Just for fun blues.... Top 5 performers so far this season?? Here's mine;

1. Fellaini
2. Baines
3. Distin
4. Heitinga
5. Drenthe

What about everyone else.... Would like to know ed0025 top 5 performers aswell. This is so far, still some massive games to come but so far my player of the season is Fellaini.
MikeTheBlue {Ed025's Note - i cant improve on your choices mike....

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Baines has not done it for me this seasion and neither has fellaini I think hibbet has been out standing this seasion and no one ever seems to ecnolage him

Agree0 Disagree0

1 Saha
2 Billy
3 Neville
4 Howard
5 Rodwell

Agree0 Disagree0

1. Fellaini
2. Distin
3. Baines
4. Heitinga
5. Hibbert

Agree0 Disagree0

In regards to the poster saying Baines hasn't done it this season. I sort of half agree with you, he was easily our best player from the start of the season till around December time, but teams generally back him up nowadays because they know he was our ONLY threat at the beginning of the season so he struggled a bit after that, now that Pienaar is back i expect him to pick it up again especially at home ort on wide pitches where there is space for him and Pienaar, you could already see against Chelsea how good Baines was because Pienaar was back. Also don't agree with Fellaini shout, he has been immense since October

Somebody told me they saw an interview with Landon after he finished his loan with us. And according to my friend he told the journalist that he thinks this will be his last season at Galaxy as he wants a permenant move to Goodison. I know the MLS has that ownership thing and it's not likely but this is what i heard and wanted to know if anyone else had heard anything? I personally wouldn't be surprised, he loves Everton and why wouldn't he want to play for us permenantly? He's not a spring chicken anymore, he plays well with us, and the manager, players and fans all love him! That would equal a move if i was him!

Steve EFC {Ed025's Note - we all love him steve...but i dont know if a rainy day in kirkdale can compete with the lure of a sun soaked californian beach?..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I saw this interview aswell on Premier League World. What he said was.....

"I'm going back to the galaxy this year for sure, and i have 2 years left on my contract, after that for sure if Everton wanted me and it was beneficial for the the MLS and Everton i could definitively see myself playing here. It's a special club with special fans" {Ed025's Note - and hes right..

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i think he said that he has 2 years left on his contract and in the near future if Everton wanted him and the deal was good for the MLS he could see himself playing here.
He will be 31 but the way he plays we could get a good 3 years out of him and he would probably go back to america to end his playing days.

Tickets are going very quick for the sunderland match, if you haven't got one yet and your wanting one i would try and get one asap, i have a good feeling about this cup run. What do you think ed?? {Ed025's Note - i have got a good feeling about it mate...the atmosphere will be electric, and i fully expect us to triumph..

Neville in midfield ahead of Barkley is criminal. Cahill offers nothing, he's not even a menace to defenders anymore. Yes, they've been good servants to the club but that doesn't merit constant selection {Ed025's Note - i tend to agree with you mate...i would love to see barkley given a run in the side, the kids quality..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I have to agree, i think Neville marshalls the team well and is a great leader but putting him centre mid is so strange, Fellaini has to work twice as hard when Neville is in there {Ed025's Note - gibbo is a big miss for us..for me, he gives felli the licence to be more creative, but we already have a great midfielder to step into the breech....his name is ross barkley..

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree mate, was watching Barkley last week for under 19s, absolute quality, his passing ability is the best ive seen for his age group, he needs to be able to show what he can do in the prem, COYB

Howard
Coleman Jags Distin Baines
Fellaini Gibson
Drenthe Barkley Pienaar
Jelly

My team for the run in when gibbo is fit. This team would be good enough for a top 8 finish and a cup final

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - good side that bez..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Hibbert at RB instead of Coleman.
Having RR ahead of Coleman would give the opposition a field day. I like Colemans directness but he has a lot to learn about defending.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman's not very good - he can't get past anyone any more - he's probably a decent championship player really

I disagree with people saying hibbert is unreliable if anything he is the opposite he makes good tackles and knows what he's doing better then anyOne commenting on here

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I'd say him and Distin are the most reliable players so far this season and in others two. He may be a bit awkward, but I trust Hibbo to do the job more than I trust Nev

I'm sure Pat Nevin is due to be added to the Gwladys legend's honour list this year and he's going round touting our manager for the Chelsea job. Cheers Pat mate!! Be quiet please!!!

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I know I just read pat nevin saying moyes would be perfect for chelsea, shut up nevin, if they get moyes that leaves us in the s**t, anyway hes already at a club that hes perfect for, EVERTON

What is happening with drenthe is he going to sign for us does he even want to the way he's being treated.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't think he is being treated badly, he tends to lose his way in games when he starts, whereas he usually has a positive impact as a sub. If he learns to be a little more disciplined he will help himself and the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you notice that when he scored he ran past moyes to a guy in the dugout - some coach it looked like - he and moyes hardly looked at each other as he went past moyes to get to the other guy

I dont know about the rest of my fellow Blues, but I cant wait for the next 3 weeks. I know its going to be tough on the Squad but this is a really exciting month. Spurs are starting to show their customary defencive frailties, RS are beatable as Cardiff nearly showed us, Sunderland are without 2 of their best players plus we beet them for fun usually and then Arsenal who are a defencive shambles. RVP aside we can do them too.

5 points and a trip to Wembly before the month is out I think... COYB - oh yes and not to mention a couple of goals for the Jelly Fish...

