Right Blues I rate Cleverley as much as Swan does but he is here and now a blue so he gets my full support

Until Xmas, unless he proves me wrong

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - im opting out on this one murf..

05 Jun 2015 20:33:35
Kick ass line up for next season:

Howard aka the wall
Hibbo, Jags, Evans, Baines

Clevz aka the main man, barry, Ossie

Ross

Kone and Eder (coz we are linked to him today too).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yeah QB..they could all do with a good kick up the ass..except jags..

06 Jun 2015 12:21:02
Haha agreed Ed,

Just hope we come out stronger this window. My only concern is losing Stones, Jimmy Mac or Coleman. Everyone else is replacable and Jags will retire here imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if jmac or stones goes, and with the level of recruits we seem to be linked with i would fear for the manager QB, he is already in my eyes walking a tightrope, and i think that would be the last straw mate..

05 Jun 2015 19:19:08
Think cleverley will replace Osman in long term

05 Jun 2015 19:00:01
Now cleverly has signed we have to give him a chance and welcome him into our club.
If we get the cleverly from his wigan days then he will be a hit. If it's the cleverly from Everton under Moyes then he shouldn't play and being on a free with a sell on value due to his age he can't be worse than Mcgeady!!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

05 Jun 2015 20:32:24
Cleverley played under moyes at everton? Must missed that one. He is worse than mcgeady.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed025's Note - not much in it for me swan..

05 Jun 2015 22:02:44
I remember a lot of people on here complaining about the money we were paying for mc carthy at the time. Not good enough for our club etc. Seems to be the same people who are ranting about cleverly. I don't rate him much either but on a free I'll take him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - at a cost of £15m...its hardly free ray..

05 Jun 2015 22:23:27
But Mccarthy had ability at Wigan for all to see. Cleverley, well, 2 assists in 91 games. i'm done.

Agree1 Disagree2

06 Jun 2015 00:05:16
Cost 15 million ed? So if we are being like that then lukaku would have been 50 million, McCarthy 30 million and so on. Give the guy a chance it's ridiculous how people Jump on the bandwagon.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - fair enough HB, i think im turning into a cross between swan and the real mike mate, i have said my piece and will move on..

06 Jun 2015 05:53:21
only 80m for those 2 in comparison to Cleverley? Wow those guys need a raise.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jun 2015 12:50:05
Couldn't agree more on the bandwagon part blue like children following the ice cream truck :)

05 Jun 2015 18:50:33
Tom cleverly has passed his medical and will sign 5 year contract . Not the worse player in the world and should be given a chance imo

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2015 20:26:19
Get the fraud out he's killing the club. enough is enough.

05 Jun 2015 22:24:10
which fraud Alan? TC, RM, BK?.

So it's finally been announced that cleverley has joined. Please tell me he can still possibly go back to villa. Something. ANYTHING. A man booed by Utd fans and Villa fans. Should fit in well here then. But because Ferguson played him he must be good. Agreed. let's sign Anderson and Chadwick while we are at it. Club is an absolute joke. We now have the worst player in the league (world) to fit in with the worst keeper in the league and worst number 10 in the league. We have finally hit rock bottom. Laughing stock of the league now. My mate texted me laughing his arse off that we are paying 15m for TC. Unbelievable. #MartinezOut #JusticeForEverton

Its embarassing. I mean Cleverly. I'm gunna cry hope the summer drags.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2015 20:36:58
We got him "on a free" which is no where near 15 mil swan. But still with all the agent fees it will probs be about 3-4 mill spent. Which is 3-4 mill too much imo.

Can we get Ayew and Lennon and rafa now please?.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Jun 2015 21:23:54
13m on wages over 5 years plus 2m signing on fee.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed025's Note - bargain..

06 Jun 2015 09:00:54
Oh right, fair enough. My bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2015 17:36:55
Cleverley even in England squad now!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed013's Note - Only player not on his hols ;-)

05 Jun 2015 17:21:22
Ed do you think Rm shows a lack of ambition by going for average players he has already coached? He must have a feeling the fans don't like this signing yet he is prepered to put his head on the block .It feels like the Mceady transfer when everyone knew he wouldn't be good enough and he turned out even worse.Iam going to try and get behind cleverly and judge him by what he does in a blue shirt but I have a feeling they won't be singing his name on the Gladys street any time soon never have the knives been sharper for a player signing for Everton

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - Coaches and Managers will go for players that they trust as they want people around the place that they have faith in and sometimes they don't take into account the fans feelings. Also he may be on a small budget and if he can get a player he trusts within his budget, then sometimes its better doing that than wasting money on a gamble}

05 Jun 2015 16:34:12
Right, so who in the team is Clevs going to replace? If we had Macca, Ross, Mo and Clev in there then at least it brings the teams age down. Clutching at straws yes, but then I've been doing that for quite a few years now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2015 18:53:44
He will be osmans replacement imo. But I would prefer osman stay until he's 40 before Cleverley gets a game. and if its not Osman, it will be Ross. So we have another bit part player.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2015 15:47:11
Cleverley done. Five years. Nearly as shocking as opening this page and being swamped by red!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - if you see any red, then please refresh the page. If there is still any red, please let me know.

05 Jun 2015 16:34:47
Phenomenal signing this, phenomenal player, it's gunna be a phenomenal season.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Jun 2015 17:08:37
Pathetic , a player booed off by his own fans he was that bad, slowly but surely making us average

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2015 01:53:31
Not that slowly. Another bottom half finish pretty much certain if RM stays for a full season. Let's just hope its not bottom 3.

Nice to hear Martinez acknowledging that players were not fit at the start of last season. The plans outlined for this pre season seem more like it.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2015 12:15:59
Last per-season was a complete shambles. It did contribute to a poor season and we looked amateurish as a club.

Better this per-season and hopefully not only this but also our managers tactics won't look amateurish next season.

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Jun 2015 04:47:53
I said if he signs cleverly then that's the nail in the coffin for me towards RM, if this comes to fruition then I stand by that, try thinking outside the box roberto instead of going to players you were interested in a few years ago, we aren't Wigan (no offence) do what your paid well to do and if like I feel your not up to it, do 1

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - there seems to be a lot of negativity over his dealings in the transfer market mike, but i suppose we will have to wait and see what comes to pass, i have had a right old moan recently over our potential signings but im going to take a back seat and just chill and wait to see at the start of the season who has improved us before castigating him..

05 Jun 2015 11:33:57
Like everyone else I'm not overjoyed with TC. However, I am hoping it is to allow him to use funds else where. As this seems to be a signing to simply bolster the midfield rather than be a first choice signing I'm hoping the impact with be minimal.

I think the CB position will be a cheap one as well with a bit of money spent on the wings which could mean a Lennon and Deulofeu signing for us.

I do trust RM with transfers and they tend to be good ones. My problem is that I don't trust him with the players.

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Jun 2015 16:29:55
Don't think Clevs is coming here to sit on the bench, sadly.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Jun 2015 17:06:49
O my days it looks like a done deal, what a load of rubbish continuing to buy targets or players he was linked with at Wigan, the guys unreal were not wigan for Christ sake
