We have no one there though mate that's the problem, no one of Geri or Coleman's quality on that side.

Hello, give Mirallas a chance at least.

Howard-7-2 decent saves ruined by again refusing to act, he can punch, catch, win a foul or take everyone out, nothing. So many cointer attacking opportunities ruined because he can't kick the ball from his hands. Don't see any keeper conceding headers in their 6 yard area as many times as him.

Coleman-8-Thought he handled Bolasie very well and actually put in some good crosses for once.

Stones-8-Genius.

Mori-7-Did well defensively but he's a nervous wreck on the ball.

Galloway-6-Did okay mostly.

Barry-7-Solid game today, broke things up and his distribution was quality.

Cleverley-8-So unlucky with his shot, worked hard and was so comfortable on the ball and drove us forward.

Deulofeu-8.5-Has the beating of Souare all game, some of his passes and crosses were briliant.

Barkley-7-Stronger on the ball and is playing with his head up, just wish he wouldn't dither on the ball so much.

Kone-6.5-Some of his link up with Lukaku was quality, overdid it at times.

Lukaku-8-Bullied the Centre Backs, made up he scored again, he has 50 goals in 100 games, that is madness when you think this is the only season he has had any decent service. But yeah too lazy, wish we had Straq or Jelavic there, they don't score a fraction of Rom's goals or have a fraction of his talent, but they run in circles a lot. Anyone still having a go at him, suck it up, he's quality.

Baines-6-Did nothing right or wrong.

Now before Tim Howard's fans get on my case, where I was sitting I genuinely couldn't see who got beat in the air by Dann. Whoever it was, take 1 off their score, both him and TH should do much better.

We were so unlucky, what team hits the bar 3 times and doesn't win!? Oh right, Everton. Some of our Football was 2013-14 esq, will someone let me know who the balding blabbering buffoon is in the lower bullens? . Was screaming abuse at Coleman for going to left back while Palace had a throw. He's the most infuriating person I've ever heard at the match, he never claps when we play well, just moan moan moan. Told Galloway to come short, while we had the ball right by Palace's corner flag on our right. When we went 1 down his idea of a super sub involved taking Lukaku off for Osman. Not joking nor using this as a cheap shot at Osman. He genuinely shouted that.

Need 3 points against Norwich now.

{Ed025's Note - it was barry who lost dann swan

07 Dec 2015 23:15:01
Coleman was brilliant Swan I completely agree, I don't think any fullback has handled Bolasie as well as that this season.

Thought Barkley may have scored higher, he never stopped trying and never stopped wanting the ball. His pass inside the fullback for Geri was sublime.

Silly for Barry to be marking Dann anyway.

Ross did do well, completely forgot about his sprint nack and tackle on Bolasie to stop their attack.

07 Dec 2015 23:32:15
Again unfair to Tim defenders should have dealt with it. Deulofeu was poor tonight. Some awful crosses and too much messing around. He has tons of ability just doesn't know how to make the most of it on occasions!
Mori had his worst game so far looked way off the pace. Has been quality until now so hope it was a one off!
Good to see Clev back had a very good game!

Agree0 Disagree3

07 Dec 2015 23:37:44
Agree with most of that, mostly why bring on baines? if its not broke leave it.
Think we need a bit more creative logic at mo, cp came to defend and break, like so many teams before and we never learn, but that's efc.
But we are on the right track.
Cant wait for my son to get back from game and give me full running commentery, with his mate from lower bullens. ha ha.

Deulefeu was poor. Are you mad? How high are your expectations, he terrorised them and got a well earned assist.

08 Dec 2015 00:40:25
Toffee he was given the ball all night and wasted it time and time again. Too much messing around and most of his crosses were awful by his standards. Gave the ball away on numerous occasions and threw himself to the floor once or twice and even continued to remonstrate with the linesman for 5-10 secs after one incident while their defender cleared the ball.

Yes he was poor by his recent standards! Watch the game again.

We didn't get the victory tonight that our play (especially in the second half) probably deserved, but - to be fair - Crystal Palace were well set up and worked hard to thwart us and always looked to catch us on the counter-attack. I was also impressed at how Wickham did in his hold-up play - they could hit long balls to him or to their pacy widemen, so we had to be alert. All of our players put in a shift - and some (like Deulofeu) showed occasional flashes of brilliance - and they all never gave up. We hit the woodwork three times as well. Cleverly hit a worldie that forced a great save.
Lukaku - 50 Goals for Everton in 100 appearances - how's that for scoring in modern football?
We still need imho to improve on corners - both offensively and defensively.
Let's now recover and prepare for Saturday's fixture at Norwich.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - we do need to be better at set pieces sid, but i thought we were very unlucky there tonight and played really well, big shout for ross as well, i thought he bossed that midfield mate..

