Fantastic response ED025 to that who won't be named. Reading his post made me madder and madder as I went through it and props to you for putting that thing in his place. Bravo!

I agree with you AngeloEFC. Ed thank you very much for sticking up for our little humble club. Firstly I read an article here in oz about how fickle the Man U supporters are. A bar somewhere in the US was losing money because United were losing and the (die hards fans) dropped off quicker than a vindaloo curry the next morning. Secondly all the die hards in Asia were hopping off united and going to city and chelsea. Thirdly when you follow Everton there is no in between. You are either Everton or your not. The question I ask you lot. Is there any chance that Man United who are millions of dollars in debt and just spent a stack more and are now probably in billions of dollars in debt, could they fall on there sword and end up like Leeds United. Because then A team like Man City could probably take there ground (Old Trafford)from them and send United to a 30000 seat stadium which they wouldn't fill up (only if the away supporters came and filled the gaps) because all the die-hards would swap to Man City.

So get stuffed

ED0025,

Whats wrong?

Can't your beloved Everton take a little criticism

btw - this is why I disagree with eds manning the page they support.

I'm not being funny but you're the first one to agree with posters on here criticizing any other team, double standards I think.

and I don't think that post broke any rules did it? - just my opinion on what I believe to be a poor club. Didn't abuse anyone.

I guess you're just a little premenstrual

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - the only thing i agree with in both your posts is...."your beloved everton"....enjoy your sabbatical..

Have I missed something?

You lot seem to think you're so high and mighty.

I'm seeing posts calling Naismith one of the best in the League, I'm seeing you guys calling fans deluded (quite ironic really).

I don't understand, is this what happens when you get close (but not close enough) to the top 4? - let's be honest you're never going to progress into the top 4.

Chelsea, City and United will always outspend and outclass you. Liverpool will always be a better side than you and Spurs have a much better manager and a far more talented squad.

You bang on about Lukaku but he's hardly a great player, he done well for you last year but I'd expect him to move on to a bigger team within the next season or two.

You're really not going to break the top 4 anytime soon, you can't really afford to compete and Youth will only get you so far.

The only player you have that will make it into any other top side in the EPL is Coleman and he wouldn't make it into the Manchester City line up ahead of Zabaleta.

I really don't know what you guys have to brag about, I really don't.

Baines isn't as good as everyone thought he was last season, Lukaku is worse than Balotelli, McCarthy and Barry is hardly a top midfield.

There are 2 players that I would personally take from you, Distin and Coleman. Possibly Miralles.

I don't think Stones is all that great, typically overhyped youngster (don't get me started on Barkley, jesus).

looking at all the top teams young guns, I'd have Januzaj, Sterling and Ramsey any day before I even consider Barkley.

Anyway.

My point is you criticize the back and forth between United and Liverpool fans, Spurs and Arsenal fans, etc. But this page is just as Boring as city's.

No debates, no banter with rival fans, just you all going 'yeah, I agree Naismith is the best player in europe'.

You're all sheep - a few weeks ago you were all kicking off about signing Eto'o because he was too old, then you sign him and he's got loads left in the tank is a the a shrews signing by Martinez. It just stinks of desperation.

Mid table club, mid table players, and a manager using you as a stepping stone - much like your prize signing Lukaku.

Much like your club, you fans are bland and just blend in to the background. Nothing to talk about here.

{Ed025's Note - wow....what flew up your nose?....why would someone like you come on another teams page and just insult their club and supporters?...i realise your a manc and so must be very low on self esteem but its not our fault!...are you doing this because you were bullied at school?..or maybe you have a very small penis? i really dont know...you are acting like a little kid and so im going to ban you for a while so that you can think about what you just did...and to deter other wannabe pricks like you doing the same..see ya..

Haha well said ed025, this lad is an absolute bell! I read these pages quite regularly, and have done for about 18 months now, and have never seen anyone say Naismith is the best player in Europe. If anything, there has only been a few of us banging a drum for the lad since he signed, I don't think, despite how well he has played of late, that many would contemplate saying such a thing. Get back to your own page you effin top hat

Agree0 Disagree0

And I don't remember United outclassing Everton last season. (NOT EVEN EUROPA) cough cough

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone has overdosed on prawn saries.and to think we bang on about Naismith being best player in the league or Europe even.haha that's a laugh. we all know Naismith is the best player In the world, not just Europe. ;)

{Ed025's Note - love it dentie..

Youth will only get you so far.

