Cycled past Goodison this morning. The Old Ladies makeup is looking good and I should imagine close to being complete by our next home game.

Whatever time we have left she should look pretty good for her last few years service.

Going to miss her when we are gone.

Okay maybe not. Main stand maybe. These guys look like they're having a few unscheduled tea breaks to me!

A well written article and ''Is Guardiola really the genius the media have made him out to be? . . this question was always going to be posed in this country lionizing and denouncing is a national pass time!

Imo this season will be a massive learning curve for Pep and his approach to the PL will have to be adaptable and flexible he may find winning ugly is a must do thing, or they will fail to reach the heights forecasted by swooning pundits and hype artists.

It's going to be interesting during the winter months how well his team plays. I think he's a very good manager and will adapt well to the EPL.

The problem I have with his start is that it hasn't been him or his team winning matches but the fear in the opposition. Spurs and Celtic both had a go and Sunderland to a certain degree had a good game plan and he struggled. The rest have basically rolled over and had their belly tickled.

The quality between the top and the bottom isn't as great as in the other leagues like Spain and Germany so he will have a lot more fights on his hands than he is used too. You can't put weakened teams out in the EPL.

Mcarthy exit in january for 15mil, bought for 13 million, with these crazy inflated price surely should be 20+.

I don't think he will be sold in January. When Gueye goes to ACON in January we will need him as cover.

RL . . Unless Idrissa pulls the plug on his international career, I can't see RK selling McCarthy in Jan. mate, he would need to buy before selling in this case imo.

Blue/ ace. I like mcarthy and believe he can offer a lot more than RM got out of him. Responding to an article on newsnow, linking him away for a relative low fee in regards current inflated prices. Rumours also that he may of gone in the summer if other had of come off.

I agree with RL76. On top of that I can't see Barry going beyond this season. Even if he does we need back up. Only having Besic is not enough.

RL. Fair point mate. We all get most of stuff from NewsNow to be fair. Saying that. If he does go it'll be because we have a new replacement as 24 says.

NBTB you are spot on. As good as we all want Besic to become, we just can't rely on him due to his injuries.
