Can't belive we ain't brought 1 player in yet, with the World Cup coming up if any of the targets play really well the price will go right up, I hate to say it because I hate the red half of the city but they got it right bring 2gd players in already at good price before they rise

Is it just me? or does anyone else wish barkley doesn't start the world Cup, so people are less interested about him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am sure that the player would be less than pleased that there are Everton fans who wish him anything but the best for the World Cup.}

Lets be honest, clubs are going to be interested in him regardless of his WC performances, therefore I hope he has a great WC and his value goes through the roof.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope that if given the chance, he has a blinding world cup. He is under contract, by his own admission, has no intention of leaving EFC, and it willboost his cconfidence even more. So should we wish Jags, Bainsey and even after 2 appearences, Stones don't play for England, just so no-one comes in for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't want any of our players playing in the world cup risking serious injury and not getting a proper rest this summer. I want them all wrapped in cotton wool and pampered and then brought back to finch farm fresh. I couldn't give a rats arse about England or any other team in the world cup I only care about Everton. All this international pride b****cks does my head in. Everton and only Everton for me but being as they are playing I hope ALL our players have blinding world cups but come back injury free. COYBB!

Agree0 Disagree0

The WC comes but once every 4 years. It should be a festival of the worlds best showing their talent. I want to see Ross, Phil, Leighton and John show that they are amongst the worlds elite. This reflects well on themselves and EFC. As to the bids - we have the RM!

Paddock, stop reading my mind! That's spooky, you just posted exactly what I was thinking. What's that saying? "Great minds. "

I would love us to sign Lukaku. He has scored bags more goals than any other player in the top flight of their respective league by his current age. He should become one hell of a player. However, he has a gob bigger than the Mersey Tunnel. One minute he is looking to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place, the next he is moaning because Costa is signing for Chelsea and he feels he will not get a game. Has he heard that fighting for your place means exactly what it states on the tin? If he opens his eyes he will see Eto has left, so he is in exactly the same situation. He should stop whinging and get on with it or hand in a transfer request. If we sign him, he needs to be made aware that as soon as he signs, he has a certain dignity and respect to show that he owes our club. None of this whinging at the first sign of him being rested or dropped for another player.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Any chance of playing for Chelsea is out of his hands. Some months ago Lukaku did something which resulted in taking the immediate decision to sell him this summer. They may not have made that decision public, but I have explained since that day that the club intends to move him on. In his defence, his player liaison guy has worked very hard to get Chelsea to give him a second chance, so far to no avail.}

If you publicly question the manager of your parent club, then what did he expect. Jose says 1 thing about him and Lukaku says totally different. He seems to be a bit of a disruptive force and throws his toys out of the pram. i'd like him at Everton but his attitude has to change.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair his attitude at everton has been great and from what I remember it was him replying to Jose's comments but maybe I'm wrong.

Red star Belgrade get chucked out of the champions league apparently for breaking ffp rules, but City, Psg don't?? can anyone explain that or maybe it was for something else can anyone correct me if I'm wrong please.

Double standards posted same thing last night but went to other posts page!

{Ed025's Note - it depends on the editor that posts it BB mate..

Bit different for them Stef, at least City etc managed to pay their staffs wages, Red Star didn't even pay the cleaning lady

I know one rule for one and another for others but slightly different situations mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed didn't mean you had double standards lol! I meant UEFA because red star aren't a glamour club. But now you mention it lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - This is just a nonsense - it is nothing to do with Manchester City nor PSG nor the other clubs who were sanctioned. The post went to the Other Posts page because it was ill-informed and incorrect - I should have just deleted it.}

Ed 002 not wishing to get into a debate about semantics but what part of man city and psg getting fined but red star banned was either Ill informed OR incorrect? The final part about double standards ( my opinion) is the only part that is not based on fact

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The issues are entirely unrelated - it is not double standards at all. Do you think the punishment should be the same for speeding in a car and breaking in to a house?}

I think more people get hurt or killed by speeding than burglaries (not advocating either) and I agree the situations are a little different however does anyone honestly think if the situations were reversed UEFA would have the bottle to ban the likes of City PSG etc?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Off to the Twilight Zone then. I am not going to try and answer hypothetical questions.}

HQ hearing reports of young upstart Corporal Barkley in battle stop.
Disturbing reports that he departed the landing craft at such a pace that he took out three person positions and set up a strike at the very vitals of the enemy stop.
Has this young whippersnapper not read up on training manual that insists we probe slowly and methodically searching for a weakness in the enemies lines? stop.
My God Roy if other troops catch onto this idea this whole party could be over by Christmas stop.
This young pup is obviously after a gong stop.
You have my (and the PM's) full support to squash any idea of a repeat performance in tonight's little jolly stop.
Suggest Corporal Barkley is demoted to Private as of now, return to ship to peal spuds? stop
We'll beat the person in the traditional English way or not at all stop
Chin chin old chap, onwards to Berlin! stop