Hmmm, didn't the kiddy fancier Fergie like his kids. and built squads full of them

the difference between Everton and Utd is we'll give our youth the games they need

just look at Evans, Jones, Smalling all top youth players and loads of hype around them but your great side and great managers didn't give them the game time needed to progress to the next level

utd's time is over, your not the biggest side in England, North west or even manc-chester, 10-15 years ago everyone would of signed for you but now even our poor left back wouldn't even look at u.

the amount of quality youth we can sign season after season only goes to show that we make good players into great players that get international call ups (buying fellani for 16m andthen passing him on for nearly double that in a season when his game and style is outdated to any of the top 5-6 teams in our league )

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one Ed also put him on the naughty step outside Goodison on match day so we can poke him with sticks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im thinking of getting stocks outside the gwladys st lancer, so we can throw rotten tomatoes at him mate.. :)

06 Sep 2014 18:49:18
Eds has anyone gotten the true story on the Henen deal yet? He spends the summer at Camp Finch Farm, transfer deadline comes without Everton able to pry him from his current club, and out of the blue a Greek outfit signs him, without a physical, and immediately loans him to us. This does not make sense at all, or does it?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - the official line is that it stalled over the initial fee and subsequent add ons habibka...how true that actually is mate is open to debate..

Apparently we played Stoke in a friendly at FF. Both Oviado and Kone played, with Kone scoring in a 4 - 0 win.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

With so many of our players (at all levels) away on international duty or carrying injuries AND with our available U18 players taking part in the tournament in London, you have to wonder who was playing for us in this match at FF. Aside from the named scorers - Kone and Oviedo - who else would have played? Anyone got any inside information?

Any chance of a voting poll asking if the summer transfer window for the Premier League should close before the Premier League season actually starts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yes sid i will sort it mate..

07 Sep 2014 11:36:38
Ed025: I see there's a voting poll asking "should football remove the transfer window system". I was asking for a voting poll about whether or not the Premier League summer transfer window should close before the Premier League season starts. :-)

{Ed025's Note - i know sid..i have put in your request and it should be up shortly mate..

Just had a browse on the RS site and two things appear.
1. They appear to be cacking themselves over Sturridge's injury the other night for England against the Norwegians. 100m spent during the summer and they're now questioning where the goals will be coming from if he's out for a considerable time.
2. The bitchiness between themselves and Utd has resurfaced over there and it's like something out of the primary school back yard. "De Gea's better than Mignolet" and "Henderson's better than Mata" etc, etc. all that's missing is "and my Dad's bigger than your Dad".

A comical farce from two sets of deluded supporters of clubs who've spent the most money this summer in the EPL.
You couldn't make it up!

I could post a huge list of silly quotes from fans all over england, including everton, but I agree those two, along with arsenal, tottenham and newcastle, are the most 'deluded' out of the bunch, everyone has silly fans, just both reds seem to have the majority being silly

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair, the number of fans actively posting on these rumour & banter websites is minute compared to the number who actually go to the matches and/or are part of any club's local, national and international fanbase. The views expressed by the posters may indeed truly represent those of the majority of fans, but as a statistical sample they're just too small to draw conclusions with any reliability.
However, in my experience, those fans whose clubs have not won the league title recently, but were repeat winners in the past (you know who!), do show delusional traits in their wishful thinking and believe that their club should be successful just by right rather than by hard work and application ;-)

{Ed025's Note - very true sid..

Talking to my lad who's hoping to get to Wolfsburg away. Reckon will be harder to get tickets as their stadium is smaller than Lille. Also Wolfsburg attendances close to capacity, whereas Lille seem well short.

Suggested he goes for Lille. Seems to be a few options for Lille. Direct buses from London Victoria Coach Station. Direct trains from Calais to Lille and then metro to ground. Also Lille not far from Belgium so flights via Charleroi a possibility. Wouldn't be a massive drive either with a stopover.

Anyone got travel plans already or been to Lille before and care to feedback. Thanks in advance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Am driving it mate, ferry to calais then
its about 1 and half hour drive to lille

Agree0 Disagree0

Im getting train to london and coach to lille and back

Agree0 Disagree0

The coaches are quite reasonable national express have european partner service called eurolines. paying 68 pound return london to lille. If you book trains in advance prices aren't too bad to london just depends what time you want to travel. i'm doing the overnight coach on wednesday night gets to lille really early thursday but I get to see the city a bit and have a few early beers. Hotels seem quite reasonable too paid 50 quid for a room for 2. Just hope our allocation is good and can get tickets in our end

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good luck sean...im sure you will have a great time mate..

07 Sep 2014 10:36:33
Use Megabus site for buses to Lille . £25 each way at the moment .

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers ed are you doing the away days in europe

{Ed025's Note - not at the moment sean, done all that in my early years mate, but never say never, i may well come back.. :)