07 Dec 2015 22:13:11
Ok we didn't win, but we are looking a good side and showed real strength to come back from going a goal down. I feel all we need is a classy midfielder to play that killer pass, and another striker, one who hits it first time would be nice. But just remember Crystal Palace are a good side and in the second half we dominated the game. Believe me they were well happy to get a draw, and if we carry on playing like that we will have a good season. Midfielder and striker please Santa.

Not going to give out too much but that goal from a corner was disgraceful absolute shamble trying to defend it. But I thought we deserved to win that game we were very unlucky but onwards and upwards COYB.

Martinez cost us again got me. Picking Howard week in week out I'm not even going to talk about. Playing Kone 90 minutes every week is becoming absolutely ridiculous. He was terrible again today. I knew he'd live off that hat trick. He's scored against West Brom, Watford and Sunderland. I'm not saying those goals weren't important. But he can only perform against sub standard opposition. The dominance we had in their final third left us crying out for some actual talent in Mirallas or even some attacking nouse from Naismith. Stubborn Martinez though. he cost us at Bournemouth and again today.

The only credit he will ever get from me is that he has kept a good young squad together. Besides that the man is tactically inept for English football.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

07 Dec 2015 22:13:46
He is too nice.

07 Dec 2015 22:24:51
Utter rubbish mate! Tim made at least 3 v good saves and still you criticize him. Why!?

Kone played quite well imo not great but linked up well with those around him. What are you talking about. Living off his hat trick!? What's the matter? Are you sore because Mirallas didn't get on!? How often has Mirallas scored against the big teams?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - credit where its due to tim aflm, i thought he played very well, kone done ok but i would like to see him busting a gut a bit more mate..

07 Dec 2015 23:01:11
Mirallas has scored against Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Man Utd and Arsenal I believe if that's in question. I also mentioned Naismith incase you missed that. Howard made some good saves but I think Robles would make them saves. A floated corner into the box for me should have the keeper collecting the ball. I accept TH is an easy target and I don't hate the guy, I've stated before he has been excellent for the club, no longer though in my opinion.

I can't even debate Kone, he is terrible. Bottom 6 standard for me e. g. Norwich, Villa. We're going to have to agree to disagree here. He lost the ball constantly, didn't work hard enough to get into the box for crosses and generally he lacks any real quality for our team. If you don't have quality you have to have work rate and he has neither.

Im not here to bash Kone because Mirallas doesn't play. or at least it wasn't my intention. I don't hate any EFC player but he was knackered after 60 minutes and should have gone off. The post was mainly relating to Martinez.

Just to add to something I forgot earlier. set pieces. It's well known Roberto doesn't think set pieces are important thus doesn't practice them. We have conceded the most goals from set pieces this season and scored the fewest. In the PL set pieces are a great route to goal and our defending and attacking efforts are horrific. that is down the manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2015 23:05:32
Yes, if we had Joel Robles in goal that ball never reaches Scott Dann. But our Goalie treats Footballs like a hot potato.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he was blocked off to be fair swan.

07 Dec 2015 23:16:32
There's a great picture of Scott Dann with his arms out celebrating whilst Tim Howard is still looking for the ball. If he's blocked off then win a foul (IE Joel vs Middlesborough) or clean everyone out (IE most Goalkeepers) .

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2015 23:20:25
That's what 5 goals against the big boys in 3 full seasons hardly prolific, is it!?

I don't want to criticize Kev too much as would like to see him back in the team myself, but it's not going to happen for whatever reason and at the end of the day he has never been consistently brilliant.

But both you an Swan are talking rubbish if you think any keeper let alone Robles would have come to collect that corner! That was why I said utter rubbish not really Kone.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2015 23:35:03
aflm, it really isn't worth talking about it, you are so obviously biased to Tim Howard for whatever reasons.

West Brom

Liverpool

Arsenal

Man City

Crystal Palace

All them games he is not at fault for any according to you, De Gea, Courtois, Hart, Lloris, Forster, Cech, the list goes on, you will never find them conceding headers like that inside the six yard area on a regular basis. Joel had about 10 of those balls in to deal with against Norwich, just in the first half. He dealt with them all so don't give me this of no one would ever come out for that cross. Most Goalkeepers in the Prem come for near enough every corner, especially when it's inside the six yard area. But what do we know, you think starjumping over Footballs and letting them go in the back of the net is normal. I love the "let alone Robles", so not a Joel fan but a pretty big howard fan I see.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2015 00:53:54
Swan I'm not a Howard fan just tired of all this nonsense! He made 3 great saves tonight and is still criticized.

