a good CB. He isn't great in the air or a solid tackler, but he can be a very good box-to-box midfielder if he stays injury free. {Ed025' Note - he is not the quickest, but has a good football brain, and a good physique...centre back written all over him for me..

We all know that whatever the speculation, moyes will sign someone we havent ever heard of eg. straculasi (still cant spell it). However this is what I would do:
Pienaar- he is an absolute must and surely moyes will sign him. Fee 2-4 million

Holtby- probably wont happen as we are skin however if we did have any money left over i would blow it on this guy.

A loan signing no-one has ever heard of- moyes will probably do this and lets hope this gem becomes another pienaar or ateta

Blue kaz {Ed025's Note - lets hope so kaz..

if we did get taken over would you rather have a new 50,000 seater or redevelop goodison park to a 50,000 seater i would redevelop goodison park myself . {Ed025's Note - new stadium for me...new broom and all that.. but not kirkby

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd get what I'm given. I have no problem with my seat and I've happily along with most Everton fans gone to every single home game this season and Wembley. A massive stadium thats spacious is just plastic. I wouldn't mind Goodison Being redeveloped, but a new stadium could take the Gwladys Street and Bullens type stand just made larger and cantilever to remove posts. However the Mainstand and park end would have to be re-thought to fit in.

In short, Re-design stadium based on Bullens and Gwladys street.

ed can you rate these players on are chances of getting them, out of 10, 10 being likely, 1 being unlikely, dempsey, hoilett, rodallega and pranjic thanks ed {Ed025's Note - 5-2-4-8..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

2 out of them 4 would be great, i agree with ed, pranjic is the most likely. What did you think of yesterdays game ed025? I thought we were unlucky.

Bez the blue {Ed05's Note - i said it would be tight bez...we were unlucky, but in games we think we should win...we seem to come up short, its that winning mentality mate..

Hi fellow blues and ed's!

Ive seen on the rumour page that "we have been linked with a Russian takeover", now as much as i wish this was true, no one seems to know much about it. Apparantly he still has 2 months left on a jail sentance.........jesus, why would we want a criminal running OUR CLUB if it is true. Have you heard anything or does anyone know this 'Russians' name?!?

One other thing ed, are both 'ed024' and 'ed025' both everton fans. You both seem to comment a lot on the everton pages.

Cheers guys.

Everton Al. {Ed025's Note - me and ed024 are the everton eds al...this is our main page to edit because we are both staunch blues!, on the takeover rumour...take it with a pinch of salt mate!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Cheers ed. Much appreciated!

Fingers crossed on the old takeover front but I tend not to believe things until they happen (although I do get slightly excited! :D)

Everton Al. {Ed025's Note - so do i al..

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't really be that Suprised about the Russian, sure didn't kenwright nearly sell the club to a couple lads living in a bid sit in Manchester or something! So selling to a Russian in prison is probably a step up!!

Kurajan

Agree0 Disagree0

I think anyone who is currently in prison would fail the "fit and proper person" criteria, come boys and girls it's not rocket salad!

Whoever does come in has to pass due dilligence which means they have the cash and infrastructure to run an EPL club and within that the fit and proper person criteria. So I think that one's a non-starter and scores 11 out of 10 on BS-ometer.

Big C {Ed025's Note - dead right big c...love the rocket salad quip mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Russian bloke is classed as a political prisoner by Amnesty International so would pass fit and proper person in that respect. However his fortune no longer exists as company ruined when he was imprisoned.
Probably has a few million stashed but suprised if it was enough to buy us.
Putin is supposed to be looking at his case 'soon'. Mind you Putin put him inside in the first place.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2012 14:07:23
Can anyone confirm where these Russki rumours are coming from or is everyone that bored and desperate they are making things up in the hope that it if you say it enough times it will come true?

Can someone post a full list of every player we are being linked with at the moment?
These are the lads I know we are linked with off the top of my head:
Clint Dempsey-Fulham
Steven Pienaar-Tottenham
Jay Rodriguez-Burnley
Kevin Doyle-Wolves
Dale Jennings-Bayern Munich

I know there are more players. Can ye list them down for me? Would be appreciated, thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Also linked in recent days: Olsson (W.Brom), Sigurdarsson (Lillestrom), Ryan Mendes (Le Havre), Mellberg (Olympiakos), Diame (Wigan), Perbet (Mons), Giefer (Leverkusen), Nikci (Zurich), De Jong (Twente), Dost (Heerenveen), Whitbread (Norwich), Hamouma (Caen).

Agree0 Disagree0

Danny pranic, matt jarvis, dass bost (and some other winger from the same club?), luuk de jong, fletcher, nick powell. their the main ones we've been linked with anyway {Ed024's Note - It gets silly season, we will be linked with so many players, as long as we sign 2 or 3 then i will be happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree'd ed, the only two i'm really expecting us to get is pienaar and pranic if i'm honest, and i'd be happy with that

To everyone complaining about Barkly not getting "enough" game time this year, ye don't seem to understand how the game works. The lad is just out of the youth academy and has never played in the Premiership before this season. Moyes is hardly going to say "oh your a talented young player, congradulations, your in the first team for the whole season, even though you have no experience whatsoever".
If Barkly had been starting at the start of the season and gotten badly injured, ye would have been complaining about Moyes not giving him time to adjust to the Premiership.
Moyes is giving him time to adjust and not just throwing him in at the deep end. Thats what your supposed to do with young players. Odds are this is the exact same thing that will happen with George Green when he breaks into the senior squad. {Ed025's Note - i agree with all that mate..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Giving him time to adjust? He hasn't played in months!! I agree, he shouldn't be thrown in the deep end and start every game, but I have always felt that we should give him a bit of game time towards the end of the season, and NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME, I mean surely he would have been a better option than McFadden on the right wing or Cahill playing as a centre midfielder.

Yes, he shouldn't be starting every game that is a given, but game time here and there, maybe an odd start is what the lad needs, how is he going to adjust when he plays in the resizes and U/18's and sits on the bench constantly?

Agree0 Disagree0

He came on as a sub the other day mate {Ed024's Note - Barkley will get his chance next season

Just one thing ED today is the day we avoided relegation at wimbledon in 1994 and also the same day i took my first steps as a baby! haha

toffee haz {Ed025's Note - we have taken giant steps since then too haz..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes all we need is investment the a sleeping giant like are team will show others what we are capable of.
