The moaners need to take a breather and just chill, we are trying to build on several fronts to ensure we don't have a Leeds or Portsmouth scenario and nose dive into the depths of obscurity with a model that is unsustainable!
In just 18 months we are better off financially!
Our commercial presence has grown and we are generating more income through more lucrative sponsorships!
Have genuine plans afoot for a new stadium!
Have a top manager pushing our team back towards the top of the English game and into Europe!
Have a wealth of young talent being led and nurtured by Rhino and have already one the Premier league 2
Our player recruitment has been overhauled and we are signing players to push the first team forward now!
We are attracting young talent, the stars of tomorrow to develop and these should integrate into the first team over the coming seasons!
I feel this is a special time to be an Evertonian and we should be thankful for everything Moshiri has delivered so far and thank Kenwright for delivering Mr Moshiri!

Let's be positive and. COYB!

That post has everything Southern Toffee, pretty much everything well summarised there.

Sorry for my language here, but there's some right miserable b*stards on here. Your moaning about the time it's taking to land Gilfi and the concern about the amount of money it's taking for him to come. RK and the board clearly know what they're doing, we are die hard supporters and I say 'let the professionals have the trust they deserve'. Be patient and let the good blue times roll!

Believable5 Unbelievable2

06 Aug 2017 10:00:25
Not if wellbeck is part of letting the times roll, he really does give second rate a bad name, and if as suggested we were to pay 30m, it would, in just a few months, have our new owner asking well founded questions, about how well his money is being spent.
For 30 million, I'm sure we could all reel off at least 10 better strikers, his poor goals per games record, is the reason they got rid.

06 Aug 2017 18:51:25
Who would you have instead for the same sort of money? Excluding Giroud.

05 Aug 2017 20:02:55
Hi ed report saying lookman might go to derby on loan? Surely not as we need a winger even if he stays.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i have not heard that jipster, it would be a bad move imo mate..

05 Aug 2017 20:45:05
If any young player isn't in RK's first-team planning this season - and has "outgrown" the U23s - then a loan move has to be the next step in development - but this Lookman one does seem strange.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very much so bobby..

05 Aug 2017 19:32:38
I'm not being negative - honest - but I have to ask.
Bill Kenwright said in May, "If there is a player who wants to play for Everton Football Club who Ronald wants, who Steve wants, we will get them for you. It's fantastic for me to be able to say that. "
So, what's holding up the signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson?
RK reportedly wants him, so has SW vetoed it. surely not?
Every other transfer our club has done this summer has appeared to be sorted out quite straightforwardly once serious negotiations were undertaken, so - if RK and SW want Sigurdsson and the player (reportedly) wants to come - the only other issue must be our board's concerns about the financial aspects - which seems to contradict what BK asserted just a few months back AND doesn't tie in with what several people knowledgable about FFP, profitability and sustainability, and short term cost control regulations have said regarding the club's improved finances (e. g. debt reduction, improved sponsorship income, etc. ) since Mr Moshiri arrived.
As I said, I'm not being negative, just curious.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its just the swans playing silly buggers bobby, it will all be sorted very soon mate..

05 Aug 2017 19:47:04
Ed025: how is it them playing SBs? They don't want - or have to sell - so it's up to Everton to make them an acceptable offer. Either we can do that or we are the ones trying it on with some brinkmanship for whatever reason!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they want him to stay bobby fearing a supporter backlash and are making it difficult to save face mate..

05 Aug 2017 20:17:50
Ed025: so they should never have let it be known that he'd be available for £50M - unless that's media speculation. We are also playing SBs by letting our interest (and unaccepted bids) be common knowledge, but not calling their bluff by offering the £50M. Compared to our other transfer business this summer, this deal is getting bogged down on all sides. What's the betting we don't agree the fee soon and they simply refuse a late (deadline day? ) deal and we (and the player) are left frustrated?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - hopefully it wont come to that mate..