Let alone Robles because he could hardly at this time be considered a top class keeper (given that he has such little experience) nothing to do with liking him or not!

Every one of those keepers has made mistakes and let in soft goals Courtois was beaten from 50 yds against Stoke. Hart let in a series of howlers a cpl of seasons ago. And Cech flapped at a cpl in his first few games for Arsenal. It happens! Be as irate as you want but you dislike Tim so much that you're starting to see mistakes that don't exist.

And doesn't matter how many good saves he makes these days people just looking for something to use against him. It's getting boring mate!

Agree1 Disagree1

08 Dec 2015 03:51:37
Sorry you mentioned no getting beat 6 yards out, plus none of them make as many mistakes as Howard. Shows how badly your clutching at straws when you mention "howlers a cpl seasons ago". Even our greatest Goalkeeper (Not Tim Howard) big Nev has said Howard should of easily stopped the goal.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2015 10:56:38
Swan you are constantly bringing up Tim's howlers from a cpl of seasons ago and now you say I'm clutching at straws for using Hart's poor form a cpl of seasons ago as an example of keepers having bad moments of form. Seems a little hypocritical on you part.

Anyway whatever this nonsense is not going to end until Tim's gone. I just hope all this rubbish negativity doesn't affect him anymore and lead him to make more "errors".

I hope Martinez signs a new keeper in Jan but I doubt it so looks like I'm going to have to listen to this rubbish for a while longer!

07 Dec 2015 22:06:11
We saw the other side of Deulofeu tonight. Extremely wasteful and over-elaborate! We should have won that game!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

07 Dec 2015 23:01:24
I'd rather see him miss a few crosses n carry on doing what he does, stifle his positivity and you have half the player we all know crosses need a slice of luck with a packed box.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Dec 2015 23:17:33
Appears we have very different viewpoints mate and that's fair enough. we should have won that game, Geri was boss imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2015 23:18:55
He was drawing two players towards him thus giving others space to play in. First half he had to sit in the front row of the stands to get away from his marker!

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2015 23:25:33
Overall Geri played well, was involved in most of our attacks and helped with the goal. Problem was he ran his socks off, looked tired after about 70 minutes, then did 2 horrendous dives. Should have substituted either him or Kone in my opinion. Then again he did have a hand in the goal on 81 mins so maybe Bobby was right (or lucky)

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2015 21:57:11
Take the point once we went 1 nil down. Unlucky not to get 3pts but the post/bar denied us. Kone was tiring with ten; super kev with fresh legs should of come on. Palace did look solid in defence.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Dec 2015 21:52:23
Why is it we have chance go 6th and we fluff it?
Palace are a good team but we were all over them majority of the game!
One sub and brought on a left back!
Mirallas should leave and rightly so!

Agree with everything there ant Wharton. It was just one of those games. Ball would just not go in. 3 times Luk hit the woodwork.

Credit where its due Howard made 2 good saves. Clev was unlucky not to score as well as 3 or 4 for Luk. Barkley made one wonderful sliding tackle. Was delighted to see that.

Mirallas, don't think anyone could give out about him if he hands in a transfer request in January.

07 Dec 2015 22:04:21
We are at home and Lukaku is right, if we want to be considered a top side then we have to take our chances and win games like that. Said it RM's first season there is something about the man that makes me think he is not a Premiership Manager, at this level you have to be ruthless if not a little mad, consistency is first and foremost. This is supposed to be the best Squad in years, so it has to be down to RM and the staff he has around him.

07 Dec 2015 21:33:22
Why can't we defend corners?
Why can't we score from one!

Interesting read on ssn app about tim howard. The stats on there confirm what a lot of is have been saying all along and that is that he's a liability. Hopefully tim pulls his head out of his own arse and has a read, and no tim the stats aren't the fans fault either.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - bobby seems to have faith in him gray and his place is set in stone, thats not going to change this season so we might as well get on board and give him our backing mate..

07 Dec 2015 09:27:11
Try to get on board ed but the frustration of a keeper who has no command of his box which he is paid a big wage to do always gets the better of me. But as you said he is a mainstay so will just have to put up with him, which hopefully will only be this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - as you say gray..hopefully..
