The FA need to look at how they pick these refs for the games
Atkinson clearly showed last time he ref'd our derby that he couldnt handle it, wot made the FA decide that he was ok this time??

Believable2 Unbelievable2

The FA doesn't pick the referees anymore.

Degsybluenose {Ed001's Note -

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Why bother - he's clearly just a wind up who's looking for a response. Let him get on with it and don't give him the satisfaction.

Rodwell red card rightly over ruled, doesn't make it ok. Hope the referee is suspended or made to ref in the championship for a few games. Shocking

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hope your other challenge ( the real red card tackle) gets reviewed.
Your fans need investigating too

Agree3 Disagree2

Hope sad liverpool fans would go off our site, really proves that your lifes revolve around your rivals... and we're the bitter ones?

Agree2 Disagree1

They should investigate Suarez part in the incident for bringing the game into disrepute.He conned dopey Atkinson into making it a red card issue so subsequently angered the fans {Ed003's Note - nonsense}

Agree2 Disagree0

Nonsense! Its clear to everyone that suarez conned the ref! There was very little contact and he went down and rolled around on the floor like he was shot! Blatant play acting and deserves punishment!

Agree0 Disagree0

What other red card tackles? Hibbert deserved a yellow and maybe fellaini. Not every tackle on u redscum is a red now do 1 back 2 Norway beaut PADDOCKBLUE PS Suarez did over react ED {Ed001's Note - he did over react, correct, but Hibbert should have gone, no questions, it was a dreadful tackle.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh hibbos tackle warranted a yellow maybe red but but would them passages of play existed with rodwell still on the pitch? I dont think so! {Ed001's Note - if you are going to go into what ifs, you can dispute anything ever, talk about pointless.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Course its not pointless! The fact is atkinson changed the whole course of the game with the sending off! As it would in any game when theres a dismissal! {Ed001's Note - yes but to go on about how none of the other things would have happened is pointless. The point is they did happen, you just have to deal with the reality, not what might have happened.}

Agree0 Disagree0

But just to clarify im not blaming the ref for some of the suporters actions! Thats down to them and they should be banned! Im just saying the red card changed the direction of the game and things that happend after that on the pitch most likely wouldnt of occured if it didnt happen! I realise im clutching at straws but it helps me sleep at night :-) still think we woud of won though! Thats it ill say no more about it! Promise!. {Ed001's Note - I understand, I do agree to a point that it did change the game, Atkinson should be demoted for his incompetence. It is not like it is the first time he has made terrible decisions.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Its strange that a ref who is card happy and has already sent a few players off this season gets choosen to officiate a derby game, where common sence is needed to beable to ref the game properly without making snap judgements that can lead to all sorts of trouble! Lets hope the people in charge have learnt something! Anyway lets hope for an injury free international break (hate international breaks) and lets beat chelsea twice league and cup :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hibberts card was never a red, yellow yes ED if you think that was a red there would be 4 or 5 reds every game.no chance PADDDOCKBLUE {Ed001's Note - he got nowhere near the ball and stamped on the guy's ankle, according to the rules that is a red. If they were given there would not be 4 or 5 reds every game, players would just adapt and maybe not throw themselves into ridiculously rash tackles that endanger other players. It is possible for a player to adapt.}

Jack Rodwells red card overturned!! Didn't see that coming. They usually favour the ref. Will Atkinson have the backbone to appologise? The charges should be reversed and he should get a three match ban!!

Good to see we're all on the same wavelength here.... HA!!

Rodwell has won his appeal! So common sence eventually prevailed! Now is atkinson gonna make a public apology! Hope so!

Rodders has won his appeal. Now demote that clown of a ref. It's not just us he's done this to, he's got form!

Proper proper team

Howard
Hibs-Jags-Distin-Bainesy

Bench
Rodwell-Vellios-Coleman-Neville-Cahill

Binbag and out the door with a size nine up their arse
Billy-Anichebe

Degs the bluenose

Everton have the greatest and most passionate supporters I have ever seen. It's always been the same..... I remember when I was a kid, going to my first ever Everton match with my Dad. I couldn't believe the noise that came out of the mighty Goodison Park. The atmosphere was electric from start to finish... What an experience! I'm sure you all know the feeling you get when Z-cars starts playing, the blue shirts emerge from the tunnel and you know that the next 90 minutes belongs to thirty-odd thousand people in the crowd and the 11 men on the pitch, united as one! The place is deafening............
My question to you fellow blues is, is this atmosphere disappearing? I go to more or less every home game and I sit there looking around thinking, what's happened? If we go 1-0 down it's like sitting in a library! That's when we need to shout the loudest, like we used to! You may get a small group trying to get something going but people just look at them as if they've interrupted their book at a good bit! I mean come on... The crowd can win or lose a game, so it's time to show the players and the manager that we are 100% behind them all the way to the final whistle. COME ON THE BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I have top agree with you mate, Iv'e only bee to 3 games this season, i used to sit in the gwladys street a 3 years ago when i was a season ticket holder, the atmosphere was unbelievable and the lads in the lower gwladys just at the back would start of a chant and 35 thousand people would join in, i loved it.
My son is 5 now and ive took him to 3 games, i decided to sit in the family enclosure for all 3 games with it being his first games at goodison.
One of the games was a carling cup game so the noise wasn't that great which i expected but against QPR and Wigan it was pathetic, i looked across to the gwladys and there was nothing

Agree4 Disagree1

Well I hope things pick up for the sake of your son and the rest of the up and coming blues... Would be a shame if they missed out on what we used to get from Goodison.