05 Aug 2017 20:21:07
They will give in when the monies right but can't wait to late to spend the Monet on replacements!

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Aug 2017 20:38:43
It seems pretty clear that for now we're not willing to spend £50M on this player, but it's unclear why we're not or who has made that decision.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Aug 2017 21:55:28
Ever heard of the saying 'All your eggs in one basket' maybe just maybe we have other irons in the fire at a more sensible price, and with agents being in cohoots with several clubs we could be using this interest as a bit of a scaremongering tactic to get the deal we want and not what Swansea want, remember they have sold players that were idolised by fans before, Bony being the latest, this deal is not about just paying what they want its more a case of calling the bluff or just waiting for the player to force the move.

Watching Hull Villa and even though it's championship, Grosicki looks a really decent winger looking direct and pacy. Are we still interested because I'd have him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - that ship has sailed joe..

05 Aug 2017 18:54:31
Ah right mate that's a shame. Any reason why?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - not that i know of joe mate..

I just posted I would offer a straight swap for Niasse good for both parties.

05 Aug 2017 13:51:59
Now let me see, played five this pre-season, won four and drew one. scored eight and let in two. Lots of new players to integrate into the team. Promise of more new recruits to come. What is the problem?

Believable9 Unbelievable1

05 Aug 2017 14:25:38
Only played poor teams though that we shouldent lose to.

Agree2 Disagree5

05 Aug 2017 14:47:24
This incessant complaining about pre season results is embarrassing. Results don't matter. Fitness and continuity is all that matters. It doesn't matter if it's Man United or Cambridge United. If we lost or if we won. All that matters is that we are fit enough to beat Stoke and those who we meet in the Europa play offs.

Agree4 Disagree1

05 Aug 2017 15:18:09
The point I was making is that the team has done well considering the large integration of new players regardless of the quality of the opposition. Wining is important from a moral viewpoint and they have done that. Yes we need to Improve but that will come with time as fitness and communication get better.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think your right mike..

05 Aug 2017 15:55:44
And it's a point well made Mike. I just can't get my head around the criticism of the opposition. Don't they know that pre season lack of sharpness is an equaliser for the weeker teams. Can't wait for the season to start next week so that all this can be put to one side and the real stuff can be "Bantered".

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Aug 2017 19:05:34
As an arguement 2 games were not pre season friendlies but euro qualifiers.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Aug 2017 19:45:36
Not sure who you are arguing with wakka. I said in the original post that they were "pre-season". No mention of "friendlies".

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Aug 2017 19:47:49
2 of our "pre season" games were not pre season games, they were full fixtures against a side whose season started a while back and so are in far better condition than us. Add to that it was their World Cup final playing us and I think we did a very professional job on them.

I wonder what the chances are of having Gylfi paraded as a new signing at half time tomorrow.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is hard to see the Arsenal or Chelsea fans being that impressed in all honesty.}

Hi eds, just been reading that we have been made favourites to sign Giroud, what are your thoughts on this, would be a fantastic signing for us, but can you see it happening.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would love him to come heart, its whether or not he is prepared to sit on arsenals bench or not and if he is then that shows a lack of ambition so would we really want a player if that ilk?...come on olly join the revolution and prove you have the talent and desire to become an everton legend..

05 Aug 2017 12:33:04
When do we move on to other targets do you think ed? Think giroud is unlikely mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - there will be back up plans jipster and thats why koeman wants a difinitive answer soon mate..

05 Aug 2017 07:55:41
Is Kevin Campbell involved in the club behind the scenes just read his article in the echo and it's all us and we when he's referring to the toffees I really hope he is great player for us kept us up and great captain.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

05 Aug 2017 12:39:15
He's promoting the 125 year at Goodison clothing range so probably is billy.

05 Aug 2017 07:24:29
I hope this rag report is true. But it reads that Koeman wants 2. That's right 2, two, T. W. O more new strikers.

So that's 4 more players looking to come in. Gets betterer and betterer lol.

Plus isn't today the 48th hour where we should be revealing our new Icelandic international if all went swimmingly.

Actually rumour has it he is in renewed contract talks with Swansea. The apparant agreement Everton had with Swansea was no such thing. Can only repeat that if Everton really wanted him and Swansea had stated the fee, why oh why have Everton continued to play silly buggars. Thought we had put all that stuff in the past.

Agree1 Disagree3

05 Aug 2017 08:50:34
Damn Bill. That was a bit out the blue. Or extend his contract so when he go in for a 4th bid they can demand 65 million.
