In the next few years we could be seeing a midfield of Felli or Rodwell in a holding role, Drenthe wide left, maybe Coleman wide right (if he can recapture the form of last season) and Barkley and Green (if he's as good as they say) as attacking midfielders. This would allow Moyes to stick with playing 1 up front (I can't see him ever changing in that respect), maybe Vellios?

That is starting to look like a great, attacking side and all with the addition of only 1 player, who is a free agent in the summer anyway!

Keep the faith, we are going to come good in the end. {Ed025's Note - another positive blue...this positivity is catching!...keep it going guys..

If we do get a bit of cash to splash then we should go for berbatov. He has fallen out of favour since the Welbeck/Rooney/Hernandez came along and he would be ideal for our team. Also we could go for a winger which we badly need to pair uo with drenthe, Maybe adam johnson or if and thats a big big big if we get enough money i have heard that hazard wants to join a top club just a suggestion but you never know! we need a creative player aswell ever since the departure of arteta and pienaar we havent been creating enough chances. we could splash out on joao moutinho from porto who i think would be great and ever banenga, also what about adem ljajic from fiorentina. Ed your thoughts? and what do you guys think?
COYB! {Ed025's Note - berbatov is a good shout imo, the stumbling block would be his wages, as would all the other players you mention, there are some great names there, but most if not all will be looking to play european football..

And if the takeover does happen I think we will be a lot more attractive to those players and if they do decide to wear blue then we will get european football. As for berbatov at the moment he is lucky to even play football! {Ed025's Note - he has lost his way at utd,..but there is no doubting he has ability..

Then why are ye talking about splashing out money on Joao Mountinho ( 40 million pounds) , Hazard ( 40 million pounds) , Jonhson ( 20 million pounds).
The only two we have a chance of getting atm are Berbatov and Ljalic. {Ed025's Note - we are just being positive....lol

Joao Moutinho would be perfect but I think the problem lies with how highly these players rate our team, 5 of out the 6 players mentioned here will not think our club is big enough for them. It's unfortunate but simple as.

Banenga is a high possibility though mate good shout, i heard we were intrested in him a few years back. As for Hazard a bit far fetched mate, and johnson looks set for a move to liverpool, Joao moutinho was poised for a move to everton in 2008 and i think he would love to move to english football, good shout there though mate nice one!

Very fair point and i agree totally, but without money to push these transfers forward we will keep taking side steps. I just wish someone could see sense and invest in our club but I do realise that kenwright hasn't exactly been making it easy either.

The only problem with our squad is that we have youth and then we have senior players, if we bring in a few players that are on top form for a cut price then i think there would be a lot more depth to our squad. We need to get rid of some lead weights such as billy and such that way we can free up a bit of cash to buy berbatov get a few decent players on loan, I personally think that kalou from chelsea would be magnificent in our squad {Ed025's Note - thats another good shout, i think there are players out there who would suit, but it will take a bit of wheeler dealing, and some hard cash to make it happen..

One step forward and two steps back, this kind of club will never last! {Ed025's Note - you never know mate....things might get better, we must stay positive ;-)

We need to take a long hard look in the mirror and see that we arent the club we used to be, and that these things dont just happen overnight, Bill is obviously trying his best to sell us, but there is a bit of s**t coming from his mouth, and if this takeover does get finalised we wont be getting top players straight away we need to prove that we are one of the 'top 5' and only then will we be qualifying for europe. We cant be a man city we need to respect the clubs work hard heritage

How would you like if you gave someone an idea and they said you were an idiot, then they go ahead and do exactly what you had just said without them even thanking.

results so far:
lost at home to QPR (were mugged)
won away at blackburn
drew at home vs villa (deserved to win)
won at home vs wigan
lost away at man city
lost at home vs liverpool+ref (ridiculous)
lost away at chelsea
won away at fulham
lost at home vs manu (we played better

so 10 pts from 9 games but there's still no way to predict what we'll do this season
getting anything from away to 3rd place newcastle will be bonus, but then we should start to get some games where we can show what we're about