Agree1 Disagree1

This Hillarious from start to finish..
If you mean your fans are currently the best at ...
1) throwing things at players
2) looking increasingly ugly when abusing opponent players live on tv.
3) making the club embarrassed and ashamed.
4) recording your chairman in secret
5) being bitter
6) claiming only scousers go to goodison
7) claiming Moyes is great
8) don't mind not winning
9) no ambition what so ever
10) over pricing average players..
Well I guess your right

Agree4 Disagree4

I am presuming that last post is from a liverpool fan then the last point is hilarious..... over pricing average players ?? haaaaaaa
Howard 4 million
Hibbert Free
Neville 3.5 million
Jagielka 4 million
Distin 4 million
Heitinga 6 million
Baines 6 million
Coleman 60 grand
Cahill 1.5 million
Pienaar 2 million
Arteta 2.5 million
Tommy Graveson 3 million
Barkley free
Osman free
Rodwell free
Saha free

This is just a small list of a few players that moyes has bought into the club, are you telling me these players are over priced ??

Downing 20 million
Carroll 35 million
Henderson 20 million
Keane 20 million
N'gog 7 million
Cheyrou 7 million
Heskey 12 million

There is many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many more !!!!!!

Throwing things at players ive saw recordings on youtube of liverpool fans throwing disgusing things at man united fans who had kids with them into a stand below them at old trafford, and also a MOBILE PHONE AND COINS been thrown from the kop on more than one occasion
Before you get cocky and take the high fround, look at your own fans who also staged a meeting and party on the anniversary of the munich air disaster.
EFC84

Agree5 Disagree0

WELL SAID EFC84 ! All the liverpool fans taking the high ground because of a bottle getting thrown at a liverpool, which is wrong but they are the last fans who can judge they are the worst for it !!
There think there fans are the greatest and have a god giving right to talk down to other fans when they need to look at themselves, ive saw that video on youtube off the big party they had on the anniversary of the munich air disaster ! Disgusting

Agree0 Disagree0

They must be the most disliked fans in England,Ireland,Scotland, Wales, Norway{whoops}

Just read about some landlady winning a case against the prem league over showing live games (3oclock kickoffs) in her pub! Now surely if all pubs do this now then sky will think whats the point in paying millions to secure the rights for live football and pull out! Which will financialy affect all clubs and surley affect the game attendance! Whats your thoughts ed? {Ed002's Note - It is very early in the process and this is simply the first stage of what will be several rounds of court cases. In theory, it could have a significant impact over the longer term: the UK deal is near irrelevant in the big scheme of things, everything will hinge on cross-border selling of games.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Can't wait for this cosy little cartel to be shaken up.
At the end of the day we should all be able to buy each game on a pay as you go basis and watch them live.
The free market should be open to all and deliver the best results - but somehow Sky have stitched up this deal against EU competition law.

Here's a thought - would more money or less come into the game if people could pay for the games they want on a pay as you go, free market basis?

If it's a free market - then who has the 'copyright' licensing rights to the games? Do the two clubs playing in a game own the rights to that 'performance'? Or the FA? / other?

If clubs were free to sell to the 'distributor' market themselves - would the cash to the clubs go up or down?

i.e more people would buy the live games which they're currently missing as they have no access to them - but would the free market mean that prices were forced down to the lowest competitive level - so that you could get a match for 2 or 3 quid at home?

If revenues fell significantly would Everton be a relative winner or loser, compared to clubs like Arsenal or Liverpool who have massive debts built on the current financial model.

All very interesting this.

IMO best case scenario is that revenues fall significantly across the board - leaving the clubs with big debts completely shafted, whereas Everton with a small debt could be a winner with smaller wages and players on smaller short term loan contracts etc.

We need a new ground to become an attractive investment to anyone willing to takes us further! We need investment to fund a new ground to become an attractive investment to anyone.... you see where im going with this, its a vicious circle! I dont see how were going to resolve it! Gutted! :-(

Let's not be dwelling too much on the last couple of results. We have a particularly bad run of games at the moment and, lets be fair, did we really expect to beat City and Webb? Played well in the derby but the ref spoiled it, even with ten men we did ok. The next few fixtures are very difficult too... Chelsea twice, Fulham and Manchester United. Would be over the moon with four points out of that lot!
It's November and December where we can shine.... Newcastle, Wolves, Bolton, Stoke, Arsenal, Norwich, Swansea, Sunderland and West Brom.
Nothings easy but if we can rack up the points in that spell then we can go into the new year on a high. We can do it lads!! Come on!!!!

How come on paper the team looks good - and yet we're playing without confidence?

For me we're lacking on the wings (especially if he sticks with playing coleman) and felli and rodders can be a bit slow footed in midfield.
Partnering Cahill plus the other striker isn't working.
Remember last year? - no goals until Cahill went walkabout with the aussies.

We need Gueye and Drenthe on the wings - then rodders or barkely with felli in the middle and saha plus straq/vellios up front.

How long is Moyes going to stick with Coleman and Cahil when it's obviously not working?