JUST a thought lads and im not a kop clown .but dont you think that we should give sunderland the respect they deserve and put the squad players out v liverpool as this is a smaller game and are a smaller club whos forwards are just going to dive around esp one of them and get our defenders sent off ..im still trying to find out why rodwell got sent off even fa said no foul ..so just give reds respect they deserve and let them dive around our reserves ..just a thought lads what do you think they will get no glory just cheating some young reserve ..we can tank them in semis instead...

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Obsessed with Liverpool as usual ...We will beat your bitter lot in the league and cup..17 years and counting

Agree0 Disagree0

To the bitter kopite with the first comment, its nothing to do with the fact that your liverpool, its just saying we should pay more respect to you'se because your a better team than sunderland, like we would say about allot of teams. you should be chuffed at the fact we and other clubs still pay you the respect of 'big team' you pay big money for mediocre players. oh wait I forgot your the best team in the world now you've beatin cardiff in the mickey mouse cup.
p.s how goods robin van persie though!

Team for next season with new signing:
Howard, Baines, Coleman (RB), Jags, Heitinga/Moreno, Moses, Fellaini, Rodwell, Cerci/Drenthe, Barkley and Jelavic.

A point away from home is a good point in my opinion, there is no guarantee of 3 points anymore its a tough league. Well played toffees.

Typical everton! Easily beat chelsea, then progress into the last 8 of the cup then go and draw with qpr! We were awful it was back to like it was before xmas,no desire no urgency! Qpr were winning everything! We really needed to win that as our next 3 league games are going to be tough! 3 points on saturday would of given a bit of breathing space! Not to mention closing the gap on the the red s**te and sitting 8 th rather than 13th! I knew as soon as i saw neville in midfield that we would be poor! His presence in that position is negative! Felli does his job and does it better so why have neville there aswell! Barkley should of been given a chance! I will be very annoyed if moyes keeps neville in midfield for our next game! Hes a right back at best! Moyes will have to change things around as pienaar cant play next week! So gueye could get a start or mybe switch drenthe to the left and coleman on the right! And one of either rodwell,osman or barkley in midfield! What do you reckon ed? {Ed001's Note - for me Osman, if fit has to play from the start, Barkley on the bench to come on, or to play behind the striker. I do agree on Neville, nice lad, decent technical ability but he's not a central midfielder in anything other than an emergency. When there are young players of the quality of Barkley not getting a game, it is criminal to pick Neville!}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

If neville plays in the cup we can say goodbye to winning hes a right bact at best brings nothhing in midfield cahill should be dropped and come in the last tenorfifteen mins when teams are tirering start with strac and jelovic

my fellow blues we have to wait two years till we can be quality! Distin = shocking tryting to be the hero conceding corners nev = no midfieldplayer hibbert = lacks in getting back to much of a risk cahill = legend, but has had his day! / retire we will be a better team! 2013/14

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Agree about selling Rodwell too injury prone and just a "nice" player".
Agree with Neville no way a midfielder. Back up right back, but a great leader.
BUT? Hibbert? Too risky because he doesn't back enough?? Strange claim that one mate!
and... Distin is a great defender and with Heitinga has been immense in the last 3 months.
So, agree with 2 out of 4 of your points.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should have Nathaniel Clyne filling that RB position, such a good young prospect.

I must admit I am totally gobsmacked after reading the comments on here tonight. I fully expected all the "so-called Evertonians"....& "the time for Moyes to go Brigade",to be all over these pages like a rash telling us all how Chelsea should come & get him,as he has done all he can for Everton Football Club!Wake Up.....this Great Club of ours should move heaven & earth to keep this very loyal and very talented Manager we have, secure his signature on another long term contract, let him know that we ALL want him to stay and move our Club forward again. These so-called Everton Fans who want Bill Kenwright & David Moyes out seem to think they represent a lot of the Fans.....WRONG ! Most of them have only supported the Blues for a comparatively short time probably? I went to my first match when I was 6 years old,52years ago & none of these so called fans represent my thoughts and never will. Use your energy supporting the Club & Bill Kenwright....if you force him out it could be we will go the same way as Portsmouth,Blackburn or Birmingham. David Moyes trusts Bill Kenwright unquestionably......so should We !

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Absolutely spot on fella, I feel that Chelsea will go more a more flair and fancy manager which is to our benefit as Both Moyes and BK only want the best for our great club and in Moyes we have a cracker. I agree that only the minority want Moyes out or it is mostly Koppites coming onto this site and trying to cause trouble or rifts with us fans. Let's start putting our names to our posts guys so we know who talks tosh and who talks sense

Degsybluenose

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to hold my hands up lads, I was one of the few who wanted Moyes out. I think that was a moment of madness a few months ago when we weren't doing so well. I am glad he is still with us and I believe he is the man to take us forward and hopefully, given some cash, into europe. Our sqard is looking better and better. We are missing Gibson though. I surpose its like the old saying, 'you don't miss something until its gone.' Fingers crossed he will make a quick recovery. Neville in midfield is a joke, I think he should retire and do his badges and become Moyes right hand man. Oh well, a draw at the weekend isn't ideal but we are still on our unbeaten run and teams at the bottom of the table will be hard games as they are fighting for their lives! Anyway, COYB!

Everton Al.

Its a good post and I couldnt agree more. Moyse has had more sleepless nights over this Great club than I will ever have. And trust me I've had a few. I cant think of any Manager that has a better record the Moyse who will come in, put up with the lack of investment and do a better job and last a season. Keep him at our club, keep giving him our support and he will give his all. Which is exactly what we ask of our players. COYB IMWT
